Milwaukee, I was traded in 2015 to the Brewers and I didn’t know a soul in the organization. But that didn’t matter. The organization welcomed me in with open arms and made the transition seamless. From the players to the coaches/front office to the fans, they have all made me feel at home. I’ve made some unforgettable friendships and memories in my time in Milwaukee and I am incredibly thankful for that. Learning from the last few veterans on the team in 2015/2016 to competing for an NL pennant I will be forever grateful for the Brewers giving me my start in the Major Leagues. Most important of all, to the fans, thank you for everything. No matter what condition the team was in you guys showed your support and love for the Brewers. And in the playoffs you showed exactly what the Milwaukee fanbase is all about. The past few days anchored in the bay of Port de Sóller has been an absolute delight. This pretty little village in the north of #Mallorca is a quiet stop away from the tourists, with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants. Although it was a 12 hour sail from the capital of #Palma, in reality it is just a 30 minute drive. 😅⠀ ⠀ A tramway connects the port-side village with the main town of Sóller, about 5kms away in the hills. 🚃 The charming journey takes you from the seaside views of the bay, through the lemon and orange groves that the area is renowned for, past the looming mountain range of Alfabia, and into the heart of historic Sóller. 🍋 🍊 ⠀ ⠀ On the day we visited, the weekend markets were in full swing. Sellers hawked their wares of local produce, artisan goods and homemade crafts. A street band entertained passers-by with their swing music, whilst children and adults alike danced in the streets. Despite the compulsory masks and social distancing, for a moment all seemed right with the world. ✨ ⠀ ⠀ We spent the afternoon wandering the cobbled streets and perusing the shops. We dined in modern cafes and sipped champagne in the square, while the kids slurped on ice-creams and splashed in the town fountain. ⛲️ We took the #tram back down the mountainside before a late-afternoon swim at the beach. If you asked us to describe our perfect day, this might just be it...⠀ ⠀ The following day we lazed in the warm Spanish sunshine, before evening celebrations for Emily’s birthday with our friends Victoria and Mike from #HavaneseyDay. How nice it is to spend special occasions in good company. 🥂 And today it was time for us to take the favourable winds and continue our journey east along the top of Mallorca. TARTAR DE SALMON AL ENELDO INGREDIENTES ¼ Taza de mezcla mostaza miel ( 2 medidas de mostaza por 1 1/2 de miel ) * también puede usar 1/4 taza de la salsa de chinola y romero ¼ Taza de mayonesa 1 Libra de filete de salmón cortados en cubitos ( usa los filetes de salmón de @panameiseafood ) ¼ Taza de cebolla roja picadita chiquitita ¼ Taza de eneldo fresco picadito ( si no tiene puede usar 2 Cucharaditas de eneldo seco ) ( también puede usar la misma cantidad hinojo, en ingles seria DILL ) 2 Cucharadas de alcaparras picaditas 2 Cucharadas de zumo de limón 2 Cucharadas de puerro picadito 2 Cucharadas de aceite de oliva ¾ Cucharadita de sal ½ Cucharadita de pimienta negra Puede agregar por igual pepino picadillo sin piel ni semillas Para servir,tostadas de pan integral o chips. PREPARACION Mezcle la mostaza miel con la mayonesa y reserve. Aparte mezcle el salmón con la cebolla, eneldo, alcaparras, zumo de limón, puerro, aceite de oliva, sal y pimienta. Luego agregue un par de cucharadas de la mezcla de mostaza y mayonesa. Sirva sobre las tostadas y espolvoree un poco de puerro y eneldo por arriba. NOTA: También puede colocar la salsa de mostaza y mayonesa sobre las tostadas y servir el tartare sobre estas. These two 😍 Being an Auntie is THE BEST Gosh I love them with all my heart Real talk: I always thought I would have a family of my own by now. I’m 34 (gasp) and my vision was to work as hard as I could, marry and then enjoy being a mom while taking some time off of ‘work’ to just enjoy raising little ones. Obviously if you’ve been following me for a while, you know my life has taken a different, unexpected and heartbreaking path. My heart yearns for kids some day but I also know, deep down, that everything happens for a reason. And with time. Who knows. Maybe I will never be able to have children. I have friends that have fought silent heartbreaking battles while trying to conceive. I have friends that don’t want children. I have friends that have many kids.... We all walk different paths in life and no one knows where that path will lead. All I know is that I’m walking down my path with my head up, heart open and a smile on my face welcoming whatever may come. I love this kid so much that sometimes it hurts. I guess it may not be possible to let go of the worries that parents feel about keeping their kids safe, making sure they are healthy, doing what we can to teach them how to be happy, kind, and fulfilled, or wondering what the world we pass on to them will be like. I feel especially worried these days, with political tensions as high as they are, and very powerful forces at work to protect the interests of a tiny few. The fact that the destruction of our planet’s environment and the threatening of the very survival of our species has become a political issue instead of a human issue is very sad. Knowing that I would feel much more afraid for my sons’ safety if they were black... this cancer of inequality and injustice has to end in our lifetimes. We have so much wealth, so much resource and yet we are still acting like it’s the dark ages, hoarding for ourselves and blind to the need and pain of others. I guess a society is the sum of the people in it, so I am praying today for kindness, generosity and wisdom, for myself and for every person on this planet. We’re in this together, no one is getting out alive, let’s make this planet the paradise that it can be and that we all deserve. Я не знаю, получится все с первого раза или с десятого, но я знаю точно, что моя жизнь не будет прежней, что я буду расти и развиваться именно в том направлении, в котором вижу себя. ⠀ Хочется процитировать слова, автора которых я уже, к сожалению, не помню: лучше уезжать из родного города с покоем на душе и с тёплыми чувствами к людям, нежели с ненавистью ко всем и с отчетливым желанием убежать куда подальше. Ведь главная истина всех времён - от себя не убежишь. ⠀ Я чувствую покой на душе и радость, что я нахожусь сейчас не в прошлом. Сходить к офтальмологу 2. Сходить к зубному (у меня ещё стоит ретейнер) 3. Утвердить новую коллекцию купальников🤩 4. Отфоткать детей в новой коллекции купальников👼🏼 5. Поухаживать за волосами 6. Сделать маникюр 7. Пройти ТО на машину 🚙 8. Купить подарок 9. Ещё вопросы по купальникам обсудить 10. Не забывать тренироваться😅✌🏼 11. И не забывать покушать, а то не успеваю часто🥺 12. Отредактировать музыку 13. Английский я не успеваю, а надо( 14. Дела с бумагами в госуслугах 15.
