Focus on the Good. Because my current body mate parties all night, I couldnt sleep. This sleep deprivation afforded me the opportunity to catch up avec un mon ami in Australia. We discussed the fickleness of friendships on social media. She shared the hurt shed experienced from thinking shed formed genuine bonds to being ghosted. During my morning walkie-talkies via my stories, I shared my experiences (check them before they delete.) Theres a few things I can take away from my time blogging/being on social media: ☝🏽. Social media provides space for people to be: who they wish they could be, who they want to become or intensifies who they already are. ✌🏽. Social media is a different experience for everyone. Some use this space to seek validation, accreditation or confirmation. Others use this space to form relationships/bonds that their introverted (or social skills) personalities prevent in real life. There are genuine people on the internet and I can attest to that. I have met mes amies who I know wholeheartedly are there for me, on or offline. The choice is yours. Will you focus on the few fickle friends/followers? Or will you choose to cultivate and connect in all things good/light? Be gentle mes amies, you never know the mental or emotional state of the people behind the façade we see on their feeds. 📷 I had to pose in just a dramatic form. If youve been feeling down lately (so literally everyone), then allow Talia Hibbert to make you feel better - if you havent already! I realise Im extremely late to the party, but if youre a fellow late party-goer then pick up a copy, stat! Im still not sure how I feel about the steamier parts of romcoms being read out-loud to me... but the audiobook experience is also excellent, Adjoa Andoh is a fab narrator. . After a near brush with death, chronically ill computer nerd Chloe Brown decides she needs to get a life. So she does what she does best: makes a list. The first item is moving out of her familys mansion and renting her own place. But she soon realises she might need a little help with some of the other items on her get-a-life list. So she recruits Red Morgan (superintendent by day, artist by night, looks intimidating but has a heart of pure gold) to give her some guidance - and a ride on his motorbike (item 3 on the list). . Okay, Im still fairly new to romcoms so I dont have an extensive frame of reference, but Talia Hibbert writes sexual tension SO. WELL. The steamy scenes were 👀🔥 But the cute scenes were equally well written - Red is such a sweetheart! And I 100% want to be best friends with Chloe! I took my time listening to this one because it made me feel so happy and I wanted to parcel out the happiness. There was a chapter made up of email exchanges between Chloe and Red and it made me want to cry with happiness as they bantered back and forth. But then towards the end Hibbert got VERY real and ended up making me cry for real which??? I dont remember giving her permission to do that but I immediately forgave her. . And if youre like me and can’t stand when half the plot hinges on miscommunication, fear not! These characters might be stubborn and snarky but they talk to each other, even when things get tough. And this book has received so much well-deserved praise for its representation and handling of fibromyalgia, which Chloe suffers with, as well as domestic abuse. Hibbert does a brilliant job balancing the more serious side with the fluffy side! . Long story short: read this book, be reminded that there is joy in the world ❤ - @ab_reads on Instagram

Ingredientes • (15 g.) 1 cucharada de aceite • (16 g.) 4 dientes de ajo cortado finamente • (75 g.) ½ taza de cebolla cortada finamente • (75 g.) ½ taza de pimentón rojo cortado finamente • (75 g.) ½ taza de pimentón verde cortado finamente • (40 g.) 2/3 taza de culantro cortado finamente • (10 g.) 1 sobre de Consomé de Costilla Criolla MAGGI® • (250 g.) 2 tazas de carne de res cocida y deshilachada • (454 g.) 1 libra de arroz crudo • (1250 ml.) 5 tazas de agua • Sal y pimienta al gusto Instrucciones 1. En una cacerola a fuego alto, verter el aceite, sofreír el ajo, la cebolla y los pimientos hasta que estén dorados. 2. Agregar la carne, el Consomé de Costilla Criolla MAGGI®, combinar y sofreír por 2 minutos. 3. I do a lot of junk journaling and one of my favourite parts of journaling is custom-making my own inserts. I feel like it adds more character to my journal than using ready-made ones.
