Happy release day to me. Companion Rises is officially out. The process of making this one was a bit different than recent 6 Organs records in that I did everything myself, sort of like those early jams, even down to the the photos on the cover and inside. Mostly this was just to show myself that I can still do this thing solo, just as I imagined the project when I first started. That said, I still drew on experiences I’ve had over the years making music with so many of my friends. I thought of @randallbdunn telling me years ago, “you gotta get some varied pre-amp sounds when you record to make the sound more diverse.” I thought of one of my oldest friends, Utrillo (who I’ve played in countless bands with, including Comets), and how he might play drum fills to these songs as I programmed the beats. I thought of another dear friend, Rob Fisk, and how he is able to conjure up the most hidden sounds from just a few strings on his guitar. Just a few examples of folks I have been lucky enough to make music with over the years who’s ideas flow through me, even if I’m not conscious of it at the time. So even though the credits say everything by me, really this record is a plane of convergence where many inspirations and ideas shared or learned from friends meet. And it is a reminder to myself that I’ve been very lucky to be able to share those experiences with so many amazing people. - @6organs on Instagram

Grandes sucessos - Abril Cultural - Vim aqui mostrar pra quem não conhece esses livros da editora abril que entraram em circulação no começo dos anos 80. Eles são muito fáceis de encontrar em sebos por preços baratinhos (compro uns novinhos por 5 reais num sebo aqui da cidade). A coleção tem livros clássicos como Madame Bovary, Dom Casmurro e Orgulho e preconceito; e livros de autores famosos e sucessos editoriais como Admirável mundo novo, Uma canção nas trevas e tubarão. - Eu coleciono os livros de terror e ficção científica dessa edição , pois gosto muito das capas e o miolo é bem bom, tem letras grandes e tem uns títulos excelentes. Parecem pockets, mas não são. Alguns títulos são encontrados hoje em dia na editora Darkside como Amityville, Tubarão e O colecionador. O bom é que, pra colecionador exigente que nem eu, dá pra encontrar alguns novinhos se você procurar bem (obrigado aqueles que, assim como eu, tem cuidado com seus livros). - Espero que tenham gostado da dica. Hej, cześć, witajcie 🙂 Ostatnio przeczytałam książkę Perfekcyjna żona. Cóż ja mogę o niej powiedzieć? Pomysł na fabułę ciekawy i niepowtarzalny. Otóż poznajemy kobietę, która jest robotem. Następnie całą historię jej powstania, a także jakie wiodła życie. Dużo tu nie wiadomych i ciekawie odkrywa się życie przed kawałek po kawałku. Czy prawdziwa kobieta żyje? Czy popełniła samobójstwo? A może uciekła od problemów? Przeczytajcie. Osobiście pierwszy raz się spotykam przy thrillerze z robotami i to ciekawe. Jednak ciężko było mi się odnaleźć w takiej głównej bohaterce i przez to nie miałam ochoty często po nią sięgać. Jako thriller jest dobra, ponieważ emocje stale są wzbudzane, ciekawość ciągle jest wzbudzana. Lecz osobiście wolę osobno powieść psychologiczną i osobno powieść fantastyczną. Nie zagrało mi to. Aczkolwiek nie mówię, że książka jest zła. Po prostu mamy różne gusta i tu trafiłam na akurat nie mój. Mas como Deus é maravilhoso, na SubDay consegui comprar por R$162 com os descontos, então cancelei o primeiro e economizei bastante. Também já tinha vendido os meus antigos, o que ajudou a cobrir mais da metade do novo valor. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ O box é sem dúvidas o mais lindo da estante. As capas são iguais as avulsas (que eu amo, acho nossas capas as mais lindas do mundo), mas a folha é melhor, em Pólen Soft. Não sabia disso, e foi uma ótima surpresa. A caixa também parece suficientemente resistente. Amei os marcadores e os cards e claro, a mochila! Achei-a espaçosa e confortável e discreta. As most know, the original BOOMBOX location is in Downtown Lake Charles. We are lucky to have received minimal damage, but we are saddened by the state of our area. Many other local businesses did not fair as well as we did. This was found among the mess and debris in one of our employee’s home. A nod from the 1980s to 2020. O disco de estreia, Facelift, já tinha dado um certo reconhecimento à banda, mas o álbum Dirt a levou ao estrelato. . A sonoridade depressiva e o clima meio sombrio tomam conta do disco, e acabou firmando-se como característica da banda. Várias canções falam dos vícios e foram compostas ainda na turnê de Facelift. O som pesado e o vocal único de Layne Staley, com o apoio de Jerry Cantrell, tornam o som do AIC perfeito. . Certa vez Layne Staley falou sobre as letras depressivas e o mofo como as pessoas encaravam. Ele disse que a intenção não era deixar ninguém pra baixo, mas que as pessoas que passassem por momentos depressivos, pudessem se identificar com as letras e que aquilo era muito mais comum do que pensavam. Gente sempre me recomendaram essa saga da Sarah, só que sou daquelas que quer a coleção completa pra ler tudo de vez porque sempre fico anciosa com as continuações, o que acontece sempre, e tipo quando lançou eu surtei, assim acabei comprando, só que houve o fato de infelizmente as pessoas receberem a box rasgada ou amassada em várias partes, marcadores faltando e como consumidor de um produto que é novo eu entendia a chateação dessas pessoas eu até fiquei meio preocupada porque ainda não tinha recebido o meu. Então no caso vou falar do que eu recebi que chegou em perfeito estado na minha casa, e elogiar a @galerarecord por trazer edições tão bonitas como essa, só ressalto que melhorias sempre são bem-vindas, as orelhas vão fazer um pouco de falta pra mim, porque corre o risco de o livro amassar mais rápido e também de a caixa ter que ser um pouco maior pra que eu não tenha problemas na hora de retirar o livro.
