I gained 4kgs since the lockdown began. 😞 It’s the first time that I’ve seen my face this puffy and my weight this heavy and I don’t feel good about it... There are many times that I feel unmotivated because of this. Because of the world’s pressing needs, it’s easy for us to forget that God has a personal interest in the anxieties of our hearts — us gaining weight, our skin breaking out, our fear of getting the virus, our financial dilemmas, and so on... but God just affirmed through this that He’s listening, He’s watching, He’s concerned, and He cares. So please read the Bible because God has something to say about the concerns of your heart no matter how tiny you think it is! What matters to you, matters to Him! Our God is awesome! Occasionally I need to remind a client how the social gather they stayed up a little to late for and drank and ate a little too much, is a big part of why we workout hard and eat well each day. . It’s about not feeling guilty when enjoying meaningful social time with friends and family. Granted if this becomes an everyday problem where overall rating is poor and no workouts ever get done, we have a major problem. . On the flip side we can just be automatons who only eat from tupperware and forgo birthdays and weddings for an extra workout. . We maintain our physical and mental health to be able to enjoy and participate in life. For many of us the gym has become a huge part of our life. It can’t be the only and all encompassing thing we do. . So as you live to train, don’t forget we’re also training to live. And truth is, this hits home🏡 to me because back in college... my healthy eating turned into a bad problem👎🏼 that actually resulted in me gaining weight after I thought I had completed my weight loss journey💔 . For one fit babe👯‍♀️ I recently worked with in my program, she was always binging on peanut butter🥜 and literally couldnt allow it in the house. The biggest difference between Instagram REELS and TikTok is the algorithms!! Understanding exactly how the REELS algorithm works is absolutely essential for your success! So let’s go through it together... 👇🏼 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Step 1️⃣: You make a REELS video and you have the option to share it on your profile. You ALWAYS want to click yes on this option. Why? Because when you show it on your profile, it encourages your current followers to engage right away!! These first few minutes of engagement are what will determine the livelihood of your post. Videos that are not shared to your profile tend to get significantly lower engagement and therefore die off sooner. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Step 2️⃣: Once your video is shared to your profile, it begins being pushed out to your followers newsfeeds. Instagram tracks how much engagement your post gets compared to the time that it has been live. The faster the post collects likes, comments and shares, the higher priority it is given in the Instagram algorithm. If the post does well and is gaining traction from your followers then Instagram starts promoting it under the hashtags and location tags that you’ve provided. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Step 3️⃣: At this point, your post starts being prompted to new users who don’t already follow you via the hashtag pages, location page and discover page. If new people chose to engage, Instagram determines that your post is a winner and continues to move it up the ranks, showing it to more and more people. We don’t need to create something entirely new, just an improvement — something different and better.⠀ ⠀ Price: ⠀ ⠀ This is the value you’re placing on your products (COGS + perceived value = what you’re able to charge).⠀ ⠀ Promotion: ⠀ ⠀ These are your marketing campaigns — the angles, creative and copy you’re using to make your product appealing to your audience. ⠀ ⠀ Placement: ⠀ ⠀ This is where your product is being sold (online vs retail) but I’d extend this to marketing placement (social / search etc).⠀ ⠀ OK so moving onto the 4 E’s before I run out of characters...⠀ ⠀ Engagement:⠀ ⠀ Story sells. People want a reason to buy. Your re-useable drink bottle does more than infuse fruit into their water — it also helps to reduce the environmental impact of single use plastic. “People hate to be sold to but they love to buy”⠀ ⠀ Experience:⠀ ⠀ From your customer’s perception of your brand, to the buying process itself (intuitive web design, payment + shipping options, reviews, guarantees etc), receiving and unboxing their product to using it — buyer experience matters and it will improve results across the funnel. Plus people like sharing good experiences.⠀ ⠀ Exclusivity:⠀ ⠀ Things don’t only have to be exclusive because they’re expensive. At The 5th we were exclusive by time, not by price — as although affordable, our watches were only available on the 5th of each month for 5 days. This exclusivity increased perceived value while the scarcity increased demand.⠀ ⠀ Emotion:⠀ ⠀ Sell feelings, not things. Benefits, not features.
