Push ups are a great upper body exercise! Many times people struggle with their form and simply give up. Here are three great ways to do a push up! 1) Full push up. You can do this on a bench, wall, table, etc. The higher up the object the easier it will be. 2) Negative push ups. These are hands down the best way to build up your strength to be able to do floor push ups. 3) knee pushups. These are okay if you absolutely cannot do one modified on an object or negative. The core activation is minimal when on your knees. One area that people tend to struggle with pushups is if their core is too weak. Form:: Bring your belly away from your shirt (without moving your hips) Keep your hips inline with the rest of your back (dont drop them low, dont bring them up to the ceiling) Hands are under shoulders Elbows stay close to sides. When at the bottom of a push up they should make a w. So crunches are not the best solution for “abs”. ⠀ ▪️Performing the correct “Deadbug”▪️ ⠀ 🔹Knees at 90 degrees. (Don’t bring the knees any higher than your hip joint) ⠀ 🔹Neutral spine. (There should be no arching of the spine here, which will want to happen.) ⠀ 🔹Arms vertical ⠀ 🔹Reach opposite limbs at the same time, then alternate. ⠀ 🔺I typically see lack of control in the lower lumber/pelvic region. Svenska Orienteringsförbundet avslutar sitt läger på Bosön med aktiviteter i labbet. De aktiva fick prova klimatrummet. Först 15 minuter löpning i långdistansfart utanför klimatrummet med pulsmätning. Därefter 15 minuter löpning på samma hastighet inne i klimatrummet, i 27 graders värme, 70 procent luftfuktighet samt en höjd av 2 000 meter. Det blev genomgång av lyftteknik och övningar inför vinterns styrketräning samt löpteknikanalys på löpbandet.
