Try these four moves to mix up your backbending routine 💫⁣ ⁣ 1️⃣ Shoulder stretch - from wheel, push your shoulders towards the wall for a deep upper body stretch⁣ ⁣ 2️⃣ Drop back drill - stand with your back facing the wall. Reach your arms behind you and slowly walk your hands down the wall. Great prep for eventually doing a drop back from a stand! ⁣ ⁣ 3️⃣ Wheel kickover - push up into your wheel with your feet facing the wall. Next, place your foot onto the wall and keep your knee at a 90 degree angle. Gently push off the wall and kick over. Try switching feet and see which side feels more natural. ⁣ ⁣ 4️⃣ Handstand to wheel. I know many of you embarked on your Yoga journey, practising Yoga during the Circuit Breaker. However, without setting new goals in your new routine, it is easy to lose motivation for self-practice. So are you ready to take your practice to the next level? When learning the front splits, you not only build flexibility but also strengthen your muscles, tendons, and ligaments, especially around your joints! Yoga is also proven to improve your posture and reduce stress. The splits used to be very impossible for me but with a lot of patience, self-practice, and discipline, I finally achieved my front splits, and I believe so can you. Practise this sequence all on the right side first and hold each pose for at least one minute. Focus on deep breathing through your nose and try exhaling longer than your inhalation to deepen your stretch. Then repeat this sequence on your left side.
