Когда всевышний распределял земли между народами сотворенного им мира, узбек скромно стоял в стороне и пропускал вперед всех остальных. Когда он остался последним в очереди, господь сказал: «Дитя мое, ты оказался поистине щедрым душой, но земля у меня кончилась! Но не грусти – вместо земли я подарю тебе кусочек Рая». Именно эту легенду о том, как на Земле появился райский уголок, мне рассказали в Узбекистане, уточнив, что речь в ней идет именно о Самарканде, ставшем вторым по значимости городом современного Узбекистана. А так как находился я в этот момент на площади Регистан, в самом центре Самарканда (столицы древней Согдианы), то спорить не было ни причин, ни смысла, тем более что уже тогда я был уверен, что не только сам приеду сюда еще раз, но и расскажу о нем в журнале. Площадь Регистан – настоящая гордость восточной архитектуры. На протяжении многих веков ее ансамбль служил центром культурной и общественной жизни Средней Азии: здесь устраивали шумные праздники, торговые ярмарки и провожали воинов на ратные подвиги. И спустя сотни лет Узбекистан не изменяет традициям: в этом году в величественной атмосфере исторического комплекса Регистан состоялся 12-й Международный музыкальный фестиваль «Шарк тароналари», или «Мелодии Востока»: шоу собрало настоящий калейдоскоп культурных традиций со всех уголков мира и за годы проведения заслужило титул одного из самых престижных форумов искусств в мире. Древние минареты и медресе, озаренные всеми цветами радуги, звездное небо над старинным амфитеатром, яркие национальные костюмы и, разумеется, неповторимые мелодии карнаев и сурнаев – более аутентичную атмосферу и придумать сложно. Праздник музыки и танцев, воспевание великих традиций и уникального культурного наследия каждого народа – это то, чем отметится фестиваль 2019 года, на который собрались артисты и творческие коллективы из 47 стран мира. Di usianya ke-16 tahun, Effendi muda bergabung dengan Komando Daerah Militer X/Lambung Mangkurat. Ia kemudian mengakhiri tugas sebagai Kopral Kepala Provost untuk Kesdam (Kesehatan Daerah Militer) Kodam X/Lambung Mangkurat. Hingga pensiun dari karir militernya pada tahun 1993, Kopral Effendi mulai membantu menyeberangkan pejalan kaki sejak tahun 2017. . Dargah Hazrat Makhdoom Jahaniyan Jahangasht,Uch Sharif, Pakistan #KnowOurSufis #Sufinama #Sufism #Tasawwuf #SufiHeritage #CompositeCulture मख़दूम जहानियाँ सय्यद जलाल उद्दीन जहाँगश्त बुख़ारी का अस्ल नाम हुसैन था। पाकिस्तान के उच इलाक़ा में 707 हिज्री मुताबिक़ 1307 ईसवी में शब-ए-बरात की रात में पैदा हुए । ये हज़रत जलालउद्दीन सुर्ख़ पोश बुख़ारी के पोते और सय्यद अहमद कबीर के साहिब-ज़ादे थे। मख़दूम जहानियाँ ने कुछ अ’र्सा दिल्ली में हज़रत शैख़ नसीरुद्दीन चिराग़ दिल्ली की ख़िदमत में भी गुज़ारा और उनकी निगरानी में मनाज़िल-ए-सुलूक तय किए। हज़रत मख़दूम के दिल्ली आने का ग़रज़ बादशाह-ए-वक़्त से मिलने का होता था और इस वसीले से वो हज़रत शैख़ नसीरुद्दीन चिराग़ दिल्ली से मुलाक़ात का शरफ़ भी हासिल कर लेते और उनकी मजालिस की ज़ीनत भी बनते थे। सुल्तान फ़िरोज़ शाह तुग़लक़ को मख़दूम जहानियां से बहुत अ’क़ीदत थी जब ये दिल्ली का रुख़ करते तो सुल्तान फ़िरोज़ शाह उनके हालात-ए-सफ़र का जायज़ा अपने दरबारियों से लेते रहते और जब आप दिल्ली पहुंचने वाले होते तो सुल्तान फ़िरोज़ शाह अपने लश्कर के साथ शहर से बाहर निकल कर उनका इस्तिक़बाल करता और बड़ी इज़्ज़त और अ’क़ीदत के साथ उन्हें शहर में लाता। मख़दूम साहिब सात से दस दिन के वक़्फ़े से सुल्तान से मिलने जाते; रास्ते में ज़रूरत-मंद अपनी अ’र्ज़ीयां उनके पालकी में डाल देते और ये बादशाह से मुलाक़ात के वक़्त सलाम-ओ-दुआ’ के बा’द सबसे पहले तमाम अ’र्ज़ियाँ बादशाह के सामने रख देते और जब तक सारे अ’र्ज़ियों के जाइज़ मुतालबात पूरे ना हो जाते मख़दूम जहानियाँ सुल्तान से मुलाक़ात की कोई ग़रज़ पेश ना करते। शाही ख़ानदान से उनके गहरे मरासिम थे और हर एक छोटे बड़े, उमरा वुज़रा और शहज़ादे उनकी ता’ज़ीम बजा लाते थे। एक रोज़ शहज़ादा महमूद ख़ान मख़दूम जहानियाँ की ख़िदमत में हाज़िर हुआ तो उन्होंने उसे टोपी पहनाई और कुछ तबर्रुक दिया और रुख़्सती के वक़्त फ़रमाया कि सुल्तान को उनका सलाम पहुंचाए। दो रोज़ बा’द शहज़ादा ज़फ़र ख़ान, उनका बेटा, शहज़ादा तुग़लक़ शाह और चंद अराकीन-ए-सल्तनत सुल्तान का पैग़ाम लेकर मख़दूम जहानियाँ की ख़िदमत में हाज़िर हुए और उनसे ये इल्तिजा की कि सुल्तान की ये ख़्वाहिश है कि जनाब शाही महल में तशरीफ़ फ़रमाएँ। मख़दूम जहानियाँ उसी वक़्त उनके साथ चलने को तैयार हो गए। शहज़ादा तुग़लक़ शाह ने उनका हाथ पकड़ कर उनको पालकी में सवार किया और शाही महल में लाए। क़ियाम के दौरान एक दिन सुल्तान फ़िरोज़ शाह का पोता शहज़ादा मुबारक ख़ान मख़दूम जहानियाँ की ख़िदमत में हाज़ - @sufinama on Instagram

Lets take a break from Morocco and go a little north, back to where Europe and Asia meet.⁠ ⁠ Hagia Sophia is one of my favorite attractions in Istanbul (more than the Blue Mosque), with its uniqueness of formerly being both a church and a mosque at different times. It was then declared a museum open to all. As you walk through, youll see inscriptions from both religious faiths that have been preserved in one central place. It was built in seven years, starting around 1634–1635 AD, during the reign of the Mughal Emperor Shah Jehan. It was built by Hakim Shaikh Ilm-ud-din Ansari, a native of Chiniot, who rose to be the court physician to Shah Jahan and a governor of Lahore. 19.12.17 - I got to visit one of the holiest cities in the world (Jerusalem) and also had the privilege of praying in one of the most sacred mosques in the world. Palestinians who dont live within the city of Jerusalem arent even able to visit this mosque - their birth rite- becauseof the Israeli occupation, so for me to be able to enter was so humbling. This whole experience was so gratifying for me, I felt so blessed. I will never forget this city or this country. At a hostel in Tbilisi I met a guy from Iran. We went out to get some dinner and he said all he needed was beers and anything with pork due to his “lack of pork intolerance”. I knew he was gonna be fun to hang around. We got talking and I mentioned I was thinking of going to Iran the next week and he invited me to stay at his place. / Fast forward a week and he’s picking me up from the airport and taking me around Tehran. Showing me the sights and introducing me to his friends. A few days go by and I start to say my goodbyes, mentioning I want to hitchhike around and see the rest of the country before my visa runs out. He said “I want to come” and I was like “yeah man but don’t you have a job as a professor of medical engineering at a university?” He picked up his phone, sent a text and said “well... not anymore” and we jumped in his car and did a road trip through Iran for three weeks 🚗 / This is a picture looking up into the ceiling of a mosque. Aya Sofya, Hagia Sophia - Church, Mosque, Museum - My favourite thing about this beautiful historical place was that it seemed to have the space and the heart to be everything to everyone - its rich cultural tapestry was symbolic of the vast heritage of Turkey: awe-inspiring, magnificent, ever-changing (glossing over the darker bits) but the government’s decision today to make it a mosque doesnt appear to me to be the restoration of lost grandeur. Instead somehow it makes it a smaller space. Again, symbolic, but this time of an increasingly exclusionary, illiberal Turkey. Any other year, wed all be flocking to the mosque tonight for (what may be) Laylatul Qadr, the holiest night of Ramadan in which the Quran was revealed. • Allamah Manzoor Ahmad Shah once saw a Cat 🐈 whilst in the Courtyard of Masjid Al-Nabawi 🕌 (ﷺ) and he instantly fell in LOVE ❤️ with it - so he intended to take it back Home with him to Pakistan 🇵🇰 as a lasting memory of the Blessed City. During the final of his stay, he fell asleep and saw that exact cat in his Dream. It was sat down by The Green Dome 💚 and it Said, I cried all last night saying, Ya Rasulullah (ﷺ), dont let him take me out of your City Because I cant live without you! He realised that it was a sign that he shouldnt take it back Home with him. Prophet Mohammad (ﷺ) stopped leaning on a Tree 🌲 during his Khutbah and it began to weep with such emotion out of yearning that The Mosque 🕌 began to shake. • Prophet Mohammad (ﷺ) Said, I surely know of stones that would greet me with Salam in Makkah 🕋. Camels complained to him (ﷺ) and presented their affairs to him, inanimate objects came to life out of LOVE ❤️ for him, Uhud shook out of excitement and joy when he placed his Blessed foot on it. Everything in creation LOVES ❤️ him (ﷺ). If we are not supposed to take soil and Earth 🌎 out of MADINAH 💚 - then tell me - what kind of affiliation do living creatures have with the Mercy to Mankind (ﷺ)? The Prophet Mohammad (ﷺ) Said, Uhud is a Mountain - it LOVES 💕 us and we LOVE ❤️ it! The main prayer hall of Badr Mosque is a hypostyle hall with several pillars which support horseshoe-shaped arches along the parallel naves. The floors are covered with red Moroccan carpets. While the ceiling of the central dome which is the most important in terms of decoration and beauty, is made of carved plaster with geometric and floral representations. The Al-Askari shrine, located in Samarra, is a remarkable example of Iraq’s ancient Islamic architecture. The shrine was built in 944 and is one of Iraqs four holiest Shia mosques. The dome of the mosque was completed in 1905 and was covered by 72,000 golden pieces. The shrine was heavily damaged by massive bombings carried out by two separate terrorist attacks in 2006 and 2007.
