The world lost an iconic promoter in the NW with Mike Thrasher. That man alone has given us so many fantastic times enjoying the shows and bringing your favorite bands over the last 25+ years. He started as a concert promoter and expanded to so many other avenues like opening the Hawthorne Theater, creating Cascade Ticketing, and starting the 5 and Dime. He was probably the largest independent promoter on the West Coast as he was as DIY as it gets. It’s a terrible loss as he was so young and was just getting started in another chapter of his life that we all would have benefited from.
