BGT Brands Hatch completed. A weekend of a lot of promise but never the results. FP1 and 2 showed we had the pace to be right at the front with P1 in both sessions until the track went quicker. Going into Quali, Rich did an amazing job with fastest Am in quali! But when I went out I got blocked on two laps leading to a disappointing qualifying. Rich had a great start to the race gaining positions and being as quick as some silvers but towards the end tyre pressures went way too high meaning the pace dropped when I got in we thought we had dropped pressures enough but we hadn’t leading to me having 0.3 bar too much which made the car awful to drive. I still held onto P3 in Pro-Am but wasn’t happy with my race pace due to over pressures. But we are showing promise to get a really good result. After the successful participation in the sprint race and a sensational overall victory in the Saturday race of the International GT Open on Austrian Red Bull Ring, the KTM X-BOW GTX Concept entered by Reiter Engineering unfortunately was disqualified after the post-event scrutineering. The determining factor that ultimately led the stewards of the meeting come to this decision was a formal irregularity in the homologation documents. Reiter Engineering has been previously entrusted by KTM Sportcar GmbH with the task to prepare and submit these documents. Unfortunately, an undetected spelling mistake occurred during the issuing of these documents, which has led to the assumption that the KTM had started the race with the wrong brake disc. On the occasion of this, the company Reiter Engineering wishes to convey its most sincere apologies to KTM, the both drivers Stefan Rosina and Patric Niederhauser and the organizers of the GT Open for any inconvenience it might have caused. For the second race on Sunday, the typing error has been corrected and the new documents were submitted to the scrutineers, so that the team could start the race with the same specifications as on the day before, but with corrected and approved homologation papers. An appeal has been lodged against the disqualification, as the team has the fundamental opinion that the decision - to withdraw a deserved victory - is unjustified against the drivers, who worked in a hard and honest manner to achieve it. In our opinion Reiter Engineering should receive a penalty for this typo, but not the drivers. Despite all the circumstances, we would like to thank the International GT Open very sincerely for giving us the great opportunity to present our new car in the highly competitive GT3 environment. We will finally be reopening Monday, June 15 with regular hours! We will be taking a multitude of precautions to ensure our guests have a safe but fun experience with us. All races will be limited to 10 people or less and we will be reducing the number of races per hour to provide additional buffer before and after races to reduce potential contact between different groups. The registration and pre-race procedures have been changed to maintain social distancing and increase efficiency. Registration kiosks will be placed throughout the lobby to increase social distancing and there is also an option to register on the app. Our new helmet decontamination units are here and will be completely decontaminating and sanitizing each helmet and neckbrace after every race. Headsocks will continue to be single use prior to deep cleaning and sanitizing, but we will also have a full-face option available for a small charge that can be taken and reused by guests. Karts will be wiped down after each use and staff will have masks and gloves on. The lobby will be cleaned and sanitized regularly throughout the day. Additional sanitization stations will be available for our guests to use. We continue to recommend guests wear masks and anyone at high risk or over the age of 65 refrain from karting with us at this time. Das Rennwochenende hat mega angefangen mit der Tagesbestzeit im Training am Freitag 🏁 Bei einem spannenden Rennen im Regen hab ich am Samstag dann leider in der letzten Runde knapp das Podium verpasst (P4). Am Sonntag hatten wir Probleme im Qualifying, so dass ich mich bei dem starken Feld im Rennen dann nur noch von P9 auf P7 vorarbeiten konnte. Bonjour à tous, Le week-end dernier, j’étais à Hockenheim pour mon premier week-end de F3 Eurocup. Le week-end c’est passé principalement sous la pluie. J’ai pu me classer deux fois 8ème pour les qualifications. Course 1 j’ai réussi un bon départ et ensuite la voiture me permettait d’avoir un bon rythme en course. Elle me permettait aussi de rouler en attaquant ce qui m’a permis d’aller chercher la 5ème place. Ensuite la course 2, le départ était aussi bien et le début de course également. Je peux remonter jusqu’à la 5ème place aussi, mais la piste était très humide, je me suis fait surprendre et la voiture est partie en tête à queue. Je me suis retrouvé au fond du peloton, mais j’ai tout donné pour terminer à la 12ème place. Cette 5ème place me réjouis vraiment pour mon premier week-end en F3 Eurocup. En plus j’ai pu me qualifier deux fois dans le top 10. Maintenant je me prépare pour mon prochain week-end de course qui se déroulera les 25 et 26 Octobre, sur le circuit Yas Marina à Abu Dhabi. L.A. Honda World Racing heads to Daytona to start the 2020 IMSA season L.A. Honda World Racing returns to the IMSA Michelin pilot challenge with all three Honda Type R TCR cars with a few changes. “We have put in a lot of work in the short off season. From preparing the cars to confirming our driver lineup.” said team principal Luis Perocarpi. “All three of our cars will be podium contenders. Our amazing crew is back with a couple of new team members. The TCR class is going to be tough but we are ready for the challenge!” The #37 car is the defending TCR winner of the four hour event with Shelby Blackstock back behind the wheel. Shelby returns to the team with Chris Miller as his new teammate. “Both Shelby and Chris started their racing careers in open wheel and have tons of experience in SportsCar, it’ll be fun to watch them battle for wins” Chris Miller “I’m thrilled that we were able to put this together and think we have all the pieces to be able to contend for a championship. Luis has been a friend for many years and I’ve wanted to find a way to do a full-season with LAP ever since I raced a Mini with the team a few years ago. I’ve known Shelby as well and have always thought highly of him as a driver. It was great to work with him at the Roar and I know we will be a strong pair. I’ve done a good amount of racing in recent years but I actually haven’t done a full-season in anything since 2010, so it will be great to have a proper run at the championship. I can’t wait to get the season started in just a few days!” 2013 IMSA champ Mike LaMarra and Mat Pombo are back in their #73 car. The duo will start their third season together and are looking to continue to add to their trophy collection. Race Report: The Japanese Karting Championship 2020 Mobara Round : Ryota Horachi: FS-125 I learned a lot in the previous round and was determined to win in this round. However I didn’t have pace and struggled in free practice sessions. In qualifying practice, I failed to use a tow and ended up P12. My pace didn’t improve much in pre final and finished in P9, then moved up to P8 because one driver got penalized. I concentrated on the start of final and my pace was much better than qualifying, succeeded in moving up to the top group. Then the leader went far in front, so I was focusing to move up to the 2nd, but my race was suddenly over because the chain came off in the middle of the battle. The result was frustrating, but I’ll stay positive for the next round in Sugo. : Yuto Nomura: OK The contact in qualifying was very disappointing because I had the pace in round 3 to finish in a good position. So I tried to keep a positive mind for the rest of sessions. In round 4, I was able to finish the race in the best position among the DUNLOP users, feeling happy about accomplishing my minimal target. Thank you DUNLOP, EXGEL, my sponsors, team, mechanics, supporters and my family. The next round SUGO is the start of the latter half of the season. I will do my best to get on the podium. : Shunsuke Minagi: OK The results were quite disappointing because I won here at Mobara last year and had felt positive in the pre test. We were competitive enough against BRIDGESTONE and YOKOHAMA on Thursday and Friday, but the track condition suddenly changed in Saturday’s qualifying practice and couldn’t adjust the set-up. I should have stayed positive even though the situation was tough for me. Until the next round in SUGO, I will try to improve myself to maximize my capability whatever happens in a race week. The tires were clearly getting better after the season opener in Gotemba. Thank you everyone in DUNLOP for developing the tires as I desire. Now we know what we should do for further developments. Best result possible today was P2 ✌🏼 Happy with my performance being fastest M4 driver by 0.5 in Quali and then holding off the pack in the opening laps of the race to secure P2.
