“Storia di un matrimonio” è incentrato sulle vicende di una famiglia che si trova a dover affrontare un difficile divorzio e tutte le conseguenze che ne derivano: l’affidamento del piccolo figlio, la divisione dei beni e le enormi spese per le pratiche burocratiche. L’interpretazione dei protagonisti è molto buona, tanto da aver fatto guadagnare loro la tanto apprezzata nomination agli Oscar: più facile per Scarlett Johansson ambire alla statuetta piuttosto che al giovane Adam Driver che, nonostante la più che convincete performance, se la dovrà vedere con il favorito Joaquin Phoenix. È un film che scorre bene e non risulta troppo pesante nonostante il tema trattato, merito dei personaggi e della trama moderna e fresca ma anche della regia, che si arricchisce con l’utilizzo di qualche long take (tecnica cinematografica che consiste di un’inquadratura di lunga durata). This morning I got an email saying I was accepted into The Second City’s Conservatory program. For those that know me well, you will know how excited I am and how hard I worked for this. But this email means so much more than that. This last year has been very hard. I lost family, I almost lost friends, I watched those closest to me go through unimaginable struggles, I changed jobs 3 times, had my heart broken, auditioned a total of 3 times for this program and was denied and finally started seeing a therapist to battle my unhealthy relationship with food. BUT these last few months have been filled with the highest of highs. I started booking professional work, I got a side job at Second City (and I already got a promotion!!) where I get to watch my role models play and share their talent everyday, (I LITERALLY get paid to watch my dream job while building relationships with people who are already living it) I love everyone in that building and they have become family. I have excelled in another side job that brings me more joy than I ever would have thought possible, I saw myself on TV for the first time, I made some new best friends and I am co-writing and acting in my first sketch series. So, this acceptance means a lot more than getting into conservatory. It means I have grown as a person and through all of the struggles that knocked me down this year, I took a breath and got back up. Life can be hard, but its always worth fighting for. Thanks to all my friends and family who have kept close this past year. I need you and always will. ❤️ Oh yeah and one more thing. It took Tina Fey 5 times to get into this program. I did it in 4. Tobey Maguire has a rather young look to his face, and an even softer voice, all of which worked so well when he first became a star in movies like The Cider House Rules and the aforementioned Spider-Man franchise. As he got older, Maguire never quite aged out of his boyish charm, making it difficult for audiences to connect with him as he began to take on more mature roles. One neednt look further than Baz Luhrmanns remake of The Great Gatsby in 2013. He basically looked like he was playing a slightly older version of his character from The Cider House Rules. Ironically, its the exact same problem Maguires close friend and Great Gatsby co-star, Leonardo DiCaprio, managed to overcome in the late 00s by taking on grittier roles. Otra de las situaciones que había que recrear en el spot de #LaLiga era un universo que recordara al de la serie #MadMen... Esta ya venía marcada por guión y no había mucho que pensar... Dentro de las posibilidades, sólo había que decidir qué personajes recrear... Siendo el decorado en el que íbamos a rodar, una maravillosa versión de la oficina “real” de la serie, recreada increíblemente por Paloma, estaba claro. Por supuesto, #DonDraper, pero... #JoanHolloway o #PeggyOlson...? Creo que es más icónica Joan, pero la evolución del personaje de Peggy en la serie me parece fascinante... Lo que fue determinante, en este caso, fue el casting... Cuando @peter_dew me enseñó a sus favoritas, vi claramente que no nos costaría mucho convertir a @templada en una #ChistinaHendricks perfecta!! El vestido rojo de @peris.costumes le quedaba como un guante, y aunque había otras opciones, fue caballo ganador desde el minuto cero... Sólo había que trabajar un poco las interioridades para acercar el cuerpo de nuestra actriz a la característica voluptuosidad de Christina, pero eso ya se queda en el ámbito de la privacidad de la sastrería y el camerino... En el caso de Don, todo encajó también a la primera. El total look de #PerisCostumes le quedaba perfecto y acentuaba el parecido (que lo hay, y mucho), de @esteban.balbi con #JonHamm.
