With that in mind, SPS has decided to establish our own News Room - a repository of carefully-curated articles run by volunteers to help readers and professionals stay updated on current local news about psychology. Our News Room will primarily feature articles from our local news platforms, such as The Straits Times and CNA, and also international news that may affect Singapore. Samen met Trimotion hebben we onderzoek gedaan naar de ware identiteit van dit stadsdeel, wat ik mocht vertalen naar een mooi passend kleurenpalet, vormen die de ambitie van dit stadsdeel sieren en een beeldtaal die inspireert en prikkelend is. First: Vote 🗳 Over the last few months we have been honored to welcome a few of the most inspiring people in politics to @theassemblysf. Hearing directly from @ocasio2018 @kamalaharris @realkimberlye @londonbreed and others has been breathtaking, motivating. None of these people — who, yes, are all women — had a standard “path” to politics. They weren’t born into connections and legacies. They had moments, personal inflection points, and people surrounding them to help lift them. They are people who wanted to throw themselves into an incredibly challenging and demoralizing political climate and system to stand up for what they believe in. They haven’t and won’t win everything they run for, but the fact that they run will continue to change the narrative, inspire more people to run, spark conversations, show us that there isn’t one way a politician looks, talks, and acts. They are making the path and I thank them for that. Sometimes I get asked whether I’m worried about The Assembly being “too political” and my answer remains a no. Do most gyms or work spaces take a stance? No...and yet. Creating a space for women to embrace who they are and how they can help each other is inherently political. Taking care of yourself — body and mind and heart — is imperative to fighting the fights we need to fight. We want to build a place where we aren’t afraid to stand up for ourselves and for what we believe in. I am so grateful for all these women who believe that this country is worth fighting for. I am also so proud that all of these appearances were organized by Assembly members and executed by the best team in the business. Thank you and onward, because in the end that’s the only option. Your followers see something of value in you. And that is how you treat them? Why do I Juice? Well quite frankly, the health of it. My physical health, mental and all the other healing it brings me. I am always on the go and its important for me to eat throughout the day. It’s can be very easy to grab a juice for when I am bouncing around with work. I also have Crohn’s, which is a condition that is a damaged lining of my digestive tract. Drinking juice gives my system a break, a break from having to digest foods that I consume. This break time gives my body the ability and time to heal my digestive tract which leads to lesser inflammation within that region of the body. Drinking juice makes me feel lighter. I move faster because of the energy saved from not having to digest foods. My mind is more clear and I can tackle my day to day projects at work. When I drink juice its like pressing a beast mode button. Brand photography found me. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ☀️⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I had been a wedding photographer for a long time and started to have feelings of burn out and missing family moments on nights and weekends. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 😔⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I didnt know how to pivot my photography to something that fit my life better... until I started shooting commercial brand photography for a few friends. Who knew creating a digital course is a very tiring and time consuming feat!? 😅 (raise your hand in the comment!) It’s like I’m on a marathon. 🏃🏽♀️ And right now I’m on the last 5 miles before the finish line and everything is on fire—thirsty...I need water—kind of feeling. 🥵 But it’s all worth it when I reach the finish line! 🎉 Because you will get a chance to enroll in a website planning course where all your current website “ailments” will be cured. (No joke!) I started my website planning course building “marathon” in late March as a result of wanting to cater to a valid need in the current market: People who DIY their websites ended up with websites that are failing miserably—meaning it’s not able to attract, capture and convert cold visitors into happy paying customers. (If they can EVEN find the website in searches!) So why is that happening? 🤔 Shouldn’t your website platform (Wix, WordPress, Squarespace,etc.) provide you with a template that you can just edit and it will all be okay? It’s not that easy huh...? Because your website ended up becoming one big annoying headache 🤕. And you might be cluelessly on how to fix it. (Spending thousands to hire someone to fix it is really not an option for most right now). What to do? 😩 If you’re an online entrepreneur or a small business owner providing pro services, you need your website to be able to “sell” in order for your business to grow, am I right? Friends... I will answer all of these questions on my next post. Trusting my gut, following my passions & getting out of my own way...three things I’m working on and three of my toughest challenges. I discovered recently that I am a people pleaser to the max. That’s why I got into a client based business...that’s why I theoretically want to tell people’s stories...to make the viewers and the subjects happy. But lost somewhere among my good intentions is a perpetually unsatisfied need: to control people’s perception of me and to ultimately be liked. So what does this have to do with my business? Everything and nothing...Even though I just started I feel like I have already gone down a path that may not end in the place I ultimately want to be. So this is all to say that I am going to switch gears a little bit and work on some “me” stuff. I’m going to be busy...but it may not result in immediate pay off and that’s okay. I’m going to keep my client list small and start working on projects that make me sweat with excitement. I’ll keep it purposely vague for now.
