I have known this man for fifteen years. We met on a short film I wrote and produced and he auditioned for. I didn’t want to cast him because he wasn’t ‘diverse enough’ but fortunately his acting was so good that my director convinced me that he was the right choice. And so last night we celebrated for no good reason, the last fifteen years. The crazy, beautiful, wild lives we have manifested together. I got really lucky having met Juan and to have created a partnership with him in this life. To get to raise our little monster angles together. To get to watch each other blossom into the people we are becoming. To get to witness each other fail and fall. And to get to cheer each other on as we get back up. I love him and always will.
