This is what this morning looks like - and that’s okay. 🦋Yesterday was not a good day, physically or mentally. It’s truly difficult to fully explain the extent crohn’s has on all aspects of life, when barely comprehensible to yourself. The internal mental and emotional stressors of yesterday’s events has turned physically outwards. TMI- but last night consisted of no sleep, anger, sadness, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, headaches, sweats, shakes, chills and cramping; to put it simply so so much pain. This morning I’ve done one thing, and this was my heart rate (swipe). I feel weak. I’ve had to call in sick to work this morning, which I hate doing. I hate feeling like I’ve let people down. But right now I need to put my health first. This is what an active flare looks like. Dann lieg ich auf der Couch und Frauchen will dann unbedingt immer vor die Tür... du Frauchen, kein Ding quäl dich nicht ich kann auch wieder hinters Bett kacken... na gut weil Frauchen unbedingt will und es ja dann doch echt übel in meinem Haus riecht, geh ich mit ihr halt ne Runde raus. Danach reicht sie mir das Futter. Hey du, da fehlt nen Blatt Petersilie. Nein nicht weg nehmen ich fress ja schon... Wenn sie sich dann aber ihr Futter macht... tja sorry aber das ist dann nicht mehr drin... selbstverpflegung?! wo sind wir denn hier? Frauchen frühstückt auch immer voll spät. Hat sie halt Pech gehabt... iss gefälligst dann wenn ich es dulde... mhhhh, aggressives buddeln an der Tür zum Badezimmer stört dich wohl, Frauchen... ohhhhh, tut mir leid... warte ich mach weiter... Total entnervt geht sie dann endlich mit mir ne große Runde raus in den Wald.... da treffen wir dann auch ab und zu meine tollen Freunde. Ich sag dann immer: „Sitz Frauchen, warte bis ich fertig bin“. Ich muss sagen sie hört schon echt gut... nur manchmal läuft sie einfach weiter. Dann muss ich sie immer wieder einfangen. Voll nervig, eye. Man man man, echt nicht so einfach so ein Frauchen. Zuhause angekommen gibts Portion Nummer zwei und die ist immer richtig groß. Freunde ich sag’s euch, it‘s bobbylicious. The last 8 hours have been horrible. This morning at 3:00am Edward had a seizure. We rushed him to the vet and did some testing, everything came back clean. However, the vet believes that due to his age, it could be a brain tumor (an MRI will tell us with certainty) The next 24 hours are crucial, to ensure he doesn’t have cluster seizures. He’s a home right now, we’re just monitoring him. My heart hurts. 💔 I feel so helpless, but I know we’re doing everything that we can possibly do and make him as comfortable as possible while making the most of each and every moment we have with him. As much as I saved him from an abussive home, from people who kept him in a small kennel, fed him 1 cup of food a day (his weight requires 8cups/day), had skin conditions that gave him balding spots... I know that we found each other and in many ways he saved me too. After loosing Maximus I was shattered in a way I still can’t fully describe, and when I found Ares my world felt complete again. He brought back so much of Maximus and more. And I don’t care how big he is I will always let him curl up in my lap and get all the loves that he wants. As many of you remember, at beginning of the year we took in 29 dogs dogs from Louisiana and many of which were heart worm positive. Fortunately, after receiving initial treatment, all of our heart worm positive pups found loving foster to adopt homes. Well, we are happy to announce that we have started retesting and as of today Mila, Yara, Joseph and Letty are the first four of our Louisiana 29 that heart worm FREE and have officially been ADOPTED! 🥳❤️🐾 We will retesting and even re treating if necessary until all of our heart worm positive pups are negative and can be adopted❤️ - @pawworks on Instagram

Its a painful process recovering from 4 surgeries!.. I know if I had all that done..i would be like dope me up untill there is no PAIN!.. 🎊 Happy Tails 🎊 Todays Happy Tail is about Marley! Here is what his family has to say, We adopted Marley in November 2016. He was 11 months and his previous owner got rid of him due to having a baby and Marley was hyper. When we first adopted Marley, he was very hyper (but obviously still a puppy). We decided to get a dog trainer after a few months as he had never been taught some basic commands. I’ll be honest, it was a rough start as he was very hyper and we had some concerns with our kids. After the advice of our trainer on some items, we worked with him quite a bit and he’s an amazing dog! He follows his Mom around everywhere and adores our two girls (age 9 and 10 now). We could not imagine our lives without our little buddy! We are so happy that Marleys family took the time to teach him how to be a great dog. ❤️ All Marley needed was some patience and training. Thank you everyone for all of the well wishes, positive vibes, care, and concern. Today’s oncology consult wasn’t filled with answers but medicine isn’t always an exact science. We think we’re dealing with metastatic carcinoma of unknown primary. Don’t google it. We’re discussing a CT scan to try and know more but that will depend on Marge’s condition the next few days. Anesthesia is always a risk for smushy faces but even worse with the swelling we’re dealing with. Changed up some meds and discussing a chemo plan now. It’s been an awesome 13 months but not nearly long enough. Without being able to nail down a diagnosis we don’t know the prognosis so we’ll be living every day to the fullest... even if that mostly means naps and snacks. ❤️ - @largemargedoingthings on Instagram

For us, there is nothing better than a rescued sato sleeping safely and peacefully, far away from the streets of Puerto Rico. We are excited to share that this dream for Troji has finally come true. She has officially found her forever family! She didn’t have a family lined up yet when she landed on her Freedom Flight on August 29th, so she went to a foster home instead. But it didn’t take long for her new parents to find her. They had been looking to adopt a friend for their other dog, Lucy. When Troji and Lucy first met, they immediately got along so well that the deal was sealed. It has taken Troji a little while to get fully adjusted to her new home, but her parents are giving her all the time she needs and say they are already so proud of her progress so far. They are completely in love with her goofy personality, comedic antics, and with how much her and Lucy completely adore each other. It is almost as if they were meant to be sisters. Troji has been renamed ‘Eliza’ after Eliza Hamilton and we are so excited to see her embrace her new identity as a beloved family member. El primer día fue especialmente duro y tuve que dormir en la habitación con ellos, los dos días siguientes en el pasillo y ahora ya llevo dos días que logró dormir en la cocina pero muy pegada a la puerta del pasillo, siempre con puertas abiertas porque sino me da ansiedad, ellos me vigilan con la cámara que compraron para el mini humano que aún no llega a casa, todavía no me siento agusto quedándome sola en casa así que ellos no han salido sin mí, y estamos trabajando con un adiestrador @bairesdogs que nos está ayudando para que yo pueda en algún momento quedarme sola en casa cómo cuando estaba Popy. Mandenme buenas vibras. P.D. Me compraron una cama nueva que esta muy cómoda . . Many friends have been asking about me these days, I tell them that my humans have been very close to me to help me understand this new stage of my life without Popy. The first day was especially hard and I had to sleep in the room with them, the next two days in the corridor and now it has been two days since he managed to sleep in the kitchen but very close to the corridor door, always with the doors open because otherwise It gives me anxiety, they watch me with the camera they bought for the mini human who still hasnt come home, I still dont feel comfortable staying home alone so they havent left without me, and were working with a trainer @bairesdogs who is helping us so that at some point I can stay home alone like when Popy was.
