With every admission of our truths, we are drawing NEARER to God ~ we are meeting God in Gethsemane. If God is truth , then He must work in truths . if we work In half truths ~ ashamed of our own truths ~ God cannot redeem. Does that make sense ? In John 8:32 we learn: “and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free.” The truth brings us to LOVE. This is what my dad shared tonight (I added the love part🤓) after he came home from his weekly service as a missionary in the 12 step addiction recovery program. He is obsessed with what he has learned and continues to learn & im so grateful for his incredible example & insight. ❤️ go Jesus . Go dad. Go YOU. Cool how our love of God then fills us with a love for God’s children. AND TBH~ lately I’ve been more aware of an area in my life that has perpetuated certain habits of behavior that have caused other people pain (VAGUE !? Day 9 I wasnt going to post about this experience but I have been grateful for those who have spoken about their experience on hormones either viewing through youtube, group therapy etc. Not only for their emotional support, but for very practical understanding of how they react to the medication. So figured it I should/will post on this every once in a while to provide those who are figuring this out for themselves or just want to learn. I have been on hormone medication now for 9 days, which is two separate medications, a testerone blocker and estrogen. The blocker is a pill taken twice a day and the estrogen as a patch a small piece of plastic either on my booty or stomach and switched out every 7 days. Some people take this as a shot or pill, but as advised from my dr the patch is the safest and most regulated method of receiving it. While the shifts I feel at this time are minor or in my head if they are actual things, the main thing I notice is the side effect for the blocker, which is a diuretic and so I have to drink much more water and pee much more. Trans people need to pee more which makes this public restroom debate for trans people even more fucked up. I have to watch to make sure I am getting enough liquid and notice my muscles will be sore often. Also I was due to the elevation of potassium to monitor the levels, this I will get a better sense of next time blood work to see how the meds are affecting. I also feel super low energy and light headaches for the first few days, still do at times so work is going a tad slower. Mentally feel excited, anxious, overwhelmed, adjusting processes for me and how this feels. Not really a medication person in general so the whole thing is an interesting experience. This whole process the past year feels like one rabbit hole after another. For those of you who do not identify as tran/non-binary just a few reminders, those who choose to not/cant take hormone medication are no lesser in their perferred gender than those who do. I chose this decision for myself but if I didnt or choose to stop taking the medication for whatever reason that doesnt affect how I see myself.
