As my trip to the western ghats continues, here is my next post about the never seen beauty of Kudremukha. This was captured on the 4th day of my trip. . The hills clearly make us believe that these are the wonderous handicraft of The Nature. Every mountain has magical colors. Always nature is awesome, which gives us peace anytime. As we climbed uphill there was the peak amidst the waving clouds passing nearby us.. Wowww it was mesmerizing. . Wow that was an amazing feeling which I ever experienced. Thank God I was getting the whole view. It seemed that my soul and the nature mixed together adding to yet another beautiful day of my trek. . 👉Things to note Please Leave your foot prints. Don’t throw plastics. Don’t disturb the habitation. Don’t blow horn, while animals crossing. Don’t do things which makes forest fire. “We need transformative landscapes that really burst open the patterns of life that we are experiencing now.” In this weekend’s @nytimes, Kate speaks with author James Russell about the future of public landscapes. Specifically, the large, connective landscapes Kate discusses include the #HudsonHighlandsFjordTrail (Slide 1) and the #ChattahoocheeRiverLands (Slide 3)—two projects that knit communities together at a regional scale. In the Metro Atlanta region, the RiverLands vision proposes a 125 mile network of greenways and blueways along the Chattahoochee River, linking together 19 cities over 7 counties and encompassing a potential user base of nearly a million residents within minutes of the trail. In the Hudson Valley, the Fjord Trail proposes a 7.5 mile linear park connecting Beacon and Cold Spring, NY and creating a choreographed experience of the forests, marshes, highlands and shoreline of the Hudson River. Also discussed are three collaborations with @marblefairbanks: the Greenpoint Library and Environmental Education Center in North Brooklyn, which is nearing completion (Slide 5); the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture in Harlem; and the Glen Oaks Library in Queens. The Sand family couldnt have scripted a more fortuitous turn of events. Many months ago when I first birthed the idea of taking the family band on an educational music tour of Europe I put out a vague call to my music program students, both in Philadelphia and online, to ask if anyone out there had any connections to anyone anywhere in Europe who may be able to plan any kind of concert or host us in any way. (Vague.) The very first response came from Sarah, whose family had enjoyed my online lessons while she was homeschooling in the US. She had since moved with her family to her Dutch husbands ancestral hometown of Orvelte, a museum village in the Netherlands, a tiny town tourists visit to step back into Dutch farm town life several centuries past. She invited us to stay with her on our travels. Score! But thats not the real twist. After making plans to visit this nether region of the Netherlands, Sarah learned that SIVO, an international dance and music festival that had been taking place elsewhere in the Netherlands for thirty years, would be planting itself in Orvelte this summer. Sarah told the organizers that a band performing world music for families was already planning to come, and together we agreed that the All Around This World band would headline their childrens activity area. Over the next few days Ill be posting photos from this inspirational international festival. It’s no secret we’ve all had to shift our expectations for this year. Right now, we were supposed to be exploring Europe crossing off some serious bucket list locations. So earlier this summer, we decided to pack up the pups and explore some places closer to home. In lieu of our original plan, we drove to the mountains and then the beach to make some different memories. This may not be the year we wanted or planned for, but that doesn’t mean there still isn’t joy to be had. 主婦と生活社@ryourinohonさんから始まった、私の好きな料理本リレー。 見かけはちょっと怖いけど、とっても優しいカメラマン海老原俊之@ebipapaさんからバトンを受け取りました。 私のオススメは 「スチームフード」 長尾智子+福田里香 著 柴田書店 刊 蒸すってすばらしい！と教えてくれた最初の本。 まずは、食べたい野菜を蒸す。その間にもう一品作る。蒸かごの良い匂いも加わって美味しくなるんです！ 中華鍋に蒸し籠のせてやっていましたが、何度か空焚きになってしまい、ついに壊れ、しばらくやっていませんでしたが、この機会にまた蒸し籠生活始めたくなり、すてきな蒸し籠探し中です。 「おばあちゃんのお茶請け」 吉田文子 著 川辺書林 刊 町で見つけたフォトジェニックなおじいちゃん、おばあちゃんを撮影させてもらい、若かった頃のお話をまとめる連載をしていました。100人近くの方と出会い、なかにはお宅におじゃまし、手づくりのお茶請けをいただくことも。山梨県棡原の旅館のおばあちゃんのお茶請けは、大根とじゃがいもを水と醤油とミリンで炊いたもの。シンプルなのにとっても美味しく、うちでも何度も作りました。この本は古書店おなかすいた でみつけ、迷わず購入！たくさんとれた畑の野菜を使いこなすのに活躍中です。 ほどよい不便がいちばん幸せ 二部治身 著 小学館 刊 こちらは手前味噌。 挿花家 二部治身さんのスローライフの本。 世の中がどんなに便利になっても、食べることだけはひと手間をかけてほしい、食べることは命を支えることだからこそ、手間を惜しまんで欲しい、ほどよい不便がいいんとちゃう？と治身さん。 料理だけではなく色々な生活のヒントになるようなことが紹介されています。初めてご自宅に伺った時に、赤い実のシロップ漬けをソーダで割ったものに、白と黄色のスイカズラのお花（金銀花）を浮かべてくれました。香りが良く、なんとも幸せにな気分になりました。 ちょっとひと手間っていいですね〜。 私からは友人でOrganicCooking LandFieldの#島田典子さん@norilko.s 元編集者で今は小樽あまとう洋菓子店のネンディ柴田こと柴田剛さん@chaitian.gang にバトンをお渡しします。#料理本リレー #二部治身 - @harebar on Instagram
