Anyone here who knows me even a lil’ bit, knows that Tweed and I kinda have this thing. It’s a love thing. I can’t even try to deny it. . In my personal opinion, any time is a good time for Tweed, but especially the Fall 🍂 . One of my all time best selling colorways is the Silver Breasted Broadbill. The combination of black, bronze, terra-cotta, and silver with pops of lavender and soft blue looks stunning on everyone! ⠀ ⠀ Seen here in black this series comes in a few color options including: silver, soft bronze, and navy. ⠀ ⠀ This limited collection has helped me gain confidents at mixing neutrals with small pops of color. The hook - this is my first time using the Knitters Pride Ginger Interchangeable Tunisian Crochet Hook and while it took me a few rows to get used to it, it is one of the most comfortable hooks I have used for Tunisian crochet. 3. I’m deep in prepping for both @lambtownfestival and the @indieuntangled Indie Untangled Everywhere show which means it’s suddenly feeling like fall. Ive been on a sock knitting kick lately. Which if you know me well, you know Ive previously said things such as I hate knitting socks and whats the point. 😅 Listen, people change! I stopped fighting my design/work knitting block thats been going on these past few months and instead embraced it with small meditative projects from other designers patterns, like these lovely socks. Comforting projects that I dont have to think about have been just what I’ve needed. I can sit with my thoughts and process whats going on in our world and at home. I can think about what I need to change in my own life to be a better ally to the Black community, and what I need to work on to help raise an anti-racist daughter. Weve been starting at home with small actionable steps, like monthly donations and diversifying my kiddos library and consciously talking about racism. I know these are small steps, but I also know these are steps we can maintain while we continue listening and learning. Anyways, thats what I have been up to. I hope youve been doing well! ❤️ . Taking on a new test knit ⤵️ I’m working on two test knits right now, and am particularly excited for the release of this one! This is the Ursina sweater by @jacquelinecieslak, a Sport (& Worsted!) weight version of her very popular Ursa sweater. This is the cropped version knit up in Cat’s Eye on Merino Sport in size one, which fits me with minimal ease. Modeled photos to come! I kind of want to make a second one in a larger size, maybe full length instead of cropped, with BFL Sport. What do you think? More importantly, which colour should I do it in?? Today my dear friend Tabitha @hooks.and.hookery published this fun pattern for you to make up in your favourite super bulky weight yarn in several different sizes-I love options when I’m looking for a new pattern! Are y’all ready for the new additions to the Haunted Mansion collection? This is Constance Hatchaway, named for the bride in the attic scene from the attraction! Her wedding dress is lit with an ethereal misty blue, so I pulled a few different shades and paired it with a light cream and the bright ghostly green featured in most of my HM colorways. A bright magenta splatter of speckles is the finishing touch on this colorway and reminds me of the glow of her beating heart against the dusky shadows in the attic scene. This is the first of 4 new Haunted Mansion colorways (and 2 returning favorites) coming to the shop this Friday 10/2 @ 5PM CT.
