Father’s Day I believe all my days with you were your day. At first some of those days were beach days. Then they were arcade days. Days when you took all your children Disneyland. Days when we went to the library. Days when you made your house into a blockbuster. On school days you taught me knowledge is power. In my childhood and adulthood, it was the days that I learned from you that were more my days. Those were days that you were passing along what kind of person and woman I could become. On these days I smiled at not only my potential, but yours and our families. See everyday you prepared me to live in this crazy world with positivity and love.. Its hard to hold onto those two while there are black children who weren’t given as many days as I was. But had a dad to share their days with. Days on their fathers shoulders, nights to lay on your belly before sleep. Moments that you didn’t missed. Moments that they missed. Birthdays. Christmas. 4th of July BBQs. Those too were black fathers, Americans, who celebrated their life, duty, and independence holding their children close. If you were here we could talk about the list of names of fathers lost. What it means you could help me keep my eyes on the prize... You know I cannot ignore everything I see you would remind me that I am a great lover and greater fighter. But sometimes, it is better to do nothing but focus on the better days that have yet to come. On the heavy days, you taught me to take care of myself, but its hard because I see myself in many people. I see I am daughter of many daughters. I am sister to siblings I can’t sister. I often wonder am I nothing, but a reflection of you. A mirror with a curved lens of a camera. A camera that was used to capture the happiest moments on your days. Now shelved. I wear away.I don’t see the big picture. I do not see the new horizon nor have the urge to capture it. I see I am your little face that I have your smile, hands, feet, and walk as confident as you do. Even though you taught to be proud of this and myself. - Seeing how my daughters post gave me so much comfort, I present to you my dad. My daughter died in May, ha was diagnosed in November the same year. He died of NE Cancer in just four months. Its been only two months. I miss him. This is the last image I took of him, six days before he passed.

This mans do be looking a lot like this recently 😂 (Max is the one on the left) However I won’t have to point that out anymore because it’ll be super easy for everyone to tell us apart now, just look for the one with the appendix still in tact and you know it’s me. In all seriousness though this boi has been in a lot of pain over the last few days and we’re so grateful that we caught it when we did because obviously we initially thought it was food poisoning which just was not the case at all. And to clear up his recent Instagram post, he is not in hospital because of drugs. He was referencing the drugs that he was put on for the operation, but in the state that he’s in he clearly forgot to make that clearer 😂 Just wanted to thank everyone for all the nice messages you’ve been sending him, and I’m sure he’s making his way through them now in his sleepy state 😂 Go send him more love because it will do wonders on his ego. This is Pietro. Yesterday we had to make the hard decision to put him to sleep. He was only four years old but within those four years he was the cuddliest, most loving animal I have ever the pleasure of raising and loving. He loved wrestling with his big brother Teddy Beans. Pietro loved to curl up with you and purr the loudest purr in the world. He was easily spooked when he’s awake and loved to race around the house at full speed. He loved to beg for treats and food every time you were in the kitchen. He had the most ugliest meow a cat should ever have and it was what made him even more absolutely lovable. He would always get on his hind legs and push his head on to your hand to force you to pet and love him when you were standing idle or sitting with your arms to the sides. I miss you and I love you Pietro buddy. You were our baby and we will love you until the end of time. Thank you for the privilege of getting to raise such a wonderful, and loving cat.
