Today were sharing one final taste of Tautology before the full triple LP is released into the world. Shimmered is out everywhere now. Last chance to pre-order the Ultra Clear 3xLP (very ltd. amount remaining!) & 3xCD at the link in bio. If you listen closely, youll notice that Shimmered is an extension of Shimmer from Tautology II and features the same slide melody. These songs represent middle and old age in the same way as the full records themselves. The nasty chords come in around 2:32, then resolve themselves into the uplifting chords, which is a representation of something Ive noticed in my 85-year old dad. He doesnt really get in bad moods any longer and seems to always be sort of chipper. Hes got health problems, but his temper has disappeared. I have some exciting news folks! Today my sister @lizeoconnor and I launch our digital gallery and art consultancy @oclfineart - Our first exhibition is comprised of 25 major works by award winning contemporary artist Steve Lyons and is now on show via our digital viewing rooms - @oclfineart was an idea that hummed eagerly in the background for a number of years - throughout my agency career as CD of @future.fantastic and through helping friends and family select art for their homes. The idea grew into something tangible throughout a lockdown unprecedented in our lifetime. The time and space provided me the opportunity to reconnect and rediscover art in all forms - whether creating it through @tomoconnorstudio or consuming it more intentionally. It feels like art is the one commodity that can’t be locked down. - Eliza and I are so excited to partner with the team at @gocampaign who do incredible work with vulnerable children.
