La cosiddetta torre dei Ventimiglia è unantica torre feudale in stile tardo gotico, oggi campanile della adiacente chiesa madre di San Nicolò, edificata nella prima metà del XIV secolo sotto la signoria dei Conti di Geraci. Solo tra il XVI e il XVII secolo venne inglobata dalledificio religioso. Appartenne tra letà medievale e quella moderna anche ai cavalieri di Malta. La torre si eleva su due piani, più un terzo aggiunto in epoca ottocentesca. Dargah Hazrat Makhdoom Jahaniyan Jahangasht,Uch Sharif, Pakistan #KnowOurSufis #Sufinama #Sufism #Tasawwuf #SufiHeritage #CompositeCulture मख़दूम जहानियाँ सय्यद जलाल उद्दीन जहाँगश्त बुख़ारी का अस्ल नाम हुसैन था। पाकिस्तान के उच इलाक़ा में 707 हिज्री मुताबिक़ 1307 ईसवी में शब-ए-बरात की रात में पैदा हुए । ये हज़रत जलालउद्दीन सुर्ख़ पोश बुख़ारी के पोते और सय्यद अहमद कबीर के साहिब-ज़ादे थे। मख़दूम जहानियाँ ने कुछ अ’र्सा दिल्ली में हज़रत शैख़ नसीरुद्दीन चिराग़ दिल्ली की ख़िदमत में भी गुज़ारा और उनकी निगरानी में मनाज़िल-ए-सुलूक तय किए। हज़रत मख़दूम के दिल्ली आने का ग़रज़ बादशाह-ए-वक़्त से मिलने का होता था और इस वसीले से वो हज़रत शैख़ नसीरुद्दीन चिराग़ दिल्ली से मुलाक़ात का शरफ़ भी हासिल कर लेते और उनकी मजालिस की ज़ीनत भी बनते थे। सुल्तान फ़िरोज़ शाह तुग़लक़ को मख़दूम जहानियां से बहुत अ’क़ीदत थी जब ये दिल्ली का रुख़ करते तो सुल्तान फ़िरोज़ शाह उनके हालात-ए-सफ़र का जायज़ा अपने दरबारियों से लेते रहते और जब आप दिल्ली पहुंचने वाले होते तो सुल्तान फ़िरोज़ शाह अपने लश्कर के साथ शहर से बाहर निकल कर उनका इस्तिक़बाल करता और बड़ी इज़्ज़त और अ’क़ीदत के साथ उन्हें शहर में लाता। मख़दूम साहिब सात से दस दिन के वक़्फ़े से सुल्तान से मिलने जाते; रास्ते में ज़रूरत-मंद अपनी अ’र्ज़ीयां उनके पालकी में डाल देते और ये बादशाह से मुलाक़ात के वक़्त सलाम-ओ-दुआ’ के बा’द सबसे पहले तमाम अ’र्ज़ियाँ बादशाह के सामने रख देते और जब तक सारे अ’र्ज़ियों के जाइज़ मुतालबात पूरे ना हो जाते मख़दूम जहानियाँ सुल्तान से मुलाक़ात की कोई ग़रज़ पेश ना करते। शाही ख़ानदान से उनके गहरे मरासिम थे और हर एक छोटे बड़े, उमरा वुज़रा और शहज़ादे उनकी ता’ज़ीम बजा लाते थे। एक रोज़ शहज़ादा महमूद ख़ान मख़दूम जहानियाँ की ख़िदमत में हाज़िर हुआ तो उन्होंने उसे टोपी पहनाई और कुछ तबर्रुक दिया और रुख़्सती के वक़्त फ़रमाया कि सुल्तान को उनका सलाम पहुंचाए। दो रोज़ बा’द शहज़ादा ज़फ़र ख़ान, उनका बेटा, शहज़ादा तुग़लक़ शाह और चंद अराकीन-ए-सल्तनत सुल्तान का पैग़ाम लेकर मख़दूम जहानियाँ की ख़िदमत में हाज़िर हुए और उनसे ये इल्तिजा की कि सुल्तान की ये ख़्वाहिश है कि जनाब शाही महल में तशरीफ़ फ़रमाएँ। मख़दूम जहानियाँ उसी वक़्त उनके साथ चलने को तैयार हो गए। शहज़ादा तुग़लक़ शाह ने उनका हाथ पकड़ कर उनको पालकी में सवार किया और शाही महल में लाए। क़ियाम के दौरान एक दिन सुल्तान फ़िरोज़ शाह का पोता शहज़ादा मुबारक ख़ान मख़दूम जहानियाँ की ख़िदमत में हाज़ - @sufinama on Instagram

Fu rafforzato dagli Aragonesi nel XV secolo ed infine rimaneggiato dai Pignatelli tra il XVI-XVII sec, perdendo quasi del tutto la funzione militare e assumendo invece quella di abitazione nobiliare. Il secondo piano fu demolito di proposito, in quanto pericolante, a causa dei danni riportati dopo il terremoto del 1783. Il castello presenta oggi delle torri cilindriche, una torre speronata ed una porta ad unarcata di epoca angioina. There are thousands of artisans working in textiles across Afghanistan, but two of the most popular crafts in the region of Bamiyan are barak and namad. Namad is a non-woven textile produced by repeatedly pressing and rolling tufts of sheep wool soaked in hot water. Barak is made by weaving lambswool on a simple ground loom, then pressing the fabric in a large pot filled with hot water. Both traditions are deeply rooted in the communities of shepherds living and working across the high-altitude valleys of the Bamiyan region. La murazione aragonese di Napoli fu iniziata nel giugno 1484, sotto il regno di Ferrante. Essa andava a sostituire lobsoleta cortina angioina, con una struttura più rispondente alle nuove esigenze difensive, derivanti dallintroduzione delle artiglierie. Lo sviluppo della nuova fortificazione, a delimitazione del lato orientale della Capitale, fu di circa due chilometri e comprese venti poderosi torrioni di forma cilindrica scarpati alla base comprese quattro porte. Ciascuna torre era completamente piena, in modo da poter offrire la massima resistenza passiva al tiro delle bombarde dassedio. Le artiglierie difensive erano concentrate esclusivamente sul livello di copertura. La murazione sul lato orientale della città di Napoli assume un preciso riferimento storico urbanistico inquadrabile in una visione ampia ed unitaria di riordino di un tessuto edilizio antichissimo pervenuto agli aragonesi e che peraltro scaturisce anche dalla diretta necessità di includere nel nuovo tracciato l’espansione urbana sviluppatasi oltre le mura medievali. Nel corso del XVI secolo, in epoca vicereale, la murazione sul lato orientale sopravvisse intatta al rinnovamento prodottosi sotto Pedro di Toledo, che portò alla realizzazione di una moderna cinta bastionata a delimitazione della città. Rhodes Acropolis The Rhodes Acropolis dominated the western and highest part of the city. It was not fortified, unlike most ancient Acropoleis. It consisted of a monumental zone with sanctuaries, large temples, public buildings and underground cult places. The buildings were built on stepped terraces supported by strong retaining walls. It was full of fields and groves, in the words of the 2nd c. AD orator Ailios Aristides. The style of the Hellenistic architecture on the Acropolis of Rhodes was perfectly conveyed by the combination of natural beauty and artificial transformations. Allí, en el tímpano, veréis una enorme serpiente que algunos confunden con un dragón, y es normal. ¿sabéis por qué? Esther López Sobrado en el libro “Románico de las Merindades” nos lo explica así: El dragón es otro de los animales más conocidos de la mitología. Es común a diversas culturas de todo el mundo, pero nos interesa especialmente su representación y significado en el mundo clásico. Del griego DRAKON significa víbora o serpiente, de ahí que con frecuencia le veamos representado como una culebra de tamaño desmesurado, como en el tímpano de Puentedey. En el mundo romano el dragón era considerado un símbolo de sabiduría y poder. El cristianismo, sin embargo, le carga de un nuevo contenido, negativo, de pecado. El dragón, tanto en el apocalipsis como cuando aparece unido a algún santo, siempre situado a sus pies, representa el mal, el demonio, de ahí que, también con frecuencia, aparece representado en una lucha, en la que siempre es vencido por el bien, como representación de Cristo. Baños árabes de Ronda. “Situados en la zona de la antigua judería, y construidos entre los siglos XIII y XIV, a pesar de su extraordinario interés arquitectónico fueron abandonados (la moral cristiana no permitía ciertas prácticas), y las crecidas del río Guadalevín acabaron sepultándolos. Al encargar la Duquesa de Parcent la construcción de unos jardines en esta zona, aparecieron sus primeros restos, aunque se obviaron hasta que en 1935 el yacimiento fue adquirido por el Estado. Las excavaciones realizadas hasta ahora han permitido rescatar las tres salas de baño (fría, templada y caliente) y las cubiertas con bóvedas de cañón (horadadas por tragaluces en forma de estrella), que se comunican por arcos de medio punto. Se conservan parte de las calderas y de los sistemas de conducción de agua. Сегодня наш маршрут будет от Яффских ворот до Стены Плача👣 3000 лет за два часа ⠀ Старый город хранит в себе 3000 лет истории, с которой можно познакомиться на двухчасовой экскурсии на иврите, английском и русском. Пешеходный маршрут начинается у Яффских ворот, откуда вы попадаете в древние рыночные переулки со множеством красочных лавок. ⠀ По дороге вы проходите возле хостела Цитадель со смотровой площадкой, откуда открывается вид на все четыре квартала Старого города. Маршрут продолжается по живописным каменным переулкам Еврейского квартала до широкой стены, построенной царем Езекией 2700 лет назад и до византийского Кардо - главной улицы Иерусалима около 2000 лет назад, которая недавно была украшена прекрасной мозаикой. ⠀ Далее, через скрытый вход мы заглянем в подвал еврейского дома, который сохранился еще со времен Второго Храма. Оттуда мы продолжаем осмотром синагоги Хурва, которую разрушали и восстанавливали несколько раз. Ее молитвенный зал - один из самых красивых и впечатляющих в стране, чьей изюминкой является круглый купол, окруженный высоким балконом, с которого открывается захватывающий панорамный вид Старого и Нового города, простирающегося до пустыни и Мертвого моря. Экскурсия продолжается по переулкам Еврейского квартала до синагоги Тиферет Исраэль - одной из самых великолепных и уникальных в мире. Двигаясь дальше, мы попадаем в бывший некогда роскошный квартал, где проживала еврейская знать периода Второго Храма.
