Hi. I would like to share something very personal with you all, in wake of everything happening with COVID-19. I have not shared this story with anyone other than my family, b̶o̶y̶f̶r̶i̶e̶n̶d̶, and some close friends. Last year was one of most difficult years of my existence. I was left hospitalized, due to neurological disorder that essentially caused me to lose function of my entire body, after suffering from a mini stroke. I almost died. The psychological effects of going through that, plus more context I’ll spare you, left me in isolation for majority of the year of 2019. I rarely saw friends, or family. As we are now practicing social distancing, last week, I was with my doctor to plan my next treatment. Getting me back out in world to socialize, have fun, feel good, be happy. Experience more. You see my fun travel pictures on here, but those were almost the only times I left my house. They were some of the only moments that I was able to enjoy, as my life felt like I was falling apart. It isn’t as glamorous as it always looks. This hasn’t been easy. I’m here to tell you there IS light at end of tunnel. I have been recovering, and gained back my body functioning, aside from other symptoms I’m still experiencing. Have faith. Trust. Be smart. Have empathy. Choose to change your mindset, and stay safe. If you don’t believe in God, tonight say a prayer to the universe, or perhaps another form of higher power you do believe in. We are technically aliens living in a space galaxy after all. Muchas veces me dijeron que por ser hombre no lo lograría, pero hace dos días logré concluir algo que veía imposible en mi vida. Esto no es final ni un máximo, esto es apenas el comienzo de una gran historia juntos.
