I had to write this. Because waking up every morning to the news of girls getting raped is just so hurtful. I think everyone has been now accustomed to that by now. People share that in their stories maybe for a week then they go back to their flowery cupcakey life. Opening social media I came across the shit thats happening in Moscow. Women are the only ones who can create new life . The rapist also has a mother, sister, daughter . So how can they touch a girl disrespectfully and also without consent?. Consent is a must . Most of the people should be made aware of CONSENT . Consent is not determined by the clothes a person wears. If she wants to wear a short skirt its her body ,her rights, she can do anything with it. It doesnt mean that she wants unwanted attention from perverted people. Sometimes I think all the alarming number of rape cases would have been less only if sex education was given to us from a younger age. In our country the discussion of sex is considered shameful though everyone knows about it. Also we should stop blaming the victims and blame the rapist and make sure they get jailed . I think sex should be normalized and not considered a sin . Then only people are gonna be more aware. Im sure this is also going to be ignored like all the other posts like these were.
