What’s my feeling of turning into 22? I feel excited and at the same time, a bit sad. I’m excited because it’s my birthday of course and feel sad because it’s a sign of getting older and older, and sometimes I feel much happier going back to childhood times where everything is less to worry and stress for. So, by now, I have been on this world for exactly 22years. That is not a very long period of time, but I do seriously learn from the past, from how childish I am when I was kid or even teen, how innocent I am before to now, present: …..when I started to be more careful, considerate, learn to let go, and thinks positively. That’s a good thing right? It’s part of our process on growing up to become an adult, whom is responsible on dealing with much bigger issues ahead. I’m ready for challenge. After reaching 22 years of age, it’s time to step forward and think differently, with support of experience gained for the past two decades for a better life ahead. Birthday wish? Hmm…there is always no specific wish for that. When I was kid, all I was wishing every year was getting good grades for examination. Now, I have to say I’m a bit greedy already. I’m wishing for more wishes that would come true! Hahaha….it would be too generous wishing for world peace and freedom which myself as an individual can’t do much things about it…so basically, my wish would be….ahheemm…won’t tell…hahaha…but those kind of wish won’t differs from you and others….we are all human after all…. Happy Birthday to myself once again! Thank you lord I’m happy for turning into 22!🎉🎊So, next year would be my time to step further into age of 23, when by then, I’m free to do many things. But then, once you are more exposed, then you would be more in danger. I’m that type of person who gonna boost everyone’s confidence and motivate them to love themselves but personally, I’m still not that confident. How ironic right? Don’t get me wrong though, I love myself but there are times that I feel really ugly. I can say that I’m still on the process of being confident. My friends and family makes me feel extra confident. They make me feel like I’m the best. They accepted me for who I am including my flaws. They made me love myself even more. Wearing makeup and trendy outfits also made me feel much better and more confident about myself. And there’s nothing wrong with that. Global Design Graduate Show in collaboration with @gucci 🖤🖤Congratulations🖤🖤 to Nicholas Rademacher @nicolas.rademacher graduate in Architecture from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. Winner of the Public Vote in ACCESSORIES !! in the @i_d and @ARTSTHREAD #globaldesigngraduateshow2020 My story is a little unique in that I did graduate in 2020, but in architecture. As I was finishing up my degree I kept exploring the ideas from that thesis into other design practices such as fashion. It started with the mask and grew into larger full body concepts. The work is an exploration of fashion using the same tools and technology learned in architecture. The design processes started with tests of a 3D printed bodice and transitioned to more traditional fabric patterning. The interest lies within the articulation of the body. The researched works of Jean Paul Gaultier, Martin Margiela, and more recently Iris Van Herpens work helped inform the designs. Focusing on the dress, the process started out with the tracing of an image of a ghost orchid, being drawn to the wispy, delicate nature of the flower. From there, the line work is mirrored, warped, and rotated to multiple iterations. After picking the desired iteration, it goes through the process of warping a moiré pattern to the line work to give it graphic richness. To complete the concept there is a ghosted silhouette, a technique used in Martin Margielas work that harkens back to the ghostly qualities of the orchid. B E S T O F 2 0 1 9 . . It has been a long while I havent been posting on Instagram. A lot of things have happened during the last bits of 2019 and beginning of 2020. Hope you all had a lovely new year 2020 start. I think it might be considered late for posting this #bestnine2019. 2019 has been a very interesting and memorable year. Exactly two weeks ago, it was my last day at Sephora Canada. It is with a heavy heart I have decided to leave my position as Sephora Canadas PRO Lead Artist for Eastern Canada. It has been an amazing journey starting from a young seasonal cashier 7 years ago and growing into a Senior Artist and then to my dream job as a PRO Lead Artist. Who would have thought that a dream could come true? I am so grateful to the people I have encountered and that gave me a chance to grow and develop my skills as an artist. You know who you are! 😉 I have built some solid friendships and skills that I will be carrying through for the rest of my life. There are so many memorable moments... From getting hired, dancing on the cashwrap during the holidays or events, getting promoted into my dream job and doing my first Sephora Canada beauty campaign... these moments will never be forgotten.
