Hace 1 año iniciábamos la cuenta atrás hacia el paraíso🏝 Faltaban muy poquitos días para que diera comienzo uno de los viajes más increíbles de nuestra vida, que confirmó nuestras sospechas de que #IslaMauricio es mucho más que esos grandes resorts y playas de revista!🐠🐚✨ 👉🏼A veces nos dejamos llevar por prejuicios sobre determinados destinos 🤔 En este caso concreto, corre por ahí el rumor de que “es 1 destino para lunas de miel 👰🏼 o para descansar encerrados en un enorme y lujoso complejo 🏨😎”...Y sinceramente familia, ni @ruul.alcalde ni yo íbamos a irnos hasta casi el Polo Sur para beber daikiris🍹 en la tumbona del hotel! Where do I get inspiration for my jewelry creations? Not many of you know but I have travelled all over the world. I have been to all continents except Antarctica (although I could see it from Ushuaia, Argentina) and have been to more than 30 countries. My farthest trip North brought me into the Northern Passage, my farthest South was Ushuaia, and Ive been too so many beautiful places in between. In addition to travel, I have met and worked with people from over 80 countries. I worked with a large cruise company who hired people from all over the world. I always loved meeting and talking to people from different places. So my jewelry is inspired by the colorful places and people of the world. One of my favourite colorful places was the neighbour La Boca in the city of Buenos Aires in Argentina. La Boca has very much become a tourist attraction but in speaking to the locals I learned a lot about the beginnings of the neighbourhood. I remember speaking to a local artist who told me the reason the streets are so colorful is because it use to be a very poor neighbourhood (and surrounding areas still are) and people would take left over metal and paint from the sea port to build shelter and paint their homes. I also learned the history of tango and how it use to be a dance between only men - who would have thought? Do a specific place or person inspire you?
