Wondering how to make your child eat their veggies? 🤔 Try this quick and simple Roasted cauliflower with cumin, coriander and almonds Recipe from Jamie Oliver! 🧑‍🍳 Preheat your oven to 200°C. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Blanch the cauliflower in salted boiling water for a couple of minutes then drain in a colander, allowing it to steam dry (you dont want any water left in your cauliflower or it wont roast properly). ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Toss it in a good lug of olive oil and the butter. In a pestle and mortar, bash your spices and chillies with a pinch of salt, then mix them with your almonds and put in a hot, dry ovenproof pan to slowly toast them. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ After a couple of minutes, add the cauliflower. Trocee el pollo a gusto, en 4 u 8 presas. 2. Lubrique con Rocío vegetal una cacerola que pueda ir al horno y, a fuego lento, saltee tres minutos las cebollas, el ajo y los morrones. 3. This summer marked the beginning of a new chapter for the Cincinnati Children’s Fetal Care Center. This team has provided fetal diagnostics, innovative fetal intervention and neonatal care for moms and babies for many years. Now, the center has expanded delivery services so babies diagnosed with complex fetal conditions, who need urgent, immediate medical care after birth, will be delivered just down the hall from our NICU and CICU. After the babies are born, their moms will recover at Cincinnati Children’s, with TriHealth special delivery unit staff to take care of them. 🧳 В кампусе ДВФУ стартовало заселение в гостиничные корпуса. Порядок размещения иногородних студентов на 2020/21 учебный год отличается от действовавших ранее в связи с мерами по борьбе с распространением коронавирусной инфекции. Заселение проходит поэтапно и распределено по датам в течение недели. Как сообщили в департаменте гостеприимства ДВФУ, всего до начала учебного года 14 сентября планируется заселить в кампус около 8300 человек Чтобы избежать очередей, студентам рекомендовано приезжать в свою распределенную дату. Так, в первый день массового заезда в комнатах размещено порядка 830 человек. Для профилактики коронавирусной инфекции оформление документов также происходит в особом формате: совершеннолетние студенты подписывают документы самостоятельно, без родителей, с несовершеннолетними может пройти только один из родственников или законных представителей. На всех этапах строго соблюдаются необходимые санитарно-эпидемиологические требования, обязательно ношение масок, социальная дистанция и измерение температуры. Ресепшн в гостиничных корпусах работает в режиме 24/7, поэтому заселение возможно в любое время суток, даже если студент пребывает в кампус ночью или рано утром. Также если студент по сложившимся обстоятельствам приехал раньше установленной даты заезда, то ему достаточно обратиться к администратору корпуса и объяснить ситуацию. 🚨 The Speed Project. 🚨 @thespeedproject No Rules. No Spectators. 31 hours : 15 minutes 🕐 Team @ldp.unsw.usyd 💪 9 runners from USyd and UNSW, a mix from ultra-marathon veterans to 5km athletes, all had one goal. Covering the furthest distance possible one runner at a time in 31 hours & 15 minutes. Why 31 hours & 15 minutes? Its the team record to race from LA to Las Vegas. 🇺🇸 Starting at 7am Saturday morning, the team rotated through legs of 5km until 2:15pm Sunday afternoon. 85 laps and 422.5km later, they finished 26th out of 260 teams with an average pace of 4:30 per kilometer. 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ Shoutout to Daniel, Joshua, Natalie, Steven, Sara, Chris, Andre, Damien and Abhishek for their amazing effort! ❤️ - @usydrunclub on Instagram

Many of you know about seed cycling, but did you know that you can optimize your entire nutrition and training strategy to work with your hormones instead of against them? ⠀ ⠀ Week 1: Push yourself! Those period cramps set you up to have a high pain tolerance in the gym. You need more carbs and fewer calories as the rise in estrogen begin to suppress your appetite. Focus on getting iron (to replace losses during menstruation), omega 3 fats, and high-quality carbs. ⠀ ⠀ Week 2: Continue to push yourself, you continue to have a higher pain tolerance. You are still more efficient at burning carbs, but your calorie burn is a bit lower, which is fine because estrogen is still suppressing your appetite. Focus on getting omega 3 fats, especially ground flax, and eating high-quality carbs. ⠀ ⠀ Ovulation - CAREFUL! You may be stronger during this time, but studies have estimated you being up to 6x more likely to get hurt. Focus on protein intake, especially collagen/Vitamin C combo, and above all watch your form during your workout! Note that not all women will ovulate on day 15, its usually days 12-21 is normal. ⠀ ⠀ Week 3: Say hello to progesterone! It makes you feel relaxed and turns up your calorie burn. At this point in your cycle, you want to shift your diet to be higher in fats and lower in carbs. Youll train for fat burning as well, focusing more on steady-state cardio and if possible, fasted cardio. Youll want to be getting in healthy fats like pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, nuts, avocados, organic dairy, etc. ⠀ ⠀ Week 4: Similar to week 3, but as hormones start to dip down support your mood with a BCAA supplement or high-quality protein at each meal. And if there was ever a time for it, this is the best week to focus more on active recovery than anything else. Back in 1987, at the Special Olympics World Summer Games in South Bend, Indiana, Eunice Kennedy Shriver spoke to athletes during the opening ceremony. Her speech was captivating. It was emotional. It was raw and most importantly, it embodied hope. Tonight, in this great stadium, a new legend is born, she said on behalf of those competing. You, athletes, are the heroes of that legend. Here, where crowds once cheered for Johnny Lujack and George Gipp, for Joe Theisman and Rocky Bleier; tonight, they cheer for you. You Special Olympians have thrilled us on the playing fields of the world, she said. You have taught us that what matters is not power or politics, weapons, or wealth. What truly counts is the courageous spirit, the generous heart. Her words echoed throughout the world. Over 30 years ago, Mrs. Shriver told the athletes of Special Olympics that they had the right to play on any playing field, to study in any school, to hold any job and to be anyones neighbor. When you hear the words ‘healthy’ and ‘consume’ in the same sentence, what’s the first thought that pops into your mind? Most people will likely answer food—nutrition. But how we consume content online is just as important to our health. If you consume “junk food” content, your mental and even physical health start to suffer. There are 3 keys to taking control of your online diet. 1️⃣Improve your awareness on WHERE your time is going. Keep a journal log for a week of what you spend your time online doing, or leverage your phone’s data for time spent on various apps on your phone. 2️⃣ Be proactive about only viewing quality content. DON’t make your content consumption a passive activity. Dictate what you will and won’t consume or it will be decided for you. 3️⃣And lastly, set goals and add a strategy behind your content consumption to help you make lasting habit changes. Technology is very addicting. Correcting habits can be extremely difficult. But one way to help you make the transition (that doesn’t involve insane will power) is to focus on inspiring, educational, GOAL-CENTERED consumption. Having life goals to align your content consumption to can help you stick to healthier content habits. For example, I want to grow my blog. Council has some interesting concepts up for discussion relating to the future design of the Jubilee Park precinct, which incorporates further enhancement of the ‘Captains Walk’. Improved utilisation of the existing natural landscape including Muttama Creek, complementing the adjoining Caravan Park and linking pathways with other existing and proposed major access opportunities. . Another idea up for consideration is a large walk through Australian native ‘Bird Avery’ that would give an amazing place for locals to walk through and sit enjoying the wonders and beautiful of our native species, and add a major tourist attraction for visitors and travellers. It would be the intent to place the Avery in an area that utilises the massive structure of existing River Red Gums. . CGRC is partnering with Landscape Architects, Sala4D, to create the landscape masterplan for the iconic park. With 20 years’ experience in the creation of spaces, Sala4D have diverse local government experience and understand the specific requirements of the public sector. . The workshops will be held on Wednesday 24 June in the Alby Schultz Meeting Centre in Cooper Street Cootamundra. Due to social distancing restrictions there are limited numbers allowable at the workshops, so bookings are essential. Due to these restrictions there will be two workshops. My favorite part of the program was doing ride alongs at different fire stations. 4. On Oct. 2, Camping (By reservation), boating (Prepaid Boat Launch Fee) & limited day use are returning to Del Valle, Quarry Lakes & Anthony Chabot. Strict capacity limitations are in place to avoid overcrowding/maintain social distancing. Day use vehicle access will be on a first-come, first-serve basis. Additionally, all picnic areas, barbecues, and group campsites will continue to be closed in accordance with state/local health orders. There is also NO SWIMMING ALLOWED at any designated District swim facilities due to COVID-19. During COVID-19, 99 percent of the District’s 130,000 acres of parklands, 55 miles of shoreline, and 1,300 miles of recreational trails have been open and accessible to the public. However, some limited park areas and facilities have been closed since March 25, 2020 to avoid overcrowding and prevent activities that are restricted by state and local health orders. OCTOBER 2nd PARK AREA & FACILITY REOPENINGS: Del Valle • Boat Launching/Fishing by Boat • Boat Rentals • Family Campground – Reduced Capacity • Day-Use, East Side Only – Reduced Capacity • Ohlone Wilderness Trail Remains CLOSED Quarry Lakes • Boat Launching/Fishing by Boat Anthony Chabot • Family Campground – Reduced Capacity Lake Chabot • Boat Launching/Fishing by Boat – REOPENED SEPTEMBER 10 Sibley: • Sibley Backpack Camp Family Camping: The Del Valle and Anthony Chabot family campgrounds will be open at 50 percent capacity. A CalFire Burn Ban is in effect due to extreme fire conditions. No open fires, campfires, wood-burning, or charcoal barbeques are allowed; gas or propane-fueled stoves are permitted. At Del Valle, there will also be no showers available due to renovation of the park’s 60-year-old water system. Camping reservations open Monday, September 21. Reservations can be made online at www.ebparks.org/Register or by phone at 1 (888) 327-2757, option 2: Monday - Friday, 10:00am-3:00pm.
