#StudioBuildingUpdate So its been over a month since my last update, but thats not because nothing has been happening - quite the opposite actually... All the Gib is up and the Gib stopping is finished (f**k yeah!) - what a bloody mission that was! Next step, slapping some paint on the walls, ceiling and beams! Weve got a pretty sweet idea for the colour scheme for both rooms, plus a couple of feature walls made out of repurposed wood. Looks like Im on track to officially open at the end of October. It’s hard to believe last August was our 5 year anniversary in our current space. When I first moved into this space, I was pretty scared if I was going to be able to afford the rent that was 4 times the amount that I was paying at my old studio but knew that I had to make that jump. During the 5 years that I’ve been here, I’ve made a shit ton of mistakes, but also learned a lot as a trainer, business owner, and also as a person. And looking back, I don’t know how I was able to survive through all the mistakes and headaches that comes with being a business owner but one thing for certain is that I’m truly grateful for making that leap. I’ve made great relationships with my clients, the community where I grew up in, and helped make positive changes in people’s lives and I’m also humbled and thankful for the support from my friends, clients and the community. With all that’s going on with Covid and the uncertainties, I’m not sure what to expect but can’t wait to see what pans out in the next 5 years as I’m learning and evolving as a person, trainer and business owner. I know everything happens for a reason and I believe the best is yet to come.
