In my 1st grade yearbook I wrote that I wanted to be a princess when I grew up. Yes ACTUALLY 😂 ⠀ 2. I played with Barbies until I was 15. ⠀ 3. I was born in Ukraine but I’m Russian-American. Yes, I speak fluent Russian! I can also read & write but it takes me muuuuuch longer than English of course. ⠀ 5. I was going to become a dermatologist because I love popping pimples & still watch pimple popping videos on YouTube 😂 ⠀ 6. I was once an artist when I was a kid & even had one of my paintings make it to a museum in Europe. I can’t paint for sh*t now. ⠀ 7. I was so shy growing up I never ONCE raised my hand to speak in class. Not EVER. ⠀ 8. When I was 18, I kept telling my boyfriend I was going to be a millionaire by 25. Well, I became a millionaire at 25. ⠀ 9. I Recently became obsessed (like OBSESSED) with studying human design. I’m a 2/4 sacral generator. ⠀ 10. When I was born I contracted a staph infection in my brain. Doctors told my mom I wouldn’t live past 1 years old. And if by some miracle I did, I’d be in a wheelchair unable to walk. Neither happened & by the grace of God I’m still here 🙋♀️ ⠀ 11. I am feeling really overwhelmed... at the thought of having an actual real break. At the thought of having time to myself to do nothing. No work. No kids. No husband. No one wanting me to do anything for them. And it’s slightly freaking me out. How completely crazy and ridiculous is that?! #firstworldproblems I know 🙄 . The thing is that in this modern society our worth and value is often intrinsically linked to how busy we are, how much we fill our days up. Diary full of appointments? Massive list of things to do efficiently being ticked off? Racing from one thing to another? You must be a busy, in demand, and therefore an important person, right?! The words and tone we use when people don’t fill their time - doing nothing, sitting around, laziness, time-wasters - all of it implies that to simply BE means that we have less meaningful purpose and less value in our world and to others. WTAF?! How did we get here? This pandemic has been and is brutal, but it’s meant a sharp juddering halt to a lot of rushing around. That said, the mental pace has been as frenetic for me. How to keep going workwise, how to entertain and educate the kids, what meals to make... The cup has been emptying without taking time to refill properly. 💜Next week I’ll be on retreat - first time I’ve gone on a week’s retreat ever, and the 2nd time I’ve been away from my family for more than a few days alone for pleasure (and one of those was a funeral!) in 20 years. So, with much apprehension, I am taking the laptop out of my bag, putting a sketch pad and pencils in its place, and giving myself permission to just REST and let the right side of my brain be more stimulated than the hustling left! I’ve gifted myself this time, yoga every morning, lectures to learn some good stuff from @celestpereirayoga in the afternoons... and 6 freaking hours every day in between to JUST BE. Bring it on. Obvs, no classes next week, back week after 💓🙏🏽 . Fresh face & curls 〰️➰ I’ve been #tiredasamother this week. After doing my hair I have zero energy to do my makeup. I don’t know if it’s the change in my exercise routine, kids, or diet. Maybe it’s all of those combined. Whatever the case may be, I’m listening and taking it easy on my body today and mentally trying not to be so critical of myself. Take it easy, everyone. ✌🏽🖤 Curly hair technique used: -Apply leave-in conditioner to freshly washed, soaking wet hair. Brush through to evenly distributed. -Glaze mousse, scrunch, and brush through avoiding the scalp. -Glaze gel and scrunch -Using microfiber towel, squeeze out excess water. -Blowdry on high between low heat and cool. -Scrunch out the crunch with a little frizz control. - @tamarahhh on Instagram

I woke up like this! Seriously though, a friend reminded me last night that my HAIR is one of my testimonies when it comes to my health journey. I swear, it didn’t always look like this... HA Growing up, I wasn’t around lots of people who embodied their natural hair. And for the time I did, before learning to heat damage my hair or bleach it, it was frizzy, unhealthy, and without life.. just as I felt on the in side. The pictures in the last three slides show my hair over a time period of 6 years!! Truly, it wasn’t until I made the changes to turn my health around and nourish my body with fresh vitamins from fruits, veggies, and juices .. to where I started seeing a huge different in the length, strength, and over all shine and health of my hair. My hair is my life force!! It’s all the antennas to my spirit guides! I’m so proud of myself for embracing my hair now and have been taught to love my hair and self for what ancestors gifted me with. And yes this is my hair from waking up in the morning, it’s not in perfect fresh coils but she is still LIVING!! Hope this is a remember to you all to keep thriving towards your goals, and to thank yourself for how far you have come, even if you don’t feel it meant much. I have spent a great deal of my life wondering what was wrong with me. I wanted to tell you this because I know what it’s like to be in that space. It has caused my body to always expect something else to pop up in dis-ease or uncomfortable symptoms, my skin to break out, my heart to stay closed and subconsciously pushing away anything that was coming my way because I didn’t feel worthy of it because at the end of the day, my subconscious thoughts told me that there would ALWAYS be something wrong with me. False..... false false false - FALSE. It’s bullshit. Especially as women - we often hear “I’m independent, I don’t need anyone” and yet it’s another wall built for protection, we give more than we actually want too because we hope to receive the same in return... We compromise on the way we live our lives, we dismiss speaking up about our feelings in fear that we will be perceived as too emotional or a psycho so we stay shut, we hate ourselves more than we love ourselves because we let our minds play games on us and tell us we aren’t divine We give our power away to clothes/makeup/ all the things that are external that make us believe that we need it all in order to be accepted, to be seen, to be loved - to belong as though we aren’t any of those to begin with. DEBT FREE, BABY!! Over the last ten years I accrued a pretty hefty amount of debt as a result of injuries, starting a business, and being unable to tell myself no whenever there was an opportunity to travel. Along the way I also made matters worse by living off my credit cards whenever money got low and refusing to adjust my lifestyle when my bank account said I needed to. Fast forward to this spring and having a lot of time to think long and hard about how that debt was affecting my life and my future. I decided to try to pay it all off in one Summer. I knew it was a lofty goal but I figured even if I tried and failed it would still put me in a better position. I picked up a third summer job, did odd jobs whenever the opportunity arose, cashed in change, sold stuff, drove for the Roadie app, said no to a lot of fun things and said yes to every shift anyone ever asked me to cover. I worked 7 days a week, a ton of doubles, and took 3 days off all summer but in the end I paid off all of my (almost 25k) in debt. Zero regrets on any of the travel that was charged over the years, those experiences were priceless. But all the coffees, happy hours and subscription boxes, those I could have skipped. 🤦♀️ If anyone out there is struggling with debt and wants to talk about it, let me know. I’m no financial expert but I’ve been there and know it can feel really overwhelming. ❤️ Now, off to New Jersey for some fam time and some R&R. Vietnamese is my primary language; English can be too; and Spanish is always a fave when traveling. 3. Since I journal by the book growing up, I learned how to write backwards from right to left. 4. I have alot of allergies, so I don’t eat red meats; my body loves raw food veggies and seafood, altho I can easily mob an order of extra crispy dry rub lemon pepper chicken wings, flats only. 5. I completed my 200hrs YTT in 2015, been practicing yoga on and off for ~6yrs while it’s my 3rd year posting ig yoga as a journal for my practice. 6. I began my healing journey in 2005 when I tried psilocybin for the v first time. 7. I have been to burning man a few times and developed self-sustaining skills and self-actualization mindset. 8. My self-love journey helped me learn to love myself to the core and connect to my source of energies, my inner G. Before that, I was really disconnected to myself and my emotional intelligence was failing me. 9. Besides yoga and energy work, I also have a sacred Buddhist practice to work with my ancestors, angels and ascended masters. 10. I’m a huge crybaby when I’m overwhelmed with feelings because I am human and a Lovebugg. Now, I’m tagging 10 baabes to share abt themselves. 💞 Today is the Last day of #twistorbend and it’s yogi’s choice and I am sharing one of my favorite twists and bending poses: twisted puppy pose with eagle legs and prayer hands. It’s one I started to practice years ago when working on creating a hybrid of an eagle legs puppy and found balancing was easiest with prayer hands as the base for this half shoulderstand like pose. I’ve shared it in many videos and even as a preview video for our challenge, but decided to share it again along with the other videos of poses from this challenge. I’ve also added music that’s from two of my favorite musicians that create beautiful uplifting yoga tunes. {Do Something Everyday That Scares You!} . In one of my recent Smart Success Healthcare Elite Mastermind training calls this week, we were talking about the bravery that is needed to run an online business and connect your solution to a particular problem with individuals who have that target problem and want it solved (in other words....sales!). Sometimes this means getting uncomfortable and talking on the phone with 10-15 strangers a day. Sometimes it means getting out of your own way and actually taking the plunge to begin a launch of a program or online business. . One of my colleagues stated on the call that “If you don’t feel like throwing up everyday, you’re not getting uncomfortable enough.” I couldn’t agree more! Our comfort zone is a lovely place, but nothing ever grows there! We limit our growth and potential when we keep our boat in the harbor instead of setting sail across the ocean. And when we are not living up to our full potential, we are doing the whole world a disservice since we are dimming the benevolent impact we could have in the lives of many! . I try to make it a habit to do one thing every day that pushes me outside of my comfort zone and scares me a bit in order to continue on the path of growth in my personal and professional life. Sometimes it is small challenges like smiling at a stranger, and sometimes it is big challenges like learning how to fly a plane! . I was up in the air when the government held a press conference announcing the lockdown of Norway in March. My wine tasting that evening got cancelled and I flew back home the day after. That was the last time I flew or went anywhere near an airport. Since then, all our summer festivals across Europe with @satyriconofficial got cancelled and so did our shows in the U.S. Everything I do got screwed up to some degree really. I’m on my way to Trondheim in the middle of Norway to do a few days of winemakers dinners, wine tastings and a lecture for wine students at wine school. That’s a good thing I suppose. Some hint of normality maybe? The airport parking lot and terminal was abandoned like some ghost town. Never seen it like this. And I’m used to flying around once a week in average. Some years more. This virus will stay with us for a long time, so we better start focusing on how to SAFELY take our lives back. But, we have to get back to business. As many of you know, I am a Flight Attendant for 10 years now. Right now, my colleagues and I are working our hardest to bring our fellow Canadians home from around the globe. We are in the front line of this pandemic amongst others who are working hard around the clock to protect you and bring you or your loved ones home. I am monitoring my health and going day by day. If I feel sick I will not board the plane. Once our mission is complete we will be laid off for an undetermined amount of time. On my last flight I will then start my two weeks quarantine. I will miss the friendly skies as I spend half my time up in the air and it might even be considered a second home or my office. Although I am currently flying I am not running around on my time off for no reason. Please do your part in this and respect social distancing so that our life can go back to normal as quickly as possible. Stay home and be kind to one another. Use your time wisely instead of complaining and do all the things you complained about before not having the time to do. Thank you to everyone in every field that is working hard in order to get us through these difficult times. I acknowledge your strength and kindness.
