One thing important to emphasize too is that folks tailor their comments specifically to zoning code, which is why its important that we talk about worries about erosion and landslide. Allegheny County has indicated that much of the land included in a proposed development at the Donnys Place site is Slope with Conspicuous Soil Creep, which is defined as Clayey soils, generally less than 5 ft thick, commonly underlain by weathered shale; characterized by shallow, slow but distinct, downslope movement that can be greatly accelerated by overloading from fills or structures. That is why Pittsburgh includes much of the land thats part of this development in its Steep Slope Overlay. Furthermore, this development lies in PWSAs Sewershed district A-22, which is ranked 3rd in Overflow Volume among PWSAs 100+ districts. According to an EPA Pittsburgh-focused report, Higher flows also can cause erosion and flooding...One effective approach to minimizing the risk of erosion on steep slopes is simply to protect the slope from development. - A few years ago I was 60 pounds heavier and felt I wasnt a very competitive person. This week I finally stood on top of the podium after quite a few second and third place finishes.
