HAPPY RAKSHBANDAN . It is also known as RAKHI PORNIMA because we celebrate this festival on the full-moon day of the Hindu month of Shravan (July/August). This festival is for brother and sister. On this day sisters tie rakhi on the wrists of their brothers. The motive behind this was that the brothers should protect them against evil influences, and pray for their long life and happiness. And also in turn brother, give a gift which is a promise that they will protect their sisters from any harm. This festival is originated early centuries of Mahabharata when Draupadi, wife of the Pandavas had torn the corner of her sari to prevent Lord Krishnas wrist from bleeding (he had inadvertently hurt himself). Thus, a bond, that of brother and sister developed between them, and he promised to protect her. And from that day we are celebrating this day. So, only tying rakhi by sister & giving gifts as token/symbol of love through brother is not enough. Actually we should all help our sisters in their difficult time. Not only sisters all the girls in our surrounding we should protect them they all should feel safe & secure when you are there with them. For all girls their protection much more matters then the gift & they will be happier with it. Madurai Shanmukhavadivu Subbulakshmi (M. S. Subbulakshmi) was a prominent Indian Carnatic singer and musician from Madhurai, Tamil Nadu. She was the first ever musician to recieve the lauded Bharat Ratna - Indias highest civilian honour. In addition to being a celebrated singer and a classical veenai player Subbulakshmi also starred in several films. Her first film Sevasadanam in 1938 was set in a contemporary social setting and was an advocate to reformist social policies. Prominant film critic Aranthai Narayanan stated that the film was a turning point in Tamil cinema. In the climax, the husband was shown casting aside with contempt his sacred thread,, which symbolises Brahmin superiority. It came as a stunning blow to the then Bramin orthodoxy. Subbulakshmi also played a male role in Savitri (1941) to raise money for the launch of her husbands Tamil weekly news paper called Kalki. Dua pekan kemudian keadaan berubah, ini disebabkan karna Belanda secara licik melanggar perjanjian gencatan senjata dengan melancarkan serangan militer ke beberapa wilayah republik pada 21 Juli 1947 (dikenal sebagai Agresi Militer Belanda I), tidak menutup kemungkinan Pekanbaru akan diserang juga. Atas situasi itu DIP mengungsikan istri dan bayinya ke Bangkinang. Mama harus mengungsi karna Bapak mau berperang. Kata DIP Hanya bersama sopir dan bayi katherin, Marieke menuju Bangkinang. Malang betul, kendaraan mereka rusak dari siang sampai pagi berikutnya terjebak di tengah hutan, sunyi dan gelap, dari kejauhan Marieke sudah melihat harimau berkeliaran, sambil terus mendekap Katherin ia berdoa. Di Bangkinang beberapa hari, rupanya Pekanbaru tidak diserang Belanda, sehingga Marieke kembali ke Pekanbaru. Namun, Pandjaitan suaminya tetap disibukkan dengan tugas menyusun rencana operasi dari Komandan Resimen IV berhari-hari siang dan malam ia memikirkan strategi² untuk pertahanan resimen IV, buah pemikirannya itu disetujui dan dijadikan Instruksi Operasi No.1 Tahun 1947.
