A note on caffeine. ⁣ ⁣ There is a strong importance to limiting ourselves to 1 caffeine drink daily. Many of us have become reliant on coffee as a life source, unable to function without 2, 3 or even 4 cups a day. It’s addictive tendencies consume us, and we feel withdrawal without it. ⁣ ⁣ Upon waking up in the morning, cortisol levels spike, meaning our bodies are provided with sufficient energy to power through the day. ⁣ ⁣ Though that cup of coffee first thing in the morning does provide an instantaneous jolt, it increases cortisol at it’s already high point, which can negatively impact hormonal balance, insulin production, immune response, deep sleep, and cause weight gain. Cortisol is necessary for our health; however, the problem is when we are constantly drinking coffee, our body is continuously producing cortisol, throwing off the raw cycles in our bodies. ⁣ ⁣ For some, coffee can be beneficial, as it does stimulate acid production and may help those who struggle with depression. But, the best time to drink it is not upon waking. The best time is to drink a cup after breakfast, between 9:30 AM and noon, when your cortisol levels typically drop, and not past then. ⁣ ⁣ If you find yourself reaching for more than one cup a day, your body may have come to use caffeine as a crutch and has thrown off it’s natural wake-up mechanisms. ⁣ ⁣ My advice:⁣ - Sleep 7-9 hours at night, falling asleep before 11 PM.⁣ - Quality is just as important as quantity. Promote restful sleep by taking a highly absorbable Magnesium supplement, powering off electronics, drinking herbal tea, or taking an Epsom salt bath before bed.⁣ - Drink 1 Liter of water upon waking. We lose water as we sleep and most commonly wake up dehydrated.⁣ - Slowly wean yourself off of coffee and try drinking green tea or matcha. These have calming properties with similar amounts of caffeine as coffee.⁣ - Be patient and motivated. You may feel headaches, fatigue, and lethargy. Llegamos a Canadá hace 16 años, mi esposo, mi hijo que para ese entonces tenía 3 años de edad, y yo. Un par de años después ingresó a la escuela. El primer año todo parecía normal, pero yo percibía que mi hijo no disfrutaba la escuela, algunas veces llegaba muy triste y otras llorando por las burlas de sus compañeros (por ser hispano y porque no hablaba ni entendía bien el inglés). Eso me partía el corazón pues en lugar de que disfrutara esa primera etapa escolar, parecía que lo estábamos obligando a ir a un lugar donde él no quería estar. Cuando busqué una respuesta, los profesores me decían “no se preocupe, eso es normal, pasará con el tiempo, así que decidimos esperar. Pasó un tiempo y nada cambiaba, al reunirme de nuevo con la directora de la escuela me insinuó que el niño debía ser medicado para que de esta manera se pudiera adaptar al sistema escolar. Pero yo sabía que tenía que haber algo más para ayudar a mi hijo, tenía que haber un sistema diferente donde -sin excluirlo- él pudiera aprender a explotar sus capacidades, un sistema que no le dijera “no puedes, no perteneces”. Con mi esposo empezamos a investigar todas las alternativas para poder enseñar a nuestro hijo fuera de una escuela regular, y fue así como una persona me introdujo al mundo del homeschooling. Ele questionou se os candidatos ficha suja considerados inelegíveis para as eleições 2020, pelo calendário original, continuam impedidos de disputar cargos, mesmo com o adiamento do pleito para novembro. man. said goodbye to the spot. was never just another paycheck or place. @c3dtlv was home. when i sat down with the team back in november, i didn’t know just how much god was growing my heart for this city. behind the bar were moments of patience (for everyone else lol), a range of connection and conversation, and family time. months prior, i felt so alone, unseen, lost. such a stark difference to the moment i’d walk in the shop, to the hours i’d spend there daily, to the creative community i got to be a part of. it was a hyphenated space for me in the time it found me. call it drama, but my heart is so broken at the closing of these doors. i’ve learned so much from the people i worked besides to the people whose names i learned, even if for just that one day - because everyday, we wanted people to know that they matter. holding on to the culture that was created within 201 e charleston and carried out beyond. continuing to pray for local businesses during this time. lives and livelihoods are being changed every second. so yes, this place was more than the cup of jo we served, but that was too good too. thank you, @c3dtlv for the experience, for the purpose, for the heart, for the joy, for the love. las vegas is better for it. i am too. - @eliana_park on Instagram

I use it to warm-up just about any color. Also my favorite for toning canvases. Use with green mixes to tone them down a bit. A great neutralizer. da série: livro que não me agradou de forma alguma ⚠️ assim que lançou “mil beijos de garoto”, fiquei super empolgada para ler, pois era um livro super aclamado.. fui correndo pra livraria comprar ele, mas me dei alguns dias para poder ler ele, pois não queria ler com expectativas altas demais 🤣 e assim que comecei a ler, já fui achando estranho aquela história de uma criança de apenas 8 anos ganhar um pote com mil corações de papel de presente da avó, onde ela iria, em cada papel, escrever sobre o beijo “quase fizesse seu coração explodir”. Foquem na informação: uma criança de 8 anos.. já achei isso o cúmulo. mas, prosseguindo com a leitura, fui notando outras coisas que não me agradaram. A história é daquelas onde o casal se conhecem desde sempre, e o destino os separam um dia.. e, em meio a essa distância, depois que o menino voltou, ele voltou um porre de chatice, só fazia a menina ficar chorando, tratando ela super mal, já odiei ele desde então. e aí, o livro foi se tornando somente isso, o menino tratando a menina mal, e ela sofrendo por ele. abandonei um pouco mais da metade, então me acho no direito de falar que o livro não me agradou, pois li mais da metade. entendo o lado de quem gosta desse livro, e até consigo ver os motivos. I am super chuffed to report that 4 of my images placed in this year’s @Click.magazine’s 2020 Voice competition. There is some fierce talent out there, so to have several of my photos chosen out of an entry pool of about 40,000 submissions was a huge surprise. . The first, a photo of my husband I titled “The Patient One,” was chosen as a finalist in the “Taking Shape” category. . “Day 25,” shot on day 25 of quarantine, received an honorable mention in the “No Place Like Home” category. (Thanks for washing the windows, kid.) . “Sunday School,” which features my younger son waiting for violin lessons in a church classroom, received an honorable mention in the “Studying Light” category. . “A Girl Gets Lonely Sometimes,” shot outside a beauty salon school during the pandemic shutdown, took home an honorable mention in the “Broken Reality” category. .
