Soooooo excited to announce our NEW SITE just went live!!!⠀ ⠀ ⠀ It’s hard to know where to begin because we started the process of creating a new website in January of 2019! Its been a long journey and not an easy one! If youve followed along im sure youve seen many sneak peeks!⠀ ⠀ ⠀ Through this process we went through 3 failed attempts at custom website design (painful to say the very least & expensive), and two copywriters. The main thing is we didnt give up! We had an expectation of what we wanted (our standards are pretty high) and kept going until those expectations were met. Those standards dont just apply to website design they apply to how we run our business, treat our clients and the products and services we deliver. If were being fully transparent the mistakes we made through this process cost us upward of 16k and thats not including the money we spent after those attempts to get the final site. BUT the thing is were okay with that because we learned a lot and well ALWAYS invest back into our business to provide our clients with the best experience possible and to keep improving. ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ NOW onto the good stuff! The goal of creating a new site for HG was to provide a resource for Brides. Having a pretty portfolio is important especially if youre a photographer BUT we wanted our new site to HELP Brides. I was part of a panel discussion this week for @trianglenace focused on the future of weddings and events in light of Covid. One recurring theme was that smaller, intimate weddings do NOT equate to a less-than experience. Instead, we talked about ways couples can create an amazing experience for their guests, and even spoil them more. It’s been a long road with many curves since the Foothills Arena collapsed on March 15, 2019. As spring, and the one year mark approached, we were excited at the prospect of having the whole. Foothills Family out riding every day in the outdoor ring and on the trails, but alas, the Covid 19 Pandemic, and our commitment to follow the mandated safety precautions to the letter, brought that dream to an abrupt halt. But, after dealing with all the curves and enduring the pain and expense of a winter build, we can proudly say, we are on the home stretch. Many thanks to everyone who has endured the hardships along with us. Our customers, employees, friends, contractors, design and engineering, and the City of Greater Sudbury Building Controls all stepped up to help straighten out the curves. A huge shoutout to all. Covid 19 will hopefully be the final hurdle. Although there is much work left to do, there is now light at the end of the tunnel. The construction is continuing albeit a bit slower than we were hoping for. Walls, roof, siding and cupolas are all installed, the arena windows should be finished soon and the doors are on their way. And I mean A LOT. But if you’ve ever seen #SundayWithTheWeavers, or spent any time around us, you know we also make quality time with one another a priority. ⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ Recently, I’ve begun receiving questions on how we’ve gotten so much done in our young lives (I’m 44 soon, he’s +5) and continue getting so much done in the midst of all the various world challenges, while maintaining a life we truly love and consider incredibly blessed.⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ Sooooo...don’t know if this will answer those questions...but I thought I’d at least share our weekly schedule. With the exception of our current 3-week #WeaverWorkcation (whereas we rented a house in GA for working during the week, enjoy cocktails every evening around 5:30pm, and then travel to a new GA coastal city every weekend for a 2-day vacay), this is our normal schedule. ⁣**SWIPE LEFT**⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ As you can see, we work six very full days, but we rest on the 7th. That’s the piece I think a lot of entrepreneurs forget is so important: rest. Keith and I very rarely struggle to come up with ideas (I can’t recall when we ever have) or to problem solve, and I suspect, that has to do with the fact that we take rest seriously; giving our mind and body a break every night and on the 7th day of every week. It’s our way of doing everything we can with excellence, while also acknowledging there is a Higher power at work and we want Him to renew our minds daily/weekly. ⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ Pinning this post for the next time someone asks me, “How do you accomplish so much?!” Here ya go! ⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ The crazier the world gets, the more focused we become, as we refuse to waste a single moment God has given us. Just popping in to say hi and share a little moment of reflection from this weekend. I was talking to @ialamphoto at T&R’s wedding on Friday about how much time we seem to have to ourselves this summer. For most people summer means beaches, vacations and time away from school/work. As a vendor, we sacrifice these moments and are constantly in a cycle of busyness week after week. Often times we miss out on milestone events, small moments and even getaways due to the nature of our work. This summer has been a little different, although I absolutely love my job and am so happy to have two weddings remaining this year - I most definitely am grateful for the memories I’ve made. Cherishing little moments seeing my parents and family members on a daily basis, being able to join plans with friends and get away (even if just for the day). I don’t remember the last time I was able to have so much time solely to myself and it was a nice change of pace. Maybe it was life’s way of reminding us that it’s okay to slow it down sometimes. That being said I am absolutely excited and looking forward to our very very busy 2021 season. This past weekend we were pleased to work with Stride Ministries and 20 of their Airman. They dedicated an entire Saturday at the ranch. They helped to install fencing for a horse grazing pasture. They also accepted the challenge to vaccinate 10 massive pigs, all weighing well over 100lbs. That was sure an experience! Lastly, they were able to saddle up and have a good time in the arena. Still, I was super excited as this was the first trip for baby k and for Me post delivery, Also travelling during this pandemic, I had to plan at every step to make this trip a safe one! So here are the few precautionary tips which I followed,to make this trip a safer one! ✅ Firstly Sanitize your car ✅ Wear your mask and keep sanitizer easily accessible in your car ✅ Do not stop anywhere, if not required. ✅ Check for information at resorts as how they are practicing the safety measures for guest. ✅ Ask them for the room that has been kept vacant for few days and sanitized properly ✅ Dont hesitate to ask for your luggage sanitization. ✅ Make sure the resort is not crowded and following all the norms. ✅ If your baby is on solids,avoid outside food for the baby. Make the food by yourself for your Little one. ✅ Go digital! Digital payments help in minimising physical contact. ✅ Lastly be responsible   Dont travel if your sick.
