Excited to be jetting off to NYC today. Stoked to be heading to some great friends weddings in new and exciting lands as well. However more thrilled about jetting to see @rumr in NYC. Testament to our time together is this amazing photo... if you can be bothered reading here is the story behind it. The playa is really an amazing place. As we all watched the Man #Burn together Saturday night and adventured around afterwards. There was fun, laughter, silliness, dancing and all the things. As the night turned to morning, crystal clear was the day. I took Rachel to the #MayanWarrior to say goodbye to my other Burner family, with Sunday packdown looming, we set off home to be absolutely destroyed by an all mighty of dust storms. With zero visibility and slightly fatigued from a huge night, huge week and huge sale! We had no choice but to try and lie down and wait it out. It went well beyond an hour this dust storm. The only thing we came across to take cover was the Bee Art work called #tobeeornottobee by @mr_and_mrs_ferguson_art (it was not really a cover, but at least an art car would not confuse us as a speed hump)... as we got smashed by the #dust, a lone photographer came out of no where and captured some photos of us. This guy kindly gave Rachel his card and said email me for the snaps. As it happens sometimes on the #playa, people miss-place things. The card went missing. Rachel and i have been talking about that photo a lot, to be fair we were disappointed that we may never see the snap again. A couple of weeks ago i woke and had a insta scroll ( come on admit it, you all do it), of course still so many burn photos being posted and this guy who i started following last year randomly, because he liked one of my photos, just happened to post a cool snap this bee and... of that very morning i speak about. Holy smoke (dust), its Rachel and i taking refuge from the dust under the bee, the very moment we thought we would never see again. and the #photographer is none other than @nico_stojan I mean his music is great but I think his photos are even better! How #magestic is the playa and how things work out there. Time to continue the great story!! - @gryttyoung on Instagram
