Unfortunately, Vanja can’t walk them along with us because of personal issues outside of the band, which has led us to make a very hard decision. Is really important to note that seeking for a new female singer was not an option, with Vanja we found exactly what we wanted, both in the personal and the musical level. So, we started to wonder which was the best option. After more than 15 years as a band, we didn’t want to waste everything we’ve accomplished, and even less in this uncertainty situation that left “Chaos Breeder” Tour practically at the beginning. It’s been almost two years of sharing music and experiences, with the luck of keeping a great friend we want to see crushing the stage soon. She wanted to express all of that herself: “I have greatly enjoyed the opportunity to create music with my friends for the past year. Working and performing together was an unforgettable experience. Unfortunately, circumstances lead us to different opportunities that rendered it difficult to pursue further music endeavors together. I wish In Mute continue their career in success and look forward to share the stage with them in the future.” We want to thank her for all we lived together, for her awesome work and we love that we were able to immortalize it with the last album. We send her a big hug from each and every one of us: Adrián, Pedro, Mike and Cristóbal. With all that in mind, the solution was just in front of us: we don’t need anyone else, [IN MUTE]’s essence is still unalloyed. Mike takes over the vocals, focusing only on that, which has led us to refine our style and look for other sounds without losing our touch. ¿CUÁNTO ESTARÍA DISPUESTO A PAGAR? 🤔 Esta pregunta me la he repetido a diario, Si perdiera todo: ¿Cuánto estaría dispuesto a pagar para recuperarlo? Preguntarme esto, me ha ayudado a entender el verdadero sentido de la humildad y de la autoridad, palabras que podrían parecer opuestas, pero que para mí son un complemento. 🤝 A muy corta edad aprendí que al universo hay que pedirle con autoridad, definiendo exactamente lo que queremos que suceda. Pero del mismo modo hay que pedirle con humildad, entendiendo que el universo es más grande que nosotros 🌌. Por lo que entre más grande y exclusivo sea nuestro pedido, el precio que nos pedirá pagar será más alto. A mí esto no me preocupa, de hecho me motiva. Me exige. Me ayuda a no caer en la falsa creencia de que “ya lo logré”, por el contrario me recuerda que debo seguir creciendo, aprendiendo y expandiendo mi mente. Uno de los ejemplos que doy es que pedirle al universo, es como pedir en un restaurante exclusivo. Desde el momento en el que te sientas, sabes que tendrás que pagar un alto costo, pero del mismo modo, porque estás dispuesto a pagarlo, sabes que puedes exigir que las cosas salgan tal cual como las has pedido. 🧐 Si pides carne y te traen pescado, puedes exigir con autoridad un cambio. Sin ser arrogante, pero aclarando exactamente lo que tienes en mente y estando dispuesto a pagar el precio que tiene en el menú, por alto que sea. No todas las cosas se pagan con dinero, existe otro tipo de moneda que es el tiempo y el esfuerzo. Esta es la moneda con la que quiero que estemos dispuestos a pagar. “In 2015 the band was playing a stadium in Gothenburg, Sweden. Before the show I did the same thing I always do. Couple of beers, couple shots of Crown Royal, and took a couple Advils. There were 50,000 people, it was a beautiful night and I couldn’t wait to play. We jump out on stage, crowd is going crazy, I’m going crazy. The second song, maybe 8 mins into the show, I go running to one side of this massive stage. I trip over a cable on the stage, fall off and break my leg. 12 foot drop, dislocate my ankle, break one of the bones in my lower leg. Can’t feel anything. So, I tell the audience “I’ll be right back!”. I go off to the side, they put my ankle back in, wrap my leg and we finish the show. Afterward I went to the hospital and had surgery to fix the broken leg. After the tour was over I was doing physical therapy but couldn’t walk for 4 months. I had to walk with crutches, had nothing to do, so our bass player (Nate Mendell, @natemendel) bought me a smoker. I grew up in Virginia and had BBQ my whole life. I also used to have a house in North Carolina and their BBQ is still my favorite. So, I start cooking. What I loved about cooking is the meditative part. When we’re on tour every day you’re moving, every day you have a schedule, responsibilities, and obligations to give people the best show they’ve seen in their life. Namun saya melihatnya, beliau juga hadir dengan hatinya, dengan jiwanya. Ini bukan semata proyek itu, namun sebagai sebuah relasi insani. Kehadirannya begitu human dalam setiap perjumpaan dalam tim. Roger Tullgren became somehow well known in 2007 when he convinced Employment Services in Sweden to classify his addiction to heavy metal music as a disability. Due to this diagnosed condition, he was not able to stop listening to metal or attend shows, and received a pension from the State until 2012. . Three years later, as soon as I heard his story, I traveled to Hässleholm in order to meet him. We talked about metal, darts, to be beaten up and the welfare. Although we planned to make a little movie together, it finally never happened, and sometimes I think about how he might be doing these days. Today is his birthday. . He fought the law and he won. .
