A wonderful synergy between 3 teams @ladi_biosas @daydream_ceramics and @greekartisans is the result of this beautifully made artisanal ceramic line with the name Grecian Blues. We were looking for arty Olive Oil Tasting plates for our Master Olive Tastings and clients. When we expressed our idea to Ceramist Alexandra Nikolakopoulou from @daydream_ceramics and the Team of @greekartisans in the Netherlands a few months ago, they created a special project the Grecian Blues. Alexandra got inspired by the surrealistic freedom of the designs from the Kamares Pottery and Kamaraikos rhythm-style made by the Minoan civilization in Crete island in Greece. What makes the Kamaraikos style very special is the theme of its motifs. For the first time, in the Minoan civilization (3000 B.C to 1450 B.C.), pottery design patterns are completely abstract and depicted, with strong surrealistic tendencies. The Grecian Blues Ceramic Line is an art expression, a commemoration of Greeces abundance of blue shades and a tribute to the Kamaraikos rhythm that blossomed ordinary design pottery into magnificent art forms Homeware in the history of time.
