Taking out that communications base proved to be a damn wise move. After we eliminated the defenders, our technicians back at HQ were able to slice into their database and trace incoming transmissions. It seems they got wind of what we were up to and have switched off all frequencies with the base. Before they shut them down though, we did get some intel of where they have been storing our machines. An abandoned warehouse several clicks south of our position holds the bulk of them and they plan to move them off planet in a few rotations. After getting some additional firepower, being equipped with some BARC speeders, we made our way towards the warehouse. Unfortunately, we were unaware that the pirate scum had laid a trap for us. Apparently one of the base defenders fled to warn the warehouse inhabitants. Made sense why they got word of what we did.
