Ive often heard, nothing good ever happens after 2AM. So go to sleep, and dont do anything stupid. But heres to the people who do not abide by that saying, and mess things up. When youre drunk at 2AM, and you suddenly are reminded of the lover or friend you lost for whom you cried to pulp, you cannot resist the urge to text them and check on them. The sober you would warn you of the consequences, but it was no where to be seen. The carefree you had taken over by then, the one wholl be getting a good scolding from the hungover sober self. You tell them everything youve been holding back, may or may not earning their sympathy. But thats okay. The next morning you wake up tired, and realise the blunder you have made. You want to slap your own self tightly, but something holds you back. Your eyes well up as you see how you admitted the previous night, that life has been miserable for you since they left. May it be for a new lover, or a trivial matter. Whatever forced them to leave, youve not yet coped up with it. You tried, but everything just keeps reminding you of the company they gave you. At last, youve given up and tried to blame alcohol for the whole matter. Yet, it didnt work. They understood youve been missing them, even if youve let your guards up by now. After 2AM, your walls broke. They may or may not have said, theyre sorry for leaving you. They also miss you terribly, but by now they have moved on from what youre struggling to. At times, things get back to being good and they understand their worth and come back. But if circumstances had forced them to leave and they have, theres no way to get them back mate. Not crying and spending sleepless nights, not endless prayers into thin air, not playing their favourite song when they are around. Maybe they havent said it, but carrying a delicate heart like yours can sometimes be hard, especially knowing the worth of it. Days have passed. One fine night, as you walk by the streets, you spot them. They didnt notice you, engrossed in whatever they have been doing. But they are happy, evidently.
