With thunder booming overhead from dark skies I cant see theough the smoke, the last of the winter squash is headed to the garage to get hardened off. Off to pick all red and redish tomatoes... The pumpkins will stay in the field. My elders will have to weather the forcasted hail and heavy rains. Looks like I may not get those berries this year afterall. Lets hope the dry conditions will weather the forecasted lightening. I hope my hemp makes it. #Buckwheat for @Hodmedods coming in... Doesn’t deserve to say it’s “coming in nicely” this year though. Unfortunately the crop is very green. You can see from the third picture just how much seed has been knocked to the ground by the heavy rain we had a few weeks back. Just not an ideal year... At least we have some nice hot weather for the coming few days. This crop will go on one of my ambient blowing floors, max 70cm deep, and be blown overnight tonight and then every day with the hot sun until it drys down to a safe moisture level. Won’t be cheap this year with quite this level of green! There is a double necessity to get this crop off the field though. It is about to be planted with an herbal ley mix, and be adopted into #organic conversion. So the sooner that ley is established, the better! В первую очередь мы выбрали верное направление в части поддержки аграриев при покупке сельхозтехники, увеличив субсидии на эти цели с 15% до 40%. В результате за полгода фермеры смогли приобрести столько же техники, сколько за три предыдущих года. Отдельно ведомство отметило нашу инициативу по поддержке личных подсобных хозяйств на содержание коров в период «большого молока». Правила программы, возможно, потребуют корректировки, у нас есть время сделать это до следующего сезона. Важной частью дальнейшей работы я по-прежнему считаю создание единого бренда местных товаропроизводителей и вывод этого бренда на общероссийские рынки. Работа в этом направлении уже ведется, ряд производителей, с которыми встречались еще весной и в течение лета, уже регистрируют торговые марки. Параллельно готовится онлайн-площадка для продвижения экологически чистой продукции с пометкой «сделано в Чувашии». This Indian summer has made our Autumn veg grow very well. The brassicas were planted under fleece at the begining of August and have escaped the ravages of cabbage white butterflies. We have been cutting Red Russian Kale and lettuce for several weeks already. Late planted runner and dwarf French beans are still harvesting heavily and are just as delicate as mid summer crops. Ernte 2020 ✅ und alles ist Futtergetreide Was bedeutet das? Weizen ist nicht gleich Weizen. Abhängig seiner Inhaltsstoffe wird der Weizen in Brot- oder Futterweizen eingestuft. Wenn der Weizen einen Proteingehalt von mindestens 12 % hat, gilt er als Brotweizen und ist für uns Menschen geeignet. Der Proteingehalt entscheidet über die Backqualität. Je höher der Proteingehalt ist, desto besser sind die Eigenschaften zum Backen. Die Proteingehalte unseres Weizens waren alle unter 12 % und ist somit Futter für Kühe, Schweine und Haustiere. Was beeinflusst den Proteingehalt? Der Proteingehalt im Weizen wird durch die Düngung beeinflusst. Dabei ist die Menge und der Zeitpunkt der Stickstoffdüngung ausschlaggebend. Aber warum werden die Proteingehalte von mindestens 12% nicht erreicht? Durch die Verschärfungen der Düngeverordnung bringen wir weniger Stickstoffdünger aus. Weniger Stickstoff bedeutet auch weniger Nahrung für die Pflanzen und schlechtere Proteingehalte. FAZIT: Woher kommt unser Brotgetreide, wenn wir hier in Deutschland keins mehr produzieren? (Wahrscheinlich wird es importiert. Harvest Birthday Portrait! 🎂 I turned 36 this past weekend and am also celebrating my 10th harvest! I started working for my family grape growing business @warneckeranch in 2010, then bought some fruit in 2012 and started selling SUTRO volcanic wine in 2015. Meanwhile, I lured my then boyfriend Eliot Sutro out of SF and up north, got married in 2013, gave birth to Isabel at home in 2014 and gave birth to Adin at home in 2016. I’ve always wanted to be a mom, I’ve always wanted to live at Warnecke Ranch and make a life here, I’ve always wanted to be an artist.
