. ✔️ همراهان عزیزم سلام. امروز سری می زنیم به محله ی جلفا تا از کلیسای وانک دیدن کنیم. نام این کلیسا برگرفته از نام یه کلیسا تو شهر جلفای ایالت نخجوان کشور آذربایجان به نام سورپ آمنا پرکیچ وانک به معنای صومعه ی نجات دهنده ی مقدس همگان به زبان ارمنیه. ساخت این کلیسا بعد از 50 سال تو سال 1655 میلادی یعنی تو دوران سلطنت شاه عباس دوم صفوی به پایان رسید. . ✔️ پلان این کلیسا به سبک معماری ارمنی طراحی شده و نماش به سبک معماری ایرانی؛ مثلا بیش تر کلیسا های ارمنی کهن با سنگ ساخته شدند ولی این کلیسا با خشت خام بنا شده یا گنبد کلیسا های ارمنی کهن به شکل مخروطه ولی گنبد بزرگ این کلیسا به گنبد مساجد ایرانی دوره ی صفوی شباهت داره. این کلیسا دو تا گنبد داره؛ گنبد کوچک تر روی محل استقرار عوام واقع شده و گنبد بزرگ تر روی محل استقرار اسقفان. از طرفی گنبدخانه ی این کلیسا با طلاکاری و تعداد زیادی نقاشی هنرمندانه با رنگ روغن، به سبک ایتالیایی و با مضمون داستان های انجیل تزئین شده و ازاره هاش هم مزین به کاشی کاری اند. . ✔️ تو سال 1931 یه برج ناقوس سه طبقه روی سردر مجموعه ی کلیسای وانک ساخته شد. تو طبقه ی دوم این برج ناقوس یه ساعت با 300 کیلوگرم وزن قرار گرفته که قطر هر یک از 4 صفحه اش 104 سانتی متره. دو تا برج ناقوس دیگه هم تو جنوب غرب صحن و روی گنبدخانه ی این کلیسا توجه ها رو به خودشون می کنند. . ✔️ مجموعه ی کلیسای وانک که در مجموع 8731 متر مربع مساحت داره، یه کتاب خانه (از سال 1884)، یه موزه (از سال 1905) و یه ساختمان اداری (از دوران سلطنت ناصرالدین شاه قاجار) رو هم تو خودش جا داده که در حال حاضر محل خلیفه گری ارامنه ی اصفهان و جنوب ایرانه. پارسال هم یه موزه ی دیگه به نام موزه ی مردم شناسی ارامنه ی اصفهان به این مجموعه اضافه شد. . ✔️ اولین چاپ خانه ی خاور میانه هم تو سال 1636 تو این مجموعه ساخته شد ولی بعد ها به خاطر آتش سوزی از بین رفت و فقط تعدادی از حروف و قالب هاش باقی موندند که امروزه تو موزه ی این مجموعه ازشون نگهداری می شه. . ✔️ تو صحن کلیسای وانک علاوه بر سنگ قبر چند نفر از اسقفان اعظم ارامنه ی اصفهان و نمایندگانی سیاسی از کشور های اروپایی که تو اصفهان از دنیا رفتند، بنای یادبود کشتار یک و نیم میلیون نفر از ارامنه به دستور حزب ترکان جوان امپراتوری عثمانی تو سال 1915 هم دیده می شه که تو سال 1975 ساخته شده. ارامنه ی اصفهان تو 23 ام آوریل هر سال به یاد از دست رفتگانشون تو این نسل کشی کنار این بنا شمع روشن می کنند. - @mohammadaminhabibi on Instagram

October is Canadian Library Month 📚! What could be more representative than Canada’s Library, the Library of Parliament, opened in 1876? In honour of the Library, and of Library Month, we wanted to share this amazing photo from our collection that was taken during the construction of the Library’s domed roof – the first of its kind anywhere in North America. The wrought iron dome, pre-fabricated by Thomas Fairbairn Engineering Co. Ltd. of Manchester, England, was completed in just a few short weeks and assembled in situ. The city of Jerusalem, from a fifteenth-century French translation of Buchard of Mount Sions Descriptio Terrae Sanctae (Description of the Holy Land). Buchard was a thirteenth-century monk who travelled to the Kingdom of Jerusalem before its eventual collapse in 1291, and also to Armenia, Cyprus, and Egypt. His text survives in over 100 manuscript copies and was translated into French by Jean Mielot for Philip the Good, the Duke of Burgundy, in the mid-fifteenth century. This exceptionally finely illuminated manuscript is the presentation copy owned by Philip himself (his coat of arms features on f. 1r and 2r), and was made in Oudenaarde in Flanders between 1455 and 1467. The Al-Askari shrine, located in Samarra, is a remarkable example of Iraq’s ancient Islamic architecture. The shrine was built in 944 and is one of Iraqs four holiest Shia mosques. The dome of the mosque was completed in 1905 and was covered by 72,000 golden pieces. The shrine was heavily damaged by massive bombings carried out by two separate terrorist attacks in 2006 and 2007. Когда всевышний распределял земли между народами сотворенного им мира, узбек скромно стоял в стороне и пропускал вперед всех остальных. Когда он остался последним в очереди, господь сказал: «Дитя мое, ты оказался поистине щедрым душой, но земля у меня кончилась! Но не грусти – вместо земли я подарю тебе кусочек Рая». Именно эту легенду о том, как на Земле появился райский уголок, мне рассказали в Узбекистане, уточнив, что речь в ней идет именно о Самарканде, ставшем вторым по значимости городом современного Узбекистана. А так как находился я в этот момент на площади Регистан, в самом центре Самарканда (столицы древней Согдианы), то спорить не было ни причин, ни смысла, тем более что уже тогда я был уверен, что не только сам приеду сюда еще раз, но и расскажу о нем в журнале. Площадь Регистан – настоящая гордость восточной архитектуры. На протяжении многих веков ее ансамбль служил центром культурной и общественной жизни Средней Азии: здесь устраивали шумные праздники, торговые ярмарки и провожали воинов на ратные подвиги. И спустя сотни лет Узбекистан не изменяет традициям: в этом году в величественной атмосфере исторического комплекса Регистан состоялся 12-й Международный музыкальный фестиваль «Шарк тароналари», или «Мелодии Востока»: шоу собрало настоящий калейдоскоп культурных традиций со всех уголков мира и за годы проведения заслужило титул одного из самых престижных форумов искусств в мире. Древние минареты и медресе, озаренные всеми цветами радуги, звездное небо над старинным амфитеатром, яркие национальные костюмы и, разумеется, неповторимые мелодии карнаев и сурнаев – более аутентичную атмосферу и придумать сложно. Праздник музыки и танцев, воспевание великих традиций и уникального культурного наследия каждого народа – это то, чем отметится фестиваль 2019 года, на который собрались артисты и творческие коллективы из 47 стран мира. It was our first wedding Anniversary which we decided to spend in Agra.. to spend our special day at the Taj Mahal.. Taj Mahal is not just a monument, but a symbol of love. We wondered how someone could love their beloved so much that their dedication to them became one of the wonders of the world. I found the Taj Mahal as the most appropriate example of artistically expressed love.. it was not my first visit to the Taj.. but to visit with the love of my life.. I fell in love with the Taj.. We enjoyed our Day appreciating the beautiful art.. the engravings.. the designs.. Lets take a break from Morocco and go a little north, back to where Europe and Asia meet. Hagia Sophia is one of my favorite attractions in Istanbul (more than the Blue Mosque), with its uniqueness of formerly being both a church and a mosque at different times. It was then declared a museum open to all. As you walk through, youll see inscriptions from both religious faiths that have been preserved in one central place. Most recently, Turkey decided to convert this back to a mosque. - @travaleeza on Instagram

Old Delhi street Photograph, Jama Masjid in Background – c1910 History of Jama Masjid : The Masjid-i Jehan Numa (lit. the World-reflecting Mosque or Mosque of the Celestial Sphere; Persian: مسجد جامع دهلی), commonly known as the Jama Masjid of Delhi, is one of the largest mosques in India.It was built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan between 1650 and 1656 at a cost of one million rupees, and was inaugurated by Imam Syed Abdul Ghafoor Shah Bukhari from Bukhara, present-day Uzbekistan. The mosque was completed in 1656 AD with three great gates and two 40 metres high minarets constructed with strips of red sandstone and white marble. The courtyard can accommodate more than 25000 people. There are three domes on the terrace which are surrounded by the two minarets. On the floor, a total of 899 black borders are marked for worshippers. The architectural plan of Badshahi Masjid, built by Shah Jahans son Aurangzeb at Lahore, Pakistan, is similar to the Jama Masjid. The Majestic Mosque for Indian Muslims is considered as the National Mosque of India respectively.
