(2/3) Y es que, Pau, no se estar enamorado, enamorado de la música. Pero es escucharte, verte, leerte… y ¡Ay, mamá!, me cambia la piel y se abre un nuevo camino hacia el corazón cargado de emociones. Pero como le cuente esto a Almudena voy a llevármela leve. Leve no, fue peor. “Y ahora, ¿qué hacemos? Menudo desamor. Jo, Almu, ¡te miro y tiemblo! Eres de siempre, nunca, nada”. La lié parda. Me gritó: “Escucha con atención lo que te voy a decir. Tú no sabes quién soy. Avisa a tu madre que duermes con ella”. Desde entonces vivo en un saco. ¿Realidad o sueño? Al final se pudo arreglar, tranquilo Pau. Sólo tuve que rogar: “Duerme conmigo, hice mal algunas cosas pero no soy un bicho. Dejo mi mundo en tu mano”. Me gané su ¡Olé! y me dejó grabar un video mientras se iba al dormitorio musitando: “¡Déjame vivir!” Así que para ir adelantando te diré que ahora toca mi canción porque esto no es un video, es casi una colaboración. Me vine arriba durante la composición de este tema. Mi mantra fue: “Qué coño, ¡no escondas tu corazón!” Y es que Pau, hay dos días en la vida para los que no nací, y uno de ellos era el de no felicitarte. Por eso estoy aquí. Gracias por la luz de tu corazón, amigo. Después de todo lo que has pasado en el lado oscuro, te mereces estar agustito con la vida. Has encontrado la salida del bosque de Palo y en ningún momento le entregaste un “quítame la vida” a las valkirias de la armonía. Llegaste a la plaza de las palmeras, casi como un perro apaleao, pero recordaste las luces que viste en Tijuana, aquellas que te hicieron viajar en el tiempo y plantarte en el verano del 96, cuando deambulabas entre las barcas de alguna playa de Barcelona, escribiendo en la arena un “estamos prohibidos” pensando en el futuro incierto de Jarabe de Palo, mientras te acompañaba, a lo lejos, Bob Marley y su No Woman, No Cry. Dirás, Pau: “Mira como viene el Christian, no es momento de sentimentalismos. ¡A bailar que empieza el concierto!” Y a mí, que me gusta más bien poco bailar, antes de decir adiós te escribo aquello de que aún no me toca. It is with great sadness that I make this post. a HAsh church Alumni is no longer with us ....Saybian Morgan also known as Horatio Delbert passed away on August 31 as a result of unrecoverable brain trauma. We know he touched many hearts and minds and it is with great sadness we make this announcement. The world will profoundly miss his presence. His family now find themselves in significant financial distress as he was the sole provider. Due to multiple life circumstances beyond their control, are forced to sell their home to cover outstanding debts and move across country where all extended family and friends live. For anyone who knew Saybian, he was a man of deep faith and tremendous intellect and found it exceedingly difficult to ask for help so it is with significant humility this request for assistance is being made. *NEW SENIOR HEAD COACH ANNOUNCMENT* Burntwood RUFC are delighted to announce the appointment of Steve Harris as Senior Head Coach for the 2020/21 Season. Steve was born and raised in Burntwood, attending Chase Terrace and playing his rugby for Lichfield, Birmingham Moseley, Staffs and Midlands before leaving for America aged 20. Out there he continued his playing career in the American National Leagues, and finishing at Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Steve has been involved in coaching over in America for over 15 years, starting off as assistant backs/skills coach before moving into head coach roles across Florida with both senior and junior ages. In recent years Steve secured a place at the premiership rugby scholarship for USA coaches which he spent significant time with Geordan Murphy and Rob Baxter to name a few. “I’m really excited for the opportunity to coach my home town club and it’s great to be back on English soil. That post-quarantine beard trim smile. 😁 . @mrmarckelly wanted to stand in solidarity with my clients during quarantine so he refused any offers for a beard trim. Then, as the universe would have it, he has gratefully been booked solid on set as soon as phase 3 began. I finally got him to sit still for 30 minutes and had to cut a fair amount off due to friction damage from wearing his mask + the humidity every day. 😩 . I think if you had told me a year or two ago that I’d feel the way I do right now, about life, about skateboarding and about myself in general, I wouldnt have believed you for one second. Things have been far from ‘perfect’ (whatever that is meant to mean) for the last few years. I’d lost my identity, made some big mistakes and plastered over the cracks with all the wrong fillers. It’s taken me a little while to find an authentic version of myself again and to admit that my identity is intrinsically linked to the four-wheeled-plank and many of the things that revolve around that. Like a lot of you that suffer from various forms of depression and anxiety, I hid away because I felt like a burden and I didn’t trust myself to not accidentally push people away further. I have pushed some people away and I’m making some amends to those folks as I am able. I’m also glad I am able to speak about this stuff because, as has been proved to me recently, there are very many of you feeling very similar things. I think helping people to feel like they are not alone in their struggle is just the beginning of the conversation we are now having. I’m glad I stuck around to see this version of myself and I hope that that is in some way inspiring to anyone who is finding it difficult to believe things can get better. They can; I absolutely promise you. It might not be easy or quick, but it is possible. I’ve had help from lots of my old friends, and support, reassurance and advice from many new ones. One person, above all others has gotten me to this place. @phil.hill.talks was patient with me and was able to use their own struggle to help me with mine, the way I hope I can help others. Thank you Phil, without you, I don’t believe I’d be here to tell this part of the story 😘 I still don’t have consistently good days and I feel like I fail regularly but I do now know that this smile is possible and authentic and that being authentic is the best anyone can ever hope or dream for in this life. What time is it?? It’s infusion time!! 💪 I live with something called #MS (Multiple Sclerosis). MS could also mean “many scars.” It is an auto-immune disease of the central nervous system. Lesions and damage on the brain, and also throughout the spine, caused by attacks from my own immune system. It’s unpredictable, and each person can be affected with vastly different symptoms. More than not though, it’s immobility. Part of my current regimen is to receive a disease modifying therapy at the hospital every month. This is to hopefully help stave off future attacks and damage from occurring. 🤞 The hours spent each month infusing gives me time to pause and reflect upon the blessings I have, which are abundant. Not upon my disabilities... but upon my abilities; not the things I can’t do... but upon the things I still CAN do. And as I do so, I find my cup is overflowing. Despite the unseen daily challenges, which are prevalent, I recognize that I am living an absolute miracle. No question. Just being out of my wheelchair and moving without assistance alone is a perspective I wish I could gift to everyone. Thank you @valerieosmond for being by my side and my rock since day #1. A whole week with Ro. Just me and him, father and son, while @portiajett was on her much deserved holidays. Wanted to post a nice pic of us two, til I realised I didn’t take any 😂 I did find this one though... it’s me blending into the sofa at 11.35 on Wednesday night, pram and schoolbag ready for nursery the next day, dinners cooked and kitchen cleaned, 6.30am alarm looming but still with 2 hours of life admin to complete and seriously considering cancelling all our plans for the rest of the week so I could find some sleep.. somewhere! Just SHATTERED!!!!!! So glad I didn’t cancel those plans. Ro and I have had the BEST week, can honestly say I’ve not had a week like it in his nearly 3 years. Could’ve cried multiple times just looking at my son and him looking at me in a way we’ve never been able to before. So incredibly proud of my boy. I tell him every day 🥰 he’s been a utter legend all week, I couldn’t have asked for a better boy. And truth is, this week HASN’T been overwhelming, it hasn’t been “testing” or “too much”. I’d actually do it all over again tomorrow. I’m just TIRED!!! 😂😂😂 seriously I thought there weren’t enough hours in the day before, but bloody hell!!! WHEN DO YOU SLEEP???
