Funny thing about photos people post. You never truly know the intent. Before you judge remember, we are all going through something. I had a lot of personal “stuff” 10/18-present. I isolated myself from people and being social to avoid having to talk about it. Getting out with the girls Sunday was a struggle, but I knew I needed to get out of my “comfort zone” and be me again. I sure did and then some! I am blessed to have such an AMAZING “family” @crossfitwildcf and such a powerful group of women who get me to open up more every day. Twenty (20) years ago today was the start of four fantastic days volunteering at the #sydney2000 Olympic Canoe Slalom event at @penrith_whitewater 💦 With a sold out stadium crowd each day, the atmosphere was electric⚡as the worlds best #canoeslalom athletes chased their Olympic dreams. The racing was exciting and we were fortunate to literally be amongst the action, myself as a member of the Water Safety Team and Deb as an Athlete Liaison ... seeing first hand the paddling skills of legends such as Tony Estanguet 🇫🇷 Michal Martikan 🇸🇰 Stepanka Hilgertova 🇨🇿 and the talented Hochschorner brothers 🇸🇰 in the C2. Ten years ago today, I bought my first longboard, a 47 inch Sector 9 pintail. Since that day. I’ve ridden my skateboard in 2 countries, 16 states, and have put in countless miles. My life changed from the minute I stepped on that pintail, and I can’t be more thankful for it. What started as watching longboard videos to procrastinate from a school project got me to be the 2nd ranked Jr. downhill skateboarder in the world (2014.) I’ve made more friends than I count, and been to so many gorgeous places, all because of a skateboard. I couldn’t have been more happy to spend this weekend at Skate the Cape, celebrating the joy of skateboarding, and taking a win on the eve of my 10 year anniversary. I also generously thank EVERYONE who supported me over this past decade, such as @originalskateboards @reytrucksofficial @pushculture and especially those still supporting me today such as @loadedboards @orangatangwheels @actionboardshop I thank all of you for making this a decade of my life to remember ❤️ I’ve posted 10 photos, one from every year.
