• Wild wild west •⁣⁠ 🇬🇧 ⁣⁠Located in the Mojave Desert, Calico is a small ghost town a few miles from Barstow and a must see for the Old West lovers.⁠ .⁠ Founded in 1881, Calico grew quickly after the discovery of various deposits of silver, borax and gold. Over the years, it has come to have up to 1200 citizens, 500 mines and 22 saloons. The title “Shadow of the Eternal” refers to the saguaro cactus, a monolith on the desert landscape that lives for long enough to see it’s background change over time. Que son las alacitas? Por que hay esa creencia? A continuación te lo detallo en one: 🎊La feria de las alacitas se realiza en el mes de mayo en la región sur del Perú (también encuentras ferias en Tacna, Arequipa, Moquegua y Puno) y también en Bolivia, se trata que tu puedes comprar tu casa, tu carro, tu titulo, billetes de la fortuna, todo lo puedes conseguir allí, pero tienes que hacerlo con mucha fe para que se cumpla, parece loco verdad? Pero por que no intentarlo? Quien sabe a largo plazo se cumple 😉 la creencia Indica que tienes que ir por tres años consecutivos (yo en mi bolsita compre mis alacitas y hasta vamos bien #ConFe ) 😊 🏞En la ciudad de Juliaca tiene que subir el cerro Huaynaroque, llegar a la cima donde esta el Cristo, allí bendicen tus alacitas y antes de bajar, alquilarte un pequeño espacio del cerro y tratar de construir tu casita con las piedritas de allí, rocearlo de cerveza negra (challarlo) con mucha felicidad. NIÑEZ Y JUVENTUD EN LA MEMORIA. No olvidamos, no perdonamos. El 11 de septiembre de 1973, se efectúa una de las dictaduras más crueles y sangrientas de Latinoamérica, el golpe de Estado en Chile protagonizado por la extrema derecha y las FFAA, trajo como consecuencias, miles de desaparecidos/as y torturados/as. Si bien, han pasado 47 años de este oscuro periodo, las heridas y secuelas aún perduran hasta el día de hoy. Sobre todo, en las niñas, niños y adolescentes, que son omitidos en la historia oficial y que, de igual manera, fueron objeto de la opresión del régimen. Muchxs de ellxs siendo víctimas de crímenes de lesa humanidad. Fueron detenidxs, torturados y desaparecidos. La infancia y adolescencia fue condenada por la dictadura a vivir bajo la violencia y represión sistemática, debiendo crecer en la cruda pobreza. Entre lacrimógenas y gritos de tiranía se llevaron a sus padres, madres y familiares, para ser detenidos, torturados, asesinados y muchxs de ellos, desaparecidos por la CNI o DINA, propiciando así la construcción de la criminal institución del SENAME, donde cientos de niñxs y adolescentes fueron derivados a sus centros, donde la violencia continúo entre cuatro paredes. Existieron más de 7500 casos de adopciones ilegales facilitados por estas instrucciones, donde también se cometieron abusos físicos, psicológicos y sexuales. Otro lugar donde se cometieron abusos de toda índole contra niñxs y adolescentes fue Colonia Dignidad, un centro de detención edificado por el nazi Paul Shaffer, en complicidad con Pinochet y las Fuerzas Militares. La infancia y adolescencia en dictadura no solo tuvo que crecer entre los fusiles y el hambre, sino que también se les arrebató el cariño, la identidad, y su libertad. Six years ago, against most everyones advice, we began negotiating on a dilapidated property that had been abandoned decades ago. Nestled at the foot of the Gutturu Mannu mountain chain, Is Aresus was a cluster of ruins and overgrowth. Eventually, with the help and sweat and dedication of local architects Casciu/Rango, we made it our home. Were only halfway through the project, and so it was an honor to discover that our headquarters was the winner of the National Institute of Architecture (In/Arch) Prize for Best Project by Young Architects developed in the region of Sardinia over the last five years. In their elegant and succinct explanation, the judges write that this project through a contemporary interpretation of the themes of the territorys tradition [...proposes...] to requalify and simultaneously confer new meaning on the typical rural architecture of Santadi. Em Pernambuco, a criação clandestina de gado dentro da terra indígena Pankakuru levou o MPF a pedir a apreensão dos animais. Para o MPF, a permanência indevida do rebanho é uma violação dos direitos indígenas ao usufruto exclusivo dos bens naturais da área. A pastagem na área cultivada pelos Pankararu destrói o plantio e inviabiliza o desenvolvimento da agricultura de subsistência. Além disso, gera temor de tentativa de reocupação da área e prejuízo à comunidade. A Justiça Federal concedeu liminar para a apreensão de gado bovino, caprino e outros animais não pertencentes aos indígenas. Na última semana, nove animais foram apreendidos. A destinação é o Centro de Controle de Zoonoses de Serra Talhada. Caso os donos não se manifestem em até cinco dias a partir da data da apreensão, o gado será considerado abandonado e ficará sob responsabilidade do município de Serra Talhada, conforme prevê a legislação municipal. A área localiza-se entre os municípios pernambucanos de Tacaratu, Petrolândia e Jatobá. As apreensões estão sendo feitas mediante ação coordenada entre a Fundação Nacional do Índio (Funai) e a Polícia Rodoviária Federal (PRF). Na ação civil pública, o MPF argumentou que, desde o início do processo de desintrusão da área, os antigos posseiros, em represália, vêm promovendo ameaças, danos patrimoniais e atentados de cunho racista contra a comunidade e cultura indígena. O processo judicial para reintegração de posse da terra Pankararu teve início em 1993 e a decisão final saiu há cerca de 20 anos, não cabendo mais recurso. Antigua central térmica 💧🌚🚂 📍Aliaga 📸 @ja_ju_el 📂 La central térmica de Aliaga fue la primera fábrica en generar energía eléctrica por medio de carbón que creo Eléctricas Reunidas de Zaragoza, hoy Endesa, en España, inaugurándose en 1952. Al principio la central se suministraba con las minas de la zona pero al final se agotaron y eso encareció los costes al tener que transportar el carbón a la central desde minas más lejanas. En el año 1982 cesó la actividad definitivamente, ya que para la empresa eléctrica era más rentable quemar el carbón en las centrales de Escucha y Andorra, que ya estaban en funcionamiento. En 2016 después de tanto tiempo abandonada, se ha propuesto su restauración y conservación con el objetivo de crear un museo sobre el ciclo del carbón y lugar de actividades culturales. ‼️ Desde la presa se inicia el barranco Hoz Mala o Tosca que apenas tiene aproximación (3/4km) y que finaliza en el molino de la Tosca . Además es el más largo y acuático de la zona de Aliaga. La semana pasada estuvimos nuevamente en el bosque de Santiago analizando y monitoreando la población de rana africana, durante diciembre comenzaremos otra fase donde se realizará eutanasia de los individuos mediante un nuevo protocolo en el que estaremos trabajando, considerando el bienestar animal de estos anfibios. Recuerda que no por ser una especie exótica debe sentir dolor y sufrir. Agradecemos enormemente a la Dra. Ivette Silva que nos apoyará en la creación de este protocolo, como también agradecemos a @cisunab por el valioso préstamo de trampas que permitirán realizar capturas mucho más exitosas. ~termas de Papallacta~ • 🇪🇨 Papallacta es una ciudad chiquita en los Andes ecuatorianos. En esta foto se ve muy lindo el volcán Tungurahua atrás y adelante la silueta del edificio de las termas de Papallacta. Ahí hay un lugar bonito con varias piscinas de aguas termales calientes  para relajarse. Además no solo en la noche sino también en el día hay una hermosa vista de la naturaleza y por supuesto el volcán. • • • 🇩🇪 Papallacta ist eine kleine Statd in der Nähe der Stadt Baños. Daher sieht man auf diesem Bild auch sehr schön hinten den Vulkan Tungurahua und vorne die Silhouette des Gebäudes der Termen von Papallacta. Dort findet man einen schönen Ort vor, an dem es verschiedene Schwimmbecken mit heißem Termalwasser hat um sich zu entspannen. The fire is essentially out here in the Yakima Canyon, and we expect the highway and floating to reopen tomorrow. The fire crews are still monitoring a few of the warm spots, but there is no flame and almost no smoke being generated by our local fire here. Further into Eastern Washington, which is very dry and essentially a desert, has some nasty fires still burning. Thankfully today the wind has laid down and we hope and pray the fires are encountering some natural fire breaks. The Eagles Nest Pine Tree (in photo) just upstream from Reds, wich has had nesting bald eagles for nearly 20 years was spared. The fire burned up to the railroad tracks and we are really grateful it didnt torch all of the riparian zones. Gratefully we are seeing a lot of unburned islands of sagebrush, grass, and many of the pines and other small bushes survived. LAcadémie des beaux-arts accueillera du 28 octobre au 29 novembre 2020 l#exposition L’Odeur de la nuit était celle du jasmin de FLORE, lauréate 2018 du Prix de #Photographie Marc Ladreit de Lacharrière en partenariat avec l’Académie des beaux-arts. @florephotographe est une artiste franco-espagnole née en 1963. Après Lointains souvenirs sa première série autour de l’adolescence de Marguerite Duras, FLORE continue à inventer photographiquement une Indochine mythifiée. Elle propose ici un voyage dans le temps et agrandit le monde d’espaces insoupçonnés, en saisissant quelque chose qui n’a pas nécessairement existé mais dont on accepte le postulat, cette vie qui aurait été vécue il y a presque 100 ans et que Marguerite Duras raconte dans ses livres. Cette exposition sera constituée d’une soixantaine de tirages argentiques réalisés par l’artiste en chambre noire, teintés au thé et cirés, dont des héliogravures, ainsi que des pièces uniques sur feuille d’or. Le commissariat de cette exposition sera assuré par Sylvie Hugues. Heres a newly renovated William Krisel designed home. (Model 14-A) About 3 - 4 were constructed and easily identified by their distinctive array of open air beams that allows light to drench the front of the home in all directions. 14As were designed with sunwell glass walled bathrooms which act like mini atriums next to the tub to let natural light into the inner parts of the home. They also were designed with sliding glass front doorways once the resident passed through the front patio gate. Carrizo Plain Conservancy was awarded a $2000 grant from REI to support removal of old, non-functional fences within Carrizo Plain National Monument. This work has been ongoing for several years, and recently has been led by a partner nonprofit organization, Los Padres Forest Watch (LPFW). Thank you REI for your gracious support of the conservation effort in Carrizo Plain National Monument, which seeks to eliminate old, non-functional and sometimes hazardous barbed wire fences which are a relic of past farming practices there, but which today are a danger to wildlife and to people. The REI grant will be used to further the removal effort primarily with volunteers, probably this fall, when we hope that the COVID-19 restrictions on gatherings will be gone or at least relaxed. In October 2017, we partnered with LPFW and volunteers to remove a significant length of old fencing on a property near Soda Lake which we had purchased and donated to the Monument. El Programa de Control Oficial en Frambuesas de Exportación implementado por el SAG, tiene como objetivo verificar la aptitud de consumo humano (inocuidad), además de conocer la trazabilidad a lo largo de la cadena de producción y comercialización de frambuesas de exportación. En él se establecen requisitos a los distintos participantes de la cadena productiva cuyo fin sea la exportación, verificando su cumplimiento mediante auditorías de proceso.
