A true survivor of WW2 a real Sturmgeschutz Ausfuhrung G. It was built in 1944 at Alkett (Altmärkische Kettenwerk GmbH) in Berlin. This example was purchased from the Finnish army and had a five year restoration to its 1944 German condition, including the Schurzen anti bazooka shields. It is all one tank,not made up from scrap pieces, all the mechanical drive system and ZF gearbox are rebuilt original pieces. The unreliable Maybach engine has been replaced with a 1940s GMC V12 11 litre petrol engine. This gives the same power,sound and smell but can be used as needed as spares are easily available. We have access to an original to rebuilt Maybach engine if needed and still available. It has a Zimmerit coating and the correct three colour camo. Marked from a photo of a Stug at Arnhem battle. Its gun comes with a deactivation certificate but the tank can also be supplied with a live gun if desired. As accessories it comes with its original radio equipment and original big ear binoculars. TANK DESTROYER NASHORN (BADAK) • Nashorn adalah satu model tank destroyer Jerman yang dikembangkan untuk menjawab kebutuhan mendesak Jerman akan senjata antitank yang lebih baik lagi. Seperti telah disebutkan bahwa Wehrmacht sempat mengalami pukulan berat di medan perang Rusia dengan kehadiran tank-tank Uni Soviet T-34 dan KV1. Tank Destroyer yang sudah ada seperti Panzerjäger I maupun Marder sama sekali belum bisa memadai. Meskipun Marder telah dilengkapi dengan meriam 75 mm, tetap saja tidak cukup efektif untuk menghadapi KV-1. Untuk dapat melumpuhkan KV-1 dari jarak aman minimal harus menggunakan meriam 88 mm. Dan oleh karena inilah, tank destroyer model baru dengan meriam 88 mm mulai diproduksi. Nashorn mulai didesain pada bulan Oktober 1942. Produksi secara massal baru dibulai pada awal tahun 1943. Nashorn memiliki nama resmi 8.8 cm PaK 43 (L/71) auf Fahrgestell Panzerkampfwagen III/IV (Sf). Model baru ini diberi nama julukan/panggilan Nashorn atau yang berarti Badak atas perintah dari Adolf Hitler. Sekilas, memang tidak ada perbedaan yang terlalu mencolok dari penampilan luar Nashorn dengan Marder selain meriam 88 mm dan chassis Panzer III dan Panzer IV yang digunakan. Nashorn berada di kesatuan lapis baja Jerman dalam Batalion Antitank Berat (Schewerer Panzerjäger Abteilungen) 560, 655, 525, 93, 519 dan 88. Tiap-tiap Batalion memiliki 30 hingga 45 unit Nashorn. Dan, seperti telah disebutkan sebelumnya bahwa meriam 88 mm adalah salah satu senjata antitank terbaik yang pernah dimiliki Jerman. Nashorn dapat menghancurkan sebuah T-34 dari jarak 1500 meter (kurang lebih 1 mil). Kualitas Nashorn telah teruji dengan baik dalam medan perang Kursk, yang merupakan medan perang tank paling akbar dalam sejarah Perang Dunia II. Kelemahan Nashorn yaitu pelindung yang tidak terlalu kuat, namun dapat ditutupi dengan kemampuannya menghancurkan kendaraan tempur lawan dari jarak yang cukup jauh. The StuG: A new concept in warfare ___ “One of only a handful of the brand new StuG III to see service in the West, this dusty StuG III Ausf. A shows the scars of combat on its frontal armour. By the size of the holes, possibly an anti-tank rifle. Location unknown, May/June 1940. ___ In May of 1940, during Operation ‘Fall Gelb’, a new concept made his debut on the battlefield: The Sturmartillerie (Assault Artillery). The Germans called it the Sturmgeschütz (literally Assault Gun), or StuG for shorts. In its early versions it was designed specifically to help infantry deal with hard points such as bunkers, mg nests and fortified positions. Its low silhouette, 50 mm of frontal armor, and 75mm low velocity gun packing HE rounds made it a formidable opponent against any infantry position. ___ The first StuG to enter combat belonged to 16.Sturmbatterie, assigned to the ‘Großdeutschland’ Infanterie-Regiment. On the 10th of May, at the French village of Villers, 20 miles west from Luxembourg, II.Batallion found the place occupied by French cavalry. The French stood their ground and a heated firefight followed. In the meantime, I.Batallion, with the Sturmbatterie attached, arrived at the scene. The call was heard for the first time: ‘Sturmbatterie to the front!’ ___ The action, partially transcribed: ‘The third platoon dashed forward; its leader, Lt. Franz standing erect in the turret of his command vehicle, followed closely by StuG Nr.5 and 6. The platoon found no resistance until arriving at the center of town where it received heavy mg fire. The platoon leader answered this fire with his MP (machine-pistol). Cruiser MK 1 A9 light tank Cruiser tank Mk 1 adalah sebuah tank jelajah ringan buatan inggris pada awal perang dunia 2. Asal muasal tank ini berawal dari tahun 1936, dimana kantor perang inggris menetapkan dua jenis tank untuk pengembangan masa depan. Tank infanteri, digunakan dalam kerja sama erat dengan infanteri selama serangan. Tank jelajah cepat yang dirancang untuk melakukan perampokan jauh ke dalam wilayah musuh. Pada tahun 1934 perusahaan vickers armstrong diminta menyediakan tank yang murah. Desain dikenal dengan spesifikasi staf umum A9. Model contoh desain tank selesai pada tahun 1936 dan diberi nama A9E1. Tank ini menggabungkan beberapa fitur seperti turret yang terletak di tengah. Ditenagai mesin bensin komersial dan permukaan lapis baja banyak berbentuk vertikal. Kompartemen pengemudi dan tempur tidak dipisahkan dan ada dua menara kecil di kedua sisi kompartemen pengemudi. A9E1 diuji dengan desain tank lain dan berhasil bertahan sebagai juara dan diterima untuk diproduksi pada tahun 1937. 125 tank dipesan oleh tentara inggris. Namun semenjak datang panzer IV ausf E pistolnya tidak terlalu efektif lagi. Meskipun efektif tank ini begitu rentan dengan senjata anti tank musuh dan treknya pun memiliki masalah mekanis yang serius apalagi kebanyakan pelat bajanya tipis dan datar sehingga mudah ditembus. Pada tahun 1940, M2A4 memasuki jalur produksi dan pada bulan Maret 1941 produksi dihentikan demi tank M3 Stuart yang lebih baik. M2 sendiri hanya dibuat sebanyak 696 unit saja. M2A1 memiliki turret satu orang yang diisi senapan Browning M1919 kaliber 12,7mm dan 7,62mm coaxial. M2A2 memiliki menara senapan mesin ganda, sementara varian M2A3 memiliki peningkatan dalam hal lapis baja dan suspensi. M2A4 memakai meriam 37mm untuk menggantikan Brwoning M1919 12,7mm. Desain umum lambung, turret, trek, suspensi VVSS dengan sprocket penggerak depan dan idler belakang. Inggris memesan 100 tank ringan M2A4, namun karena pengenalan tank M3 Stuart menyebabkan pesanan dibatalkan. Hanya 36 unit saja yang dikirim dan hanya digunakan untuk pelatihan. Dalam layanan dinas dengan Amerika tank ini pun hanya digunakan sebagai pelatihan juga. “A US paratrooper inspects the impact damage on a knocked-out Sherman Firefly along ‘Hell’s Highway’ during Operation Market Garden, 1944. ___ The Sherman Firefly was a tank used by the United Kingdom and some Commonwealth and Allied armoured formations in the Second World War. It was based on the US M4 Sherman but fitted with the powerful 3-inch (76.2 mm) calibre British 17-pounder anti-tank gun as its main weapon. Originally conceived as a stopgap until future British tank designs came into service, the Sherman Firefly became the most common vehicle mounting the 17-pounder in the war. ___ During the war, the British Army made extensive use of Sherman tanks. Though they expected to have their own tank models developed soon, the previously rejected idea of mounting the 17-pounder in the existing Sherman was eventually accepted, despite initial government resistance. This proved fortunate, as both the Cruiser Mk VIII Challenger and Cruiser Mk VIII Cromwell tank designs experienced difficulties and delays. ___ After the difficult problem of getting such a large gun to fit in the Shermans turret was solved, the Firefly was put into production in early 1944, in time to equip Field Marshal Montgomerys 21st Army Group for the Normandy landings. El M26 Pershing fue un tanque de peso medio/pesado, creado por los estados unidos y usado en la segunda guerra mundial y en corea, y el nombre fue dado por el comandante John J. Pershing . La Producción fue desde 1945- inicios de 1950 Con un peso de 41 toneladas . Longitud de 8,6m (contando el cañon) Ancho de 3,5m y altura de 2,8m . Tripulación de 5 ( comandante, cargador, artillero, conductor y el wn al lado del conductor ) . El blindaje de la torreta era en el matelaete con 114mm, el frente de la torreta con 104mm, y los lados de 76mm. Y en el casco dle tanque el frontal tenía 100mm y los lados desde 51mm hasta 76mm . En el armamento contaba con un cañón M3 de 90mm con 70 proyectiles, una ametralladora antiaérea con 550 balas y 2 ametralladoras ligeras con 5000 blas . ahora weas que no entiendo Motor Ford GAF V-8, 8 cilindros de gasolina con peso potencia de 11,9/10,6 cv/t Las velocidades eran entre 40km/h en carretera y 10km/h en el campo y una autonomía de 160km y suspensión de barra de torsión 😎 Ahora unos datitos piolas En la segunda guerra mundial solo se mandaron 20 tanques en enero de 1945, pero se uso más en corea donde demostró ser mejor que el T 34-85 con blindaje, poder de fuego pero carecian de movilidad necesaria y adema era poco fiable - @estados_.unidos.de_america on Instagram
