MEET THE TEAM - TESS GRACE 📸➡️ Tess is an architectural graduate who studied in Brisbane, and moved back to Townsville after finishing her studies to enjoy the more relaxed lifestyle. Tess is currently studying to sit the Architectural Practice Examination, and if successful, hopes to register as an architect in the coming months. Juggling study and work with a little one can be tricky at times, but she loves sharing stories of her work with her son Ollie, who is particularly fascinated with concrete mixers. Tess is looking forward to travelling again soon, so that she can tick off a few more of her buildings and cities from her bucket list. Some of her favourites shes managed to visit so far include La Sagrada Familia in Spain, Tokyos Nagakin Capsule Tower and the Colosseum in Rome. Our operations team member Jacob is our newest team member and we couldnt be more excited to have him on board. Some of you might know Jacob from his stints as the Kitchen Manager for @thedumplingladyclt or as Chef de Partie at @bardorestaurant Jacob is a man of many skills with previous experiences as a military police officer, a volunteer at the Idlewild Fire Department, and a kitchen assistant at Sur La Table. Day to day Jacob can be found receiving products from our farmers, being Freshlists handyman, and fulfilling both restaurant and retail orders. Time to meet Angie from our team in Kamloops and learn about her time at Natures Fare Markets: N: When and where did you start at Nature’s Fare Markets? A: In July of 2019, I started working in the Vitamin Department at the Kamloops location. I also coordinate events and product demonstrations for our store. N: What is your favourite team perk? A: I love the staff product training sessions. I always learn so much and feel I can be of more assistance to our customers because of them. N: What product are you currently raving about? A: There a few favourites, but the one that is at the top of my list right now is the @myironvegan Pink Lemonade Amino Octane. I call this my “Go Juice” I drink it before every ride in the mountains, keeps my hydrated with electrolytes, vasodilator for more oxygen and repairs muscle so I’m not sore the next day… my go to drink. N: What Core Value resonates with you most and why? A: Having Fun, we believe that having fun at work is essential to our well being. We appreciate the little things in life, and we applaud laughter, humour, and a positive outlook. Being the Events Coordinator allows me to incorporate these values daily.
