My love letter to Chinatown. 278 line drawings. Today is my last day in New York (for now) after 10 years, so this feels bittersweet. My last night out before the pandemic was in Chinatown for a fundraiser to save 70 Mulberry and just last week, I biked there to get food. Ill share the last few spots and announcements for prints after I settle back on the left coast. Much love to everyone in the community Ive collaborated with, shared a meal with, spent a night out with, or connected with via social. When I started System Failure 01, my intention was for it to be a continuation of the Glitch Series, however, it evolved into something new. The image used was still sourced from a glitch image, however, this time I intentionally left parts of the cross-stitch unfinished. By doing so, I’ve created a glitch within a glitch. Although the work is made by hand, it’s reminiscent of a digital image that was disrupted, due to a “system failure” and was unable to load properly. The database tracks the seasonal changes throughout each month and maps the connection to specific geographies in Hannah’s home of North Wales. This @royalcollegeofart graduate uses unbleached, organic materials and carefully forages a small quantity of plants that are abundant in the local area, to conserve and protect each species. *मुख्यमंत्री ने किया प्रदेश के पहले पिरूल से विद्युत उत्पादन परियोजना का लोकार्पण। मुख्यमंत्री त्रिवेन्द्र सिंह रावत ने विकास खण्ड डुण्डा के ग्राम चकोन धनारी में 25 लाख लागत की 25 किलोवाट क्षमता की पिरूल से विद्युत उत्पादन की पहली परियोजना का लोकार्पण किया। इस अवसर पर मुख्यमंत्री त्रिवेन्द्र ने कहा कि पर्यावरणीय चक्र को आग से बचाने के लिए यह परियोजना बेहद उपयोगी होगी। जंगलों में आग लगने के कारण जहां अनेक पेड, औषधीय पौधें, वनसपत्तियां नष्ट हो जाती थी वहीं बड़ी संख्या में जंगली जानवर भी प्रभावित होते हैं। पिरूल से विद्युत उत्पादन परियोजना के बनने से वनों एवं जीव जन्तुओं को आग से सुरक्षा होगी। तथा इससे रोजगार के अवसर भी पैदा होगें। अभी राज्य को 1 हजार करोड़ की बिजली क्रय करनी पड़ रही है, इस प्रकार की परियोजना के बनने से राज्य को आर्थिक मदद मिलेगी। उन्होंने कहा कि प्रदेश भर में 23 लाख मिट्रीक टन सालाना पिरूल उत्पादन होता है, जिससे लगभग 200 मेगावाट बिजली उत्पादित की जा सकती है। मुख्यमंत्री त्रिवेन्द्र ने कहा कि राज्य के सुदूरवर्ती क्षेत्रों में कालावासा काफी मात्रा में पाया जाता है। इसमें औषधीय तत्व विद्यमान हैं। यह विकरण किरणों से भी बचाता है तथा एंटीबायटिक हैं। मुख्यमंत्री ने किसानों से कालावासा की खेती करने का आवहा्न किया। मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि प्रदेश के सीमान्त क्षेत्रों में नेटवर्किंग की समस्या को देखते हुए 250 सेटेलाईट फोन दिये गए है ताकि सीमान्त वासियों को नेटवर्क को लेकर कोई समस्या न हो। इसी तरह प्रदेश भर में जहां कनेक्टिविटी नहीं है तथा टावर लगाये जाने हैं वहां टावर लगाने के लिए सरकार द्वारा 40 लाख रूपये स्वीकृत किये हैं। सीमान्त वासियों की समस्याओं के निस्तारण के लिए बीएडीपी की तर्ज पर मुख्यमंत्री सीमान्त क्षेत्र विकास निधि में इस वर्ष 20 करोड़ रूपये की व्यवस्था की गई है, ताकि उनकी समस्याओं को हल किया जा सके। मुख्यमंत्री त्रिवेन्द्र ने कहा कि सामरिक दृष्टि से सीमान्त क्षेत्रों में स्थानीय समुदाय का होना अति आवश्यक है। मुख्यमंत्री त्रिवेन्द्र ने कहा कि प्रदेश में जल जीवन मिशन के अन्तर्गत हर घर नल द्वारा जल देना है। इस वर्ष में 10 लाख लोगों को पानी का कनेक्शन देने का लक्ष्य रखा गया है। इस हेतु हर जिले की दैनिक रूप से मॉनिटरिंग की जा रही हैं। ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों में कुल 14 लाख कनेक्शन दिये जाने है। वर्तमान में तीन माह के भीतर 51 हजार कनेक्शन दिये जाने का लक्ष्य रखा गया था जिसमें आज तक 67 हजार कनेक्शन दिए जा चुके हैं। अटल आयुष्मान योजना के अन्तर - @dd_prime_news_uttarakhand on Instagram

@hervisions what should be preserved for future generations? ☠️ The Art of No Likes, Phase 2 “Scratch the Surface and I’ll follow you: Surveillance and Censorship at your Mercy!” Julieta Gil‘s (@julietagilg) Nuestra Victoria, Our Victory, is a series of works that derive from a meticulous documentation of the Angel of Independence, a landmark of Mexico City, after protests against systemic violence towards women erupted last August, 2019. The project intends to create a digital archive of the monument in its state of occupation by civil society. Hours after the protest, government censorship prevented people from seeing the Angel of Independence by boarding it up and immediately working on its restoration, thus erasing all the claims against violence that were posted by women all over the monument. This work allows the words and actions of protest to remain in our collective memory. “After my return from a residency at ACME Studio Associate Artist Residency in London in 2019, I was interested in exploring the concept of materials (soils) in relation to a sense of place. I wanted to make a work using materials that is connected to the spaces they belong. This painting was made using soils I gathered at one place, without caring too much about what colour or type of soils they are. They are just something that are connected by the place they belong. When the painting was done, the contrast between the small space of the painting surface in comparison to the bigger space where I found the soils from, became more apparent. The contrast and difference of colours are just a creation of chance of the different type of soils found in the place. The contrast gives you something to compare but the uniformity of the pattern designs give you something to connect and unify.
