Betritt man die Kirche bemerkt man sehr schnell wie alt die Kirche bereits ist. Sie wurde von Otto I. im 12. Jahrhundert an der Stelle eines heidnischen Quellheiligtums dem Hellabrunn gegründet. Die Mönche schlussfolgerten aus der fehlerhaften lateinischen Übersetzung des Namens den heutigen Namen Heilsbronn also Heilbrunnen. Die Quelle wurde fortan als Heilbrunnen bekannt und lockte so viele Pilger und Gläubige nach Heilsbronn. Die Quelle ist auch heute noch intakt und kann als Wasserquelle benutzt werden. Der Innenraum der Kirche zeigt ganz klar den Stil einer romanischen Basilika erkennbar unter anderem an den Säulen und Rundbögen an den Seitenwänden aus rotem Sandstein. Ebenfalls befinden sich im Innenraum der Kirche Gräber der Adelsfamilie Hohenzollern welche im nächsten Post genauer betrachtet werden. When you enter the church, you quickly notice how old the church is. It was founded by Otto I in the 12th century on the site of a pagan spring sanctuary Hellabrunn. The monks inferred the current name Heilsbronn from the incorrect Latin translation of the name. From then on, the spring became known as a healing fountain and attracted so many pilgrims and believers to Heilsbronn. The spring is still intact today and can be used as a water source. The interior of the church clearly shows the style of a Romanesque basilica, recognizable among other things by the columns and arches on the side walls made of red sandstone. Svađu je otac svih bogova, Zeus, odlučio riješiti tako da to područje dodijeli onome tko će njegovim stanovnicima stvoriti i pokloniti vrjedniji dar. Stvorivši drvo masline, Atena je Grcima poklonila dragocjeni dar i glatko pobijedila Posjedona, koji je po jednoj verziji od morske pjene stvorio brzog konja, a po drugoj izvor slane vode koji je potekao iz kamena. - @restauranologija on Instagram

As humans, we always have the desire to know what the future holds in advance, so that prevention could be made if anything bad occurs. Since the Ancient Greece, divination had already been an important part of everyday life. Various forms of oracles were used to ask for advice on either public or private affairs, but the most prominent one was probably the Oracle of Delphi. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ During the antiquity, the Oracle of Delphi was regarded as the most prestigious and authoritative oracle among the Greeks. Not only from Greece, people from other countries around Europe would also make the journey to Temple of Apollo in order to ask their questions to Pythia, the high priestess who served as the oracle at Delphi. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Little is known of how the Pythia was chosen, but the priestess was most likely selected at the death of her predecessor, from amongst a guild of priestesses of the temple. These women were required to have had a sober life and be of good character. Upon assuming their role as the Pythia, the priestesses had to cease all family responsibilities, marital relations, and individual identity. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The job of a priestess, especially the Pythia, was a respectable career for Greek women.
