- Found stray kittens in our alley. Was told to trap mom then bring her and kittens in to vet. Was turned away by same vet at 11 oclock at night. Realized we couldnt keep mom and kittens apart till morning. Had to go MacGyver on cage to keep mom from escaping. This is the (successful) result.

I’m sitting here in bed going through these photos of them on my Instagram and I feel so far away from them now. I want to go back & sit with her, just hold her & cry because I don’t know how to save her You have no idea how it feels going into this darkness, seeing them like this. Scroll back up & really look at her, look at her eyes & her babies...are we really doing this to them? I have literally died inside. I’ll never feel real happiness while they are suffering, I can feel them in my soul every minute of the day, behind every “happy moment” all my jokes & laughs, she’s there. All of them are, sitting so heavy inside my chest. I’ve said this for years & it’s still the same, even though I appear happier now, I’ll never leave the darkness. My friend told me a few months ago that my ex Jessie messaged him while we were together saying “I’ve lost her bro, she’s gone into the darkness from this & she’s not coming back” hearing that really hit me I did mushrooms once to try & release some of this, because seeing a psychologist just doesn’t help, they really just don’t get it. During the trip I was hanging off my bed crying in so much pain, my friend was telling me it’s ok to let go now, that I can’t carry all of this but I can still fight for them. I was crying hysterically saying no into my pillow curled up “I’m staying with them” If I leave the darkness it means I’ve let go of them. I refuse to just get on with my life. That’s why I keep going back If you haven’t been inside & met them like this you will never understand what if feels like. The suffering in the air as you walk toward these sheds. Opening the door & seeing all of them. I can’t smell the night air without thinking of them now There is a real darkness in this world & it’s us, we are doing this to them by choice. We have chosen to be evil, allow the industry to hide them away, package their bodies & feed us lies. I refuse to let them win. This needs to end. I don’t know why anyone would be ok with paying for this to happen to someone else. This is her life, this is her soul, her body. Who are we to do this. Who remembers 56 pigs that we rescued? Who knows how long a pig stays pregnant? I did not know😅 4 months. So we bought out pregnant pigs!!! Some of them already delivered and we built them separately spaces, but we raised for my dream pig paradise not much so construction is not happening...😔 Now we are to build it cause now in our care is much more then 56 pigs. Ieri nel tardo pomeriggio mentre passeggiava per le campagne della zona ovest della città di Milano, una signora ha notato che il proprio cane era attratto dalla presenza di qualcosa che si muoveva sotto un cespuglio sulla sponda di un piccolo torrente. Ha subito richiamato il proprio cane e si è avvicinata per verificare l’eventuale presenza di un animale in difficoltà: con sua enorme sorpresa ha visto una piccola volpe rannicchiata bagnata, immobile e che faceva fatica a muoversi. Ha provato a cercare aiuto contattando i Vigili del Fuoco ma non avendo squadre a disposizione che potessero intervenire in poco tempo ed essendo ormai tardi per un recupero dell’animale con il buio, ha portato sul posto un po’ di carne cruda per la volpe sperando di riuscire l’indomani a contattare di nuovo i soccorritori. Solo oggi la signora è stata messa in contatto con gli operatori dell’ENPA di Milano che sono subito intervenuti recuperando l’animale proprio nello stesso punto dove era il giorno prima. La volpe è stata dapprima trasferita presso la clinica veterinaria dell’ENPA di Milano dove è stata sottoposta a radiografia per verificare quale potesse essere il motivo della difficoltà di movimento agli arti posteriori e successivamente, una volta stabilizzata, è stata trasferita presso il CRAS di Vanzago. Al momento è tenuta sotto osservazione e viene monitorata costantemente. “La volpe è molto magra, segno che purtroppo è da tempo in difficoltà e che ha fatto molta fatica a procacciarsi del cibo” ha commentato Ermanno Giudici presidente di ENPA Milano. “Purtroppo, in questi casi la loro sopravvivenza dipende sempre dalla possibilità che qualcuno si accorga subito delle difficoltà dell’animale, che può essere salvato solo con un tempestivo intervento dei soccorritori. Ci auguriamo che questa volpe ce la faccia a riprendersi. Last night I assisted three fellow activists in the rescuing of three piglets in Melbourne. They were bought for a Melbourne Cup party and made to race and were then destined to end up on somebodies plate. We suspect that they have severe sunburn or mange due to the condition of their skin. And they all currently have ear infections and worms which can now be treated. I am very happy that these boys and girl get to live out the rest of their lives free from harm and never end up as anybodies meal 😊 - @vegansofaustralia on Instagram
