Muchas aves se encuentran anidando o con sus polluelos en esta temporada. En este caso vemos a un polluelo de Queltehue que fue encontrado en el suelo en la comuna de Concón, aveces el instinto o las ganas de ayudar nos puede llevar a realizar acciones equivocadas por ignorancia muchas veces. No todas las aves anidan en los árboles o estructuras en altura. Tal es el caso del Queltehue que anida la gran mayoría de las veces en el suelo, con pocas ramitas o simplemente en el suelo casi descubierto muchas veces no notamos la presencia. Cómo dato las crías del Queltehue son nidífugas esto quiere decir que pueden dejar el nido a los pocos minutos de salir del huevo. También son autofagas quiere decir que se pueden alimentar solos de forma independiente, aunque aún requieren el cuidado de los padres. Por lo tanto si vez un polluelo de Queltehue deambulando es probable que explore el terreno o este buscando alimento. Se recomienda no tomarlos a menos que corra un peligro inminente como perros y gatos, también riesgo de atropello u otro peligro justificable. Lo mejor es devolverlo al nido, si no se encuentra llevarlo a un centro de rescate. Agradecemos la confianza que tienen mucha veces al escribirnos si bien no somos expertos la colaboración como organización con organismos, ONGS, fundaciones y ornitólogos nos lleva a orientar en muchos casos. Somos sinceros si no tenemos las competencias, equipo y permisos para intervenir es mejor derivar a una entidad o persona experta en la materia. En este caso el polluelo fue devuelto a su nido por la familia que lo encontró, inmediatamente como sabrán no fueron bien recibidos por la pareja de Queltehues que exigía la entrega de su polluelo de forma no muy diplomática jajaja. Por lo tanto eviten tomarlos si no quieren correr a espolonazos. La primera fotografía es de la cría que fue devuelta, queremos mantener anónimo el registro ya que es educativo. La segunda fotografía es de un Queltehue adulto de @pvblomaldo , para que puedan identificarlos. La tercera fotografía es de un nido, sólo para reconocerlos se recomienda no acercarse a ellos.
