Síce neskoro, ale predsa. Keď mi už po niekoľkýkrát moji rodičia pripomenuli, že som stále nezdieľala poďakovanie k mojej novej kolekcii viem, že je ten najvysší čas tak urobiť. Tentokrát som však hneď po uvedení kolekcie Prahu opustila a nechala si čas na premyslenie si a zrekapitulovanie si toho čo sme vytvorili. Po dovolenke som dospela k tomu, že sme presne to čo sme zaumienili aj odprezentovali, ale najmä na to, že som nesmierne vďačná za to, kým som obklopená. V úvode poďakovania chcem hneď spomenúť mojich rodičov. Mojich najdôležitejších ľudí na svete, mojich najväčších radcov aj kritikov, ale hlavne moju najväčšiu oporu. Ďakujem za výchovu, ktorú ste mi dali, za každú knihu čo ste mi prečítali, za všetky galérie po ktorých ste ma povláčili, za každý krúžok výtvarnú, tanečnú, kone, jazyky kam ste ma denne nosili, za “od začiatku do konca” milujem vás najviac na celom svete! Mojej celej rodine, úžasným babičkám a dedkom a v tomto prípade, keďže sa jedná o módu v prvom rade mojej babičke Aliciji, ktorej bola táto kolekcia venovaná a na základe ktorej estetiky, princípov a vkusu bola vytvorená. Babička bez teba by som nikdy nerobila to čo robím a nemala túžbu robiť ženy skrz odev silnejšími. U babičky som si totiž uvedomila akú má odev moc a čo dokáže s osobou robiť nie len po jej fyzickej, ale psychickej stránke. Moja babička žila do tohto roku, a to z veľkej časti posledné roky, len kvôli túžbe sa ráno pekne obliecť a upraviť. Po tom ako som takmer polku svojho života strávila ako študent módy a v odeve hľadala všetky možné smery, princípy, otázky a odpovede som sa pri pohľade na moju babičku vždy vrátila k záveru, že chcem robiť ženy krásne, pretože to je v svojej podstate to najdôležitejšie a to najväčšie “umenie” . Čo pojem krása znamená si definujte už sami, ale ja svoju odpoveď mám a že je na správnej ceste mi denne odpovedajú desiatky našich stálych klientiek. To že stretnem ženu na ulici v mojich šatách a poďakuje mi za to, že som jej spravila deň lepší, lebo sa cíti ako full time diva s tým, že presne vystihuje význam toho slovného spojenia mi stačí, viac než stačí. Dla spotkania z nimi, warto było! . Jest mi niezmiernie miło, że śledzicie moje modowe zmagania 💕 I z całego serca dziękuję Wszystkim za ogromne wsparcie w dniu castingu 😘 . Szkoda tylko, że nie pokazali co zaprezentowałam... ale za to dostałam pozytywny feedback od jurorów 😍 Podobała im się stylizacja, którą zaproponowałam i połączenia kolorystyczne, pochwalili moje portfolio i powiedzieli, by dalej iść w tym kierunku 💪 Więc wiecie, ja już czułam się zwycięzcą 😅 i nie musiałam stanąć przed trudnym wyborem pomiędzy programem, a rekolekcjami z rodziną, które były w tym samym czasie co realizacja programu... Także wróciłam bardzo szczęśliwa i nie żałuję, że spróbowałam 😉 A decyzja o rekolekcjach była jedną z najlepszych decyzji w ostatnim czasie 😍 PS. Natasha Simpson, a fourth-year Fashion Design student, spent the last year working with a Dutch fashion designer in Amsterdam. She was able to have this year abroad by incorporating a year of placement into her degree. • Id never been to Amsterdam, but I was attracted to its designers and the possibilities it had. Underneath the stereotype, the city is rich in culture, diversity and history. A city that seemed to be a weekend destination of choice for most quickly turned into a place I called home. Located in the heart of Amsterdam, my placement with a Dutch fashion designer called Leon Klassen Bos. The brand was called LeonLeon, and the studio was dripping in culture. • During my placement, I had several responsibilities including, opening and closing the studio, assisting in draping and sewing new creations and fixing garments modelled in previous collections. • My favourite memory was being a part of the Moet & Chandon 150th Anniversary for their MOËT IMPÉRIAL champagne. Not only was I lucky enough to attend the event, but I also helped to get models organised and dressed in the garments I helped make. It was a momentous occasion for me, and even thinking about it now fills my heart with happiness. • I lived in a place similar to student halls. It was called HotelJansen, about 30 minutes away from Amsterdam city centre by metro. I had my own room with an en-suite and shared a kitchen with 27 others. • The skills, techniques and connections I gained through my placement are invaluable.
