Fashion show backstage experiences can be anywhere from mindnumbing to an enlightening borderline psychedelic trip depending on who you talk to and how much hairspray you breathe in. Sometimes however you forget to bring a book and are in your own world staring at an array of walls, ceilings, and floors after you’ve memorized everyone’s name, dietary preference, and country of origin.. Anyways.. these pics recently surfaced and reminded me on that day after havin a few coffee chats with a few extremely excited and exciting influencers (one of which preferred almond, the other, oat milk), I found a not-so-busy corner to write a dystopian short story after our nespresso (#notanad) machine broke and the conversations waned.. set in a world where nobody has anything tangible to do .. to resolve their perpetual angst and suffering they come to realize that the best way to help themselves is to help the other.. so they spend their time drinking coffee, helping other people feel as motivated as they do about helping eachother. But then the coffee runs out and all hell breaks loose as nobody is motivated to motivate and as such the next person is not motivated to motivate ... Anyways... feelin a bit fogged and far from motivated today, which begs the question should one be doing things they need incessant motivation to do? IDK the answer, but what I do know is that I have coffee and the help I need, #motivationmonday, is only four days away so I’ll keep doing em anyways! It took more than 855 job applications before stroke victim David Franks finally found an employer to give him a chance. David now works in administration at the Gold Coast University Hospital – the place he did his rehab. David suffered a massive stroke four years ago and had to learn how to walk and communicate again. He now cycles to work and has spent the past few years continuing his education gaining certificate qualifications – he is even qualified to do tax returns. Yet he struggled to find work until he was given an opportunity through Gold Coast Health’s DisTinct Pathways Program. The DisTinct Pathways Program allows people living with a disability, to work in paid employment at Gold Coast Health in an area of their interest for 16 weeks. He has since gained contracts in his administration role with Allied Health. Thanks to the support and encouragement he received through his rehabilitation at Gold Coast Health, David is even considering physiotherapy as his next career move. - @goldcoast.health on Instagram

So Age of Empires II Definitive Edition had finally made its public release last Friday. The game is an amazing tribute to the original fan base while also offering a whole bunch of added features that make it feel like an entirely new game as well. We briefly got word back in 2017 at Gamescom of the game being in development. Fast forward to Xbox X019 and we are teased with Age of Empires IV footage. The last AOE release (not including the AOE1 Definitive Edition) was Age of Empires 3 which was back in 2005 with 2 DLC’s following in 2006 and 2007. So it’s been a long wait and you can bet I AM SO DAMN KEEN. This was the game that really ignited my love for video games as a kid. I had this game long before Nutri-Grain had it in their cereal 🤣. I was lucky enough to test AOE2: DE in open and closed beta testing so I’m hoping I can get my hands on this for earlier testing. Thank you to one of the kindest queens I know @elsie for nominating me to take part in the Do Good Challenge for the @paulwalkerfdn, and thank you @meadowwalker for sharing this movement with the world and honoring your father’s birthday in such a beautiful way. Over the past couple of days I’ve been working with an incredible group of humans in Los Angeles (alongside my amazing friend of 10 years @ladandavia) on trapping and rescuing a small cat colony in West Hollywood. After seeing a call to action post on Nextdoor, I rushed in to help where I could. This amazing community of animal lovers has already rescued three of six of the cats (three 4-week-old kittens, two 3-month-old kittens, and a mama) living in this colony. Two of the youngest babies are with me while one of the older kittens is receiving medical help with another volunteer. (P.S. yes the three baby girl kittens are named after the Powerpuff Girls!! 💙💚💗) I’ve been floored by the kindness, generosity, and empathy exhibited through this grassroots movement of complete strangers bonded together by our call to help these animals. It is a humbling reminder of what I believe is our true purpose on this planet: to help one another, be it for our animal or human family in need. Algumas dicas para organizar o Home office e ser mais produtivo! 1. Rotina - uma das maiores vantagens do Home office é poder flexibilizar os horários, mas isso não quer dizer que você trabalhará 24 horas por dia ou trabalhará pouco. É necessários que tenha equilíbrio entre as tarefas e o lazer. Tenha horário certo para acordar, tomar o café, fazer suas atividades, iniciar o trabalho, os horários de intervalos e o final do expediente. 2. Ambiente de trabalho - escolher um local da casa para ser o seu espaço de trabalho, que inconscientemente nos ajuda a compreender que estamos no momento de trabalhar, o que auxilia a na conexão e concentração com o trabalho! 3. Aprender a dizer não - o fato de estar em casa não significa que estamos 100% disponíveis! Organize as atividades da casa para fazer antes ou após o expediente ou nos intervalos! 4. Planejamento e administração das tarefas - a gestão do tempo está relacionada a técnicas de como ser produtivo no Home office e alcançar melhores resultados, conseguir se organizar, otimizar e aproveitar melhor o tempo. Para melhorar a gestão do tempo, é necessário listar as atividades do dia, priorizar aquelas de maior importância e limitar o tempo de cada uma delas! 5. Programe os intervalos - não pare quando sentir vontade. Ter disciplina e obedecer os horários de pausa são necessários para que você consiga produzir mais no trabalho. Intervalos de 5 a 10 minutos são o suficiente para manter o rendimento! 6. Roupa de trabalho - é prejudicial confundir as funções do trabalho com as da casa. O ideal é colocar uma roupa de trabalho, confortável, mas que não seja o pijama. 7. Organização - ter uma mesa bagunçada não funciona no escritorio e nem em casa, mantenha a vista apenas os itens realmente importantes e o que precisa usar! 8.
