Un proyecto colectivo El despertar social se pone de pie y consagra mediante la participación y compromiso activo de la ciudadanía y juventud. La acción e impulso de las diversas organizaciones de la sociedad civil promovió que finalmente nuestro país concretara un gran avance con la ratificación del Acuerdo de Escazú, procurando ser el 10° entre los países de América Latina y el Caribe. Pero aún debemos ir por más. Ante el colapso ecosistémico que se avecina, cuyas consecuencias aún la sociedad en su conjunto ignora, debemos impulsar la praxis socioambiental transformadora. Ser activos sujetos de la transformación social. De esta forma, debemos cuestionarnos por un lado, las injustas y desiguales realidades que poseemos y que condenan a la pobreza y subsistencia a la mitad de la población de nuestro país y, por otro lado, debatir nuestros modelos de desarrollo, producción y utilización de los recursos naturales, instaurando así una cultura regenerativa, consciente y garante de la preservación ambiental y ecosistémica. En definitiva, debemos acordar políticas públicas que nos permitan superar y abolir las desigualdades estructurales que poseemos, las cuales tanto daño nos ocasionan, y promover un proyecto de país con una fuerte y nítida perspectiva ambiental y ecológica. A su vez, considerando que todo proyecto educativo es un proyecto político en la medida en que implica una práctica humana, una praxis, es decir, acciones con sentido dirigidas hacia determinados fines sociales, resulta imperioso la incorporación de una ley de Educación Ambiental con implementación integral y transversal en nuestro territorio nacional, para propiciar de esta forma la construcción de una ciudadanía activa, consciente y comprometida socioambientalmente. Estoy convencida que la salida es colectiva, no por Ezeiza como muchos plantean, sino en conjunto, con un horizonte en común que garantice oportunidades de desarrollo y calidad de vida para todxs, contemplando la preservación ambiental y ecológica como eje central para la construcción del país y mundo que queremos vivir. ¡Gracias companerxs! But so many of us are working so hard we cant even reflect on who we are. Are we doing what we think we should do or are we living with intentionality? To live with intention, one must be clear on their values. We need to narrow the distance between our values and our actions. What is or are your guiding lights? You might not know. So reflect and be brutally honest. Take an inventory of yourself. If you value health, are you exercising and making nutrient dense food choices? If you value friendships, do you make an effort to stay connected and support? If you value charity, do you make an effort to volunteer or donate? What if my values conflict sometimes? Sometimes they will, and youll have to figure it out. Making a conscious effort to live in alignment with your values can be uncomfortable and freeing at the same time. It takes practice, there will be missteps. I did this cool thing last week: I was lucky to participate in Masks of Boston, a poignant photography project by @katherinetaylorphoto (https://www.masksofboston.com/kristenstrezo) I wore my clear face mask that I wear for my deaf grandmother who reads lips. Grams’ ability to connect to the world—hearing impaired— during COVID is even more distanced now because of face masks. I was able to purchase this mask from The Tailor Pros in Sutton, MA.
