Update regarding COVID-19 — Chancellor Woodson announced today that starting on Monday, Aug. 24, all undergraduate courses will move to online instruction. Read a portion of his letter below. Link in bio for full text. Graduate courses and clinical education may continue to meet in-person or in a hybrid format. NC State’s research laboratories will remain open and fully operational, and research opportunities for students will continue. We understand how important it is for many of our students, and their families, to have the benefits of an on-campus experience. For our residential students who want to continue living on campus and receiving the support it provides, you are welcome to stay — we are not closing on-campus housing. With oversight from dedicated staff and RA’s, and the continued outstanding cooperation from student residents, we are confident that the spread of the virus can be limited. We’ll continue proactively monitoring the virus with the hope of keeping on-campus housing open throughout the semester. Of course, we’ll change direction if needed in order to protect our students and staff. We also understand that some students who decided to live in residence halls on campus this semester may not be interested in staying if all their courses are all online. Others are concerned about remaining in residence housing given the spread of COVID-19 in the broader community. If you choose to move home, you can cancel your University Housing contract with no penalty, and you will be reimbursed the prorated amount for housing and dining. Please contact University Housing or University Dining for more information. Additional information will follow, but it is our intention to keep campus facilities open. Student Health Services and the Counseling Center will continue to provide services. Measures such as required face coverings and physical distancing will continue everywhere on campus. We are not where we hoped to be today, but we’ll learn from this too, with the goal of returning fully and proudly to campus, as one Wolfpack, in the new year. Lo sapevate che la metropolitana di Napoli offre alcune delle stazioni più belle al mondo? Questa è la più bella di tutte, la fermata “Toledo”, premiata diverse volte e secondo molti la stazione più bella in Europa e non solo. Naturalmente non bisogna dirlo troppo forte, Stoccolma e Mosca potrebbero dissentire, ma valuterete voi nel mio prossimo video dove vi racconto tutte le fermate della metro dell’arte di Napoli. La mia conclusione, per ora, é che la metro di Mosca (che ha quasi 100 anni, non dimentichiamolo) resta la più bella nel complesso, anche per il suo inestimabile valore storico, ma se dovessi dire la singola stazione più bella che abbia mai vista...insomma, In questo momento direi Toledo, è davvero un gioiello tra i gioielli di questa meravigliosa città. Everything old is new again! This weekend, we were joined by Mayor @johntory and MP @marcomendicino at Glencairn Station to mark the completion of the new skylights! They may look familiar to some of our customers as the new skylights incorporate the original artwork from artist Rita Letendre, who was behind the original coloured skylights at Glencairn Station in 1978. The TTC replaced leaking skylights along the entire length of the station and over each of the three entrances.
